tim  sat  on  the  floor  next  to  babs ,  a  childish  pout  very  age  appropriate  frown  resting  on  his  lips.   he  kept  his  attention  away  from  @nocturnix  in  a  vein  attempt  to  not  crumble  under  her  gaze  as  they  sat  in  silence.  squirming  under  the  quiet ,  tim  finally  chanced  a  glance  toward  the  other.

to  but  it  bluntly ,  no.  tim  is  just  fundementally  not  an  honest  person.  most  of  the  time  his  lies  come  out  of  necessity ( keeping  an  identity  safe ,  protecting  himself /  others )  but  that  doesn't  mean  he  is  honest  in  any  other  given  situation.  this  is  the  kid  who  lied  about  having  an  uncle  to  avoid  dealing  with  both  the  foster  system  and  adoption.  this  is  the  kid  who  lied  in  the  face  of  every  single  authority  figure  in  his  life  on  multiple  occasions.  he  wants  to  be  honest ,  especially  with  the  people  he  loves , but  after  spending  a  good  chunk  of  his  developmental  life  lying  to  almost  everyone ,  it's  hard  to  stop.

tim  playfully  tapped  emma's  phone  against  his  chin , almost  like  he  was  considering  her  threat.  it  was  so  easy  to  tease  the  younger ,  especially  when  she  didn't  even  notice  him  sneaking  up  behind  her  in  the  cave  and  grabbing  the  device  without  a  care  in  the  world.  the  smirk  that  played  on  his  lips  was  one  of  mischief ,  of  pure  teasing  to  come.

🙶 hmm.  i  don't  know  em ,  when  was  the  last  time  you  were  even  able  to  catch  me ?  besides ,  can't  a  brother  make  sure  his  little  sister  isn't  doing  anything  dear  old  dad  won't  approve  of ? 🙷  there  was  no  way  tim  was  actually  going  to  go  through  her  phone ,  but  there  was  something  fun  about  making  the  younger  robin's  blood  pump  with  just  the  thought  of  him  doing  so.

tim  snapped  his  attention  toward  where  the  kryptonian  was  looking ,  the  unsettling  feeling  the  other  mentioned  settling  in.  he  was  right ,  despite  the  large  blaze  that  was  burning  in  the  distance ,  the  sky  remained  as  clear  as  ever.  eyebrows  pinched  together  as  the  young  detective  processed  what  was  before  him.  🙶 magic ?  or  maybe  an  illusion ? 🙷 the  question  wasn't  really  directed  at  clark  as  tim  scanned  the  surrounding  area ,  hoping  to  find  something  that  would  give  it  away.  not  being  able  to  find  anything ,  the  younger  hero  turned  his  attention  back  to  the  other.  

🙶 either  way  could  very  easily  be  a  trap.  fake  a  burning  building  to  bring  in  a  handful  of  heroes . . .  but  who  would  want  that ? 🙷

look ,  as  much  as  tim  advocates  for  robin  independence  ( his  entire  time  under  said  mantel  would  show  that  loud  and  clear )  he  really  couldn't  find  a  good  reason  to  turn  down  bruce's  request  for  him  to  tail  the  newest  bird  on  one  of  her  solo  patrols.  he  knew  it  was  coming  out  of  a  place  of  concern  more  than  not  thinking  she  was  capable ,  plus , rook  had  no  ongoing  cases  so  it  gave  him  something  to  do ,  so  a  win  for  everyone.  it  was  especially  a  win  for  @thegirlwondcr  when  tim  snapped  his  arm  out  from  his  hiding  place  to  catch  the  younger  robin  by  her  cape  before  she  could  tumble  of  a  ten  story  building. 

🙶  ya  know , i  now  understand  why  b  is  so  insistent  on  us  all  having  capes , 🙷 rook  jokes  lightheartedly  as  he  helped  robin  correct  herself. 🙶 you  good ? 🙷

it's  cliche  as  hell ,  but  he  genuinely  does  feel  the  safest  when  he's  with  the  core  four.  something  about  being  with  kon  cassie  and  bart  that  just  puts  him  at  ease.  it's  very  easy  for  him  to  relax , and  he  only  ever  relaxes  when  he  feels  safe.  the  only  other  time  he'll  relax  and  feel  safe  is  if  he  is  with  cass  or  dick.  in  terms  of  his  family ,  they  are  the  ones  who  have  always  had  his  back  and  have  protected  him. 

[ 🪶 ]ㅤ.ㅤhow do they laugh ?

depends  on  the  setting.  when  in  the  mask ,  he  very  much  cackles ,  like  full  on  deranged , evil  cackling.  it's  absolutely  something  he  picked  up  from  dick  unintentionally  but  it  does  a  damn  good  job  at  scaring  criminals.  when  in  public  settings  as  tim  drake,  he  has  a  very  manufactured  laugh.  while  it  doesn't  necessarily  sound  fake ,  most  can  tell  it's  not  genuine  and  mainly  just  there  for  pleasentries.  its  only  when  tim's  in  private  or  around  his  friends  and  family  does  tim  actually  show  his  real  laugh ,  and  even  then  it's  not  very  loud.  tim  tends  to  chuckle  more  than  anything ,  low  huffs  of  laughter  that  ride  more  under  his  breath  than  anything.  if   he  finds  something  extremely  amusing  or  funny  he  will  either  snort  or  bark  out  a  short  but  loud  laugh.  the  quieter  or  the  shorter  the  laugh  is ,  the  more sincere  it  is. 

[ 🎀 ]ㅤ.ㅤwhat is their main love language ?

absolutely  acts  of  service ,  but  quality  time  is  very  much  a  close  second.  physical  touch  and  words  of  affirmation  don't  do  a  whole  lot  for  tim ,  and  he  has  some  heavy  trauma  surrounding  gifts  and  gift  giving ,  so  those  three  really  do  nothing  for  him.  tim  very  much  would  rather  show  that  he is  there  for  someone  by  being  physically  present  with  them ,  and  with  how  much  he  values  being  useful  and  helpful ,  especially  to  those  who  he  loves ,  it's  just  a  given  that  acts  of  service  is  how  he  shows  his  love. 

[ 🧭 ]ㅤ.ㅤwhere would they go if they could disappear tomorrow ?

i  don't  think  he  would  have  a  specific  place  in  mind ,  but he  would  just  go  somewhere  where  he  couldn't  be  found.  somewhere  that's  heavily  disconnected  from  the  world  at  large ,  off  the  grid  and  quiet.  somewhere  remote ,  the  last  place  anyone  would  think  to  look  for  him.  if  he  was  going  to  disappear ,  he  would  make  sure  that  he  actually  disappeared  and  would  never  be  found  unless  he  wanted  to  be  found  ( and  knowing  the  kind  of  person  tim  is ,  he  would  probably  succeed )

tim  wasn't  even  going  to  lie  to  himself  and  say  that  the  sigh  he  let  out  was  not  in  relief.  he  knew  it  was  a   big  ask  of  clark  to  just  have  the  other  trust  him  and  not  interfear  with  the  investigation  he  was  doing  into  lex ,  but  to  have  both  the  super's  permission  and  trust  was  extremely  reassuring. 

🙶 have  i  ever  told  you  that  you're  my  favorite  super ?  🙷 a  bold  face  lie  he  knows  clark  will  see  through , but  hopefully  it  gets  a  good  laugh  out  of  the  other.
