you know why i will never be normal about q!bad and pomme and dapper's relationship? their little family?

pomme chose q!bad. q!bad and dapper chose pomme. there was no expectations, no need to be something or other, no innate responsibility... they just chose each other. they fill a specific role in each other's lives that is so needed but so subtle, so full of love and understanding and words that don't need to be said because they get it.

pomme doesn't have to sit in the dark in her bed unable to sleep, she always has dad there. he watches over the night and over her.

q!bad doesn't have to sit and feel like it's just him and dapper against the world at every single second, he knows the clock turns and his little girl shows up. he hasn't known loneliness with pomme by his side.

dapper gets to be a kid with another kid's hand in his, gets to share the worries and concerns about his very odd life with someone else who understands. he doesn't just need to protect, he gets to be protected in a way and by someone that isn't dad.
