ok, those are some really great movies and now I am in the mood to watch them all ! also tnbc is also one of my favorite movies of all time. i'm a sucker for tim burton movies tbh. movies out of the way, the next big christmas thing is obvious the music. so my question today is: what are your top three ( or more ) christmas songs? ps. okay! so i’ve thought about it, & my top three christmas songs are:

fairytale of new york - the pogues. coming from an irish family means this gets played a lot over the holiday season, & why not? it’s poignant, funny, & beautiful!

merry christmas, everyone - shakin’ stevens. i just really love this song at christmastime, & tend to play it a lot.

all i want for christmas is you - a classic, & i really do love my chemical romance’s version of the song ( especially when i was younger ), though i’ve discovered a newfound appreciation for mariah’s in recent years.

although i no longer like him as an artist, i’m still partial to nevershoutnever!’s 30days to ease me into the holiday season, because it’s just stupidly cute & a little sad, & it’s a good ‘christmas in a month!’ countdown.

i'm good thank you!! and it's going well. i have almost all of my gifts in for other people, and we're spending the day at my sister's this year so it should be fun. and wow, okay that sounds like an awesome christmas tbh! big get togethers are always a good time. today's question is: what are your top three christmas movies and why?

i literally just finished wrapping the last of the gifts today, & we haven’t even got our tree yet! i’m oddly organised this year. 

my three favourite christmas movies - difficult question. alright, in no particular order:

love actually. it’s just such a good everyone’s connected / isn’t just about christmas type movie, & i love them. i like movies that happen to be set at christmas, but it isn’t their overarching plot ( for the most part! )

home alone. honestly, who doesn’t love this movie ? i also consider it to be a set at christmas but isn’t wholly about christmas movie, because really, they could have gone on holiday at any time - it just happened to be more convenient ( & their reunion cuter ) that it was at christmas.

miracle on 34th st ( 1994 ). okay, so this is purely a christmas at christmas movie, & i haven’t actually seen it in years ( so it may not be what i remember ! ), but i love mara wilson in it, & who can say no to richard attenborough as kris kringle, really.

BONUS:

the nightmare before christmas. i don’t fully consider this movie a christmas film, & i’m more likely to watch it in october than i am in december, hence why i didn’t put it in the above list. but tnbc is one of my all-time-ever favourite films & i just had to include it !

BONUS BONUS ( because i tend to watch these around christmas more than some i mentioned ):

elf. i mean, with line’s like SANTA! I KNOW HIM! that my aunt & i gasped loudly to each other when we saw store santas in ireland – it has to be on the list somewhere !

die hard. i’m always down for a good action flick, & this is a classic – that just happens to be set around christmas.

hello, your secret santa here again !! first of all, how are you? how's your day going so far? well, I hope. I thought throughout the month of december i would send you some questions. so today i have two: one, what is YOUR fondest christmas memory? and two, which of your muses enjoys the holiday's most and why?

hallo! my day’s been pretty alright — i sent off my presents for the reddit secret santa exchange so i’m feeling pretty good about that ! with regards to christmas, gosh! i have a lot of fond memories. the fondest are probably the two christmases that i was in ireland for with my extended family ; there were 40+ of us & it was just a radically different experience to my usual christmases ( which are spent at home in my pyjamas watching movies with my immediate family, & not answering the phone or door ! ) but christmas 2k14 was the only christmas i’ve ever had with snow, so that was pretty cool ( it was also an ireland christmas, which made it even better ! )as for the muse/s that most enjoy the holidays ? i’d have to say alistair, kimi, heath, alaska, elisa, apple, & damian ( arguably the most, once someone explains it to him – though he’s not good with the whole snow aspect, seeing as he melts it very easily )!but what about you ? how are you ? how’s your christmas month going so far ? any plans ?
