🌸 Gluttony's Bakery Diary!!!!

Hello hello!!! I've been bakin' and tryin some new recipes to add to the bakery menu recently n wanted to share my results! Greed said maybe it would be funs and you guys might wanna buy somes 🥺

Mmm so I wanted to do Disney stuff hehe, coz lots of lil kiddies come to the bakery! Kids love cupcakes so I started with a normal vanilla cupcake recipe n added confetti sprinkles in the batter to make them more fun! M then I used fondant and a teeny bit of modelling chocolate to make the faces of the Winnie the Pooh characters. My favourite is definitely Eeyore hehe, Eeyore best donkey 🥺🥺🥺.

N then, I thought we don't have a lot of macarons on the menu so I made these! The Donald duck ones are lychee flavoured, the Daisy duck ones are raspberry, the Piglet ones are rose and the Winnie ones are honey flavoured! I think these are really cutes and had a hard time eating them ;-; I didn't wanna nom nom they're cute faces ;-;. At first I had a lil mishap with the merengue because I may have underwhipped and may have overconfidently held it over my head :(((( so I nearly have up with these but hey! They look good now hehe.

I also added these fun animal donuts to the menu!!!! I went to the zoo recently n was super inspired hehe. They're either plain or chocolate donuts and are iced with royal icing! Hehe they're fun so I think people will like them, or sat least I hope they do 🥺

Happy Friday! The weekends already here! How have you guys been!

Woah, it feels like forever since I was last here talking to y'all, doesn't it? Have you been taking care? Eating enough? Sleeping? Taking breaks? Showering? I know I always say the same things, but some of you seem to forget about them no matter what, a reminder to take care of yourselves and prioritize your wellbeing is always important.

I hope your week was good and you managed to do all you wanted to do.

For me, luckily, it's been a nice week! Busy, as always, but good overall! We were preparing the last few days for an important radio show with my boys today, you know producers not always get to be interviewed like this, it was quite nerve wrecking, not gonna lie haha. Shout out to the stylists for making us look half decent! We weren't aware it was recorded so we were quite a mess when we arrived. I'm confident we did well and got our message across properly, though! I'm not sure if any of you really listen to the radio anymore- Channie says it's a boomer thing, so I guess it makes sense it was recorded LOL.

I decided to treat my boys after, they did a great job! You know when you're used to someone being messy and suddenly you get to see them on their zone? I love it when I get to see and listen to Bin and Sung all focused and collected. I feel like a proud dad haha raised them well. I took them to get some breakfast, it had also been a while since we were the three of us alone, so it was very nice.

Anyway! I hope your Friday went as you expected! And if not, remember there's always time, alright? There's always a second chance. Stressing about things it's ok, but don't let it get to your heads too much!

Take care and remember to always go at your own pace, you have nothing to prove to anyone.

I'm proud of you. You're doing well. Keep fighting, ok? And if you ever feel tired, need to take a break, that's ok! Just don't drop the towel, hm? Because you'll need it once you get the strength to keep going.

Anyway as you can see, sadly for some, luckily for others, I'm still alive and well. Heart beating, healing working and shit.

Week's been weird, quite busy, my house is full of scents, some of yall need to shower before coming over. Nothing that I couldn't handle, though. Guess that's why I have a woods candle or whatever.

Somehow there's a TV at my place now, we been watching Netflix a lot with the lady. The lady is Irene, not Venus. Venus is a traitor. Figured out she likes Irene more than she likes me though, but that's ok, I guess, I like Irene better than me too.

We are taking food deliveries, by the way, if you wanted to know... Ehem. Anyway. Goodbye.

Art diary: Commission #1

So I received my first commission recently! Wahhhh exciting hehe. I only recently started taking commissions after finishing school so working on this was pretty cool and a good starting point.

Miss @vitoria-oc , hehe, the cool swaggy business lady herself was talking to me and asked for a set of three and a singular piece of some flowers and very excitingly, gave me creative freedom with the types of flowers and colours and things!!!

The set of three she said had to be small and elegant for her office so I went with these small A5 canvases and chose a lotus flower, and it's stages of blooming, as the subject. I knew watercolour would look the best for this so I had to find some watercolour canvases since normal canvases aren't primed for watercolours ;-;. Anyways I think these turned out really nice and look elegant, just like Vitoria hehe.

For the bigger piece I wanted to do multiple flowers on the same A2 canvas and chose to use acrylic instead to get bolder colours. I'm not sure what flowers these are jsjsjs but the reference image I used was so pretty, I had to use it. I think the level of detail is really nice and the colours pop against this greyish background I chose, but if I could change it, I would try to blend the highlights better on the far left flower.

Overall this project was really really fun to do since I had so much creative freedom. Also it was nice to get my mind off all the pregnancy symptoms and stuff happening rn for me ;-;. Mhmmm... So yeah! First commission was successful and I hope you like it Vitoria!!!

Oh I will be taking commissions for anyone who wants to request one btw :D

New Chapter~

So I learnt some new maths things while I was gone and apparently 1+1=3! After a long time thinking and trying, I'm very happy to announce that Channie and I are expecting our first baby in June! It was surprising for us when we found out in late March but very much a welcome surprise. We're both over the moon and can't wait to meet our little beanie. This baby means so much to us as it came at a time when I was having a bad time and this baby gave me hope and I'm sure, made Channie feel reassured about our future.

We've been so excited, we've already decorated the nursery and I'll probably post about that soon, but it's gorgeous since Channie made all the furniture and decorations himself. He's been working hard to make everything perfect and it's very very cute hehe. I also designed and painted the feature wall which was exciting hehe! Pregnancy symptoms have been a bit worse than I thought but not as bad they could be so I consider myself lucky.

So yeah! Baby beanie will join us sometime in late June and we're beyond happy about it!
