“He wouldn’t. I messed it up.” He said honestly. The look he gave her was uncertain at first before shaking his head. “I have no right to be. I’ve never seen as happy as he is with you. And you actually smile when he’s around.” He gave her a small smile. “No.” He finally answered honestly. “I’m not attached, but he’s apart of this team and apart of your life. The conversation needed to happen to clear any negative feelings in the air.” 

Natasha watched his body language, the spy took small steps closer as he spoke. “I respect it. You of all people know I’m not the dating type.” She didn’t consider Wes that at all, a boyfriend was so juvenal. “You are though. I know you have to really see a future to get close. Don’t feel bad if there’s anything else.”

“You know you can call me Phil outside of the office.” He teased, pouring his drink as he turned his attention back to the other two. Clint walked out the room, making Phil look at the woman. “He just cares about you.” 

Her eyes flicked up from her drink to his. She wished the alcohol had more of an effect, but she’d have to drink a lot more for that. “I know he does.” Tasha gave Phil a soft smile.
