i know why joscarl is a popular ship and that "they're both adults, therefore it's "fine"", but there's something really uncomfortable with the fact that aesop is 21 and joseph is literally older than his parents. doesn't help that joseph is stated to "appear 17", so wouldn't it look weird if someone said to appear like a minor is dating someone who looks physically older? not to mention, it feels. gross considering how aesop was groomed as a child into becoming an embalmer

really, it's almost similar to alvaluca, another uncomfortable ship... i think the idv fandom has an issue with "everyone is an adult, so the massive age gap doesn't matter". while some older ships were "popular" (like emily/emma) back then, that doesn't mean that it's still "fine" to ship them

i wish people weren't so toxic to others. i should've expected it going into a multiplayer game with communication, but i just wish people would just keep their mouths shut when they're upset

because i didn't come to play a game where someone who was much levels higher than me call me "mentally deficient" instead of saying things like "here's tip to how you counter the hunter"

i know the danganronpa collab happened years ago, but as a former fan of the franchise, i am admittedly quite disappointed with half of the choices, specifically for the third collab. don’t get me wrong, kaede and shuichi being chosen for alice and orpheus were hands down the best decisions ever made (especially considering the parallels between them), and kokichi going to mike was expected. miu was a surprise, but somewhat makes sense with anne considering how miu makes inventions like the way anne makes toys

but i must admit, i was sorely disappointed with the decision with rantaro. he’s an alright character, more complex than we realize considering how long he lives for anyways, but i’m not really a fan of the choice with him going to luca. i understand the reasons behind it, but really, i think he should’ve gone to kurt due to rantaro being the ultimate adventurer and kurt being the explorer. it’s not really a spoiler at this point, and besides, they’ve added massive spoilers in past collabs. i think kurt’s ability to finding password pages would’ve gone well with rantaro as his whole reason for being the ultimate adventurer was to find his missing sisters

but also, instead of kokichi or rantaro (or even miu but gender ratio here), i would’ve really preferred kiibo as he considered to be a part of the main protags of v3. iirc charles wasn’t released around the time, but i think kiibo as a collab skin would’ve been a fantastic choice for him. when charles flies, he should be able to transform into kiibo’s other form, similar to hajime as norton transforming into other characters (which again, major spoilers)

i hope in the future, idv might consider adding other popular danganronpa characters as a fun fourth collab, but that’s highly unlikely. a long confession here, which i appreciate everyone taking the time to read

I think it’s upsetting that Alice still has no Perm Essence A Tier, but yet Wendy who just came out is already getting one is in Season 37 Essence 1

Don’t get me wrong, the essence is absolutely beautiful imi, and I’m glad to see Feaster getting another skin since Krampus but we did NOT need Wendy getting an A Tier already when we’re still waiting for our protagonist!!

I think it would’ve been cute to see Alice get a matching skin with Memory in Season 37 Essence 1 since they’re the ID Switch for each other 💔

Just completely out of the blue but I feel like Wendy and Florian could actually be good friends.

I don't really know why. I just feel like they'd be a duo. Wendy's more serious, but not completely I think. She put a weathervane on her headband for dang's sake you've got to be just a little crazy to do that. She's just used to having to act professional to be listened to at all. It would take time for her to...warm up to Florian heheh, but I feel like they would click eventually. I think she's very calm and collected, but at heart a passionate idealist and optimist, which allows her craziness to flourish. It's just beneath a calm, unaffected exterior since she had to act normal about her deepest passions. I think she'd grow to like Florian's unbound chaos.

Maybe it's because I think both would also get along well with Luca (they'd burn down a kitchen together trying to cook)

I've had a headcanon in my mind for a bit...and it's still underdeveloped, but it's been gnawing at my head. I started writing it out as a short fic, but never finished.

Florian's likes and dislikes were confirmed a bit ago, I forget exactly when and how, and one of his dislikes was "hypocritical liars."

And it kinda got me thinking...sounds a bit odd, huh? That someone who acts like a hero, but puts people in danger, or sees fire as a way to hide evidence of the truth, would fit that very description.

And what if he means it? Every word, when he says that?

The thought eats him alive, that he's not what everyone thinks he is. He's not the "miracle child" or any other label or identity he's clung to for most of his life. He is exactly what he hates, but it's the only way he can keep a connection to his family. It's the only thing that binds him to the past he misses so much.

Not to say it wouldn't be just as interesting to see him completely oblivious to his own hypocrisy, but it's interesting to think about for him. I'm excited to see which way they take his character when we get more of his lore.
