A sketch of Yueyang Tower in the style of Song Dynasty through an imagination according to some tradional paintings and the discription from the article On Yueyang Tower by Fan Zhongyan. Yueyang Tower had been rebuilt several times in the history of thousands of years. The latest one was built in 1990s in a style of Qing Dynasty. Generally speaking, the tower built in Song Dynasty was recoginezd as the most beautiful one around the towers built in different dynasties. That's why I tend to draw the Yueyang tower in Song Dynasty. 零星動筆，時以年計推敲一下范文正公筆下，于半年前完成了滕子京版的岳陽樓。 是日之物喜：其實畫完最後一筆時，也想題跋個什麼東西，不過手腕已經年未癒，懸針不虛已經是艱難不已，屈金斷玉更是遙不可及，留下空白怕也不是最壞的了。 當時之己悲：做了個不著邊際的夢，起點是崇禎年間，大地圖炮董其昌先生引了个路，叫我去找找夏珪和馬遠，南渡遺風或許能給我一點共鳴，然後搖搖頭說“這樣畫畫是沒有靈魂的。”半邊一角兩位大師帶我逛了南北兩院後說“你再往前找找大小李將軍。”見到他們我就說“董先生說我畫畫沒靈魂，你們兹瓷不兹瓷啊？”小李說：“誒～先不要早下結論，先看看對面的王摩詰。”扭頭一看，我就怔住了“右丞大人竟也用青綠工筆之藝？”王維“噌”的就正襟和我說道：“我說你們啊，還是圖樣了，我可沒打算千篇一律啊，我仔仔細細經營的輞川別業還是經得起細節展現的，傳世之作沒有什麼不能跨越千秋，早你一千年的宣和畫院張待詔在《清明上河圖》中用的是你那個時代流行的技法，你再往前看前朝的展子虔…”“樓閣表現的出現，比我的時代還早。”展子虔接過話茬兒。這是眾人紛紛讓道，顧愷之緩緩捲起了《洛神賦圖》，淡淡說道：“建築好畫啊，就是很難起形，一旦形起好了，畫好不難，後面的完形都是死理，想太多就會崩壞。”（原話是：“凡畫，人最難，次山水，次狗馬，臺榭一定器耳，難成而易好，不待遷想妙得也。”——《畫論》顧愷之）我：“…” #sketch #architecture #chinesetemple #chinesearchitecture https://www.instagram.com/p/CCq0CLtAPOz/?igshid=1mwevjeb4p123
