omg I was supposed to place my writing here but I guess I first posted my rants of a webnovel hahaha.

I've been reading webnovels these days, only to get so frustrated with one novel that I've continued reading despite how it stressed me out.

This one webnovel I found was recently translated and the first chapters were good! I immediately read it with my meager skills from d*olingo and machine translation. Reading on, I never thought that there were a lot of unnecessary information of spliced research articles. It felt like I was speedreading on jstor.

What frustrated me more was the discrepancies on the information written bh the author. I kept reminding myself that this was just a science FICTION but it stressed me out so much that I had to stop reading multiple times. I have a background on some stuff that I could understand the things the author took from the internet for the lengthy explanations and it seems she got too technical but inaccurate on some things. After calming myself down by reading a short story, I went back to reading that webnovel and just laughed at the errors. This continued on for 50 chapters until the infodump was dropped and the story picked itself up again. There was potential in the story but the author focused too much on the small details and placed a lot of research articles! They could have ommitted it but probably placed it in to reach the word count of a chapter. Ugh.

I finished the novel and the ending was okay. This novel made me have mixed feelings (probably love-hate) but mostly just disappointment.
