Uhhhh is there possibly a way to name saves? I have a save for the Grayson route and the Gralex route and I can't tell them apart because literally everything about them is the same (stats and everything) except the route 🧍‍♀️

Also I have little teensy weensy asks both pertaining to and not pertaining to MM!

2. You might've answered this already, and I'm sorry if you have!! Anywho, what are the RO's/Gralex route fav cuddling positions? I can imagine my tall ass MC acting as pretty much a human blanket to any of them lol.

3. Have Alex or Grayson (ya know, working in rather public environments/situations) ever dealt with anyone they genuinely thought was MC at first glance? I work in an ICU, and it genuinely catches me off guard sometimes if I see someone that's like a doppelganger or looks really similar to someone I know.

im gonna be honest team, ive only touched the saves coding once and that was to change the colour and the font and it got so messed up ive been scared to go back. so... ill have to get back to you on that.

1. vacation was awesome. too short tho. on my first flight home i was surrounded by crying babies. in my layover in dubai i was being stalked by crying babies. i was followed onto my connecting flight by crying babies. but it was sunny when i reached the motherland and that really just makes life worth living again.

2. grayson needs to be wrapped around you entirely like he is a koala and you are a very huggable tree. kennedy likes to spoon for five minutes before it's time to go to sleep, after she needs her space and she will build pillow wall if she has to. alex is happy any position until they fall asleep and then theyre gonna starfish out, not caring who's in the way and who's getting an elbow to the face. the dynamics do not change with gralex, though you might want to upgrade to a king size bed.

3. id definitely say it happens, maybe not often, but sometimes sure. once upon a time I wrote a very short drabble about grayson having to ID a dead body thought to be the mc and it went about as well as you'd expect. i think alex would handle it a lot better than gray depending on the resemblance but its never easy for sure.

Re the tumblr thing: Short version is that a lot of the old staff got laid off, and so people are speculating that if all the people who used to work for tumblr are gone then the site will disappear with them.

Especially since I think it's at least half confirmed that tumblr might now be on a skeleton crew, ie things are much slower and only kept up but not maintained as a priority. Worry? No one's really certain. But it's still a good idea to back up your blog, make sure you have a second line of contact with the people you absolutely do not want to lose contact with, and optionally a second source for people who follow you to find you. But no alarm bells yet, because this is at least the fourth time we've heard this same thing in the last two years and people love to sound the alarm (understandable since lots of us only have contact with people here).

Your arms dangle uselessly at your sides as your shift your weight between your feet. When did this become so difficult? The two of them look at you as if only just remembering your presence. Shin sets his phone aside and gives you his undivided attention, hands clasps together and pressed to his mouth as he appraises you from head to toe. "It's not slutty enough," he finally concludes after several beats of silence and you feel as though your eyes might pop right out of your head as you gape at him. Callie snorts out a bout of laughter that they try and fail to conceal.

this scene is in the "hang out with callie and their best friend and let them dress you up for a rave" route. the horrors follow afterward.

this was wild to read from start to finish and honestly im obsessed

i had a dream that my MC from this game got Mirror-Mine'd (it's another i.f., @if-mirrormine) except went missing for waaaayyyy longer

like it went: MC got to live past Scapegoated's plot and be in one more movie after to completion, and then just kinda.. blipped. and then came back into the world, as if nothing had happened, MC is still in their early 20s, but she looks up and she's now in 2024. she was a missing person's case, a True Crime podcast's favorite subject, they already threw her a funeral, the rights to her music and image and royalties and house and all their possessions have been divided up, her bank account is well defunct by now, her friends that'd been her 20-something age back in the 70s are now all in THEIR 70s as a whole 50-something hears have past or otherwise are fucking dead

and the dream, for whatever reason, focused on her being interviewed by Stephen Colbert. who, apparently, i remember vividly said in my dream "You were always my answer to the question 'if you could have dinner with someone, living or dead'."

and also the US Government was trying to get involved in an E.T. movie way, so the MC was on the tv to announce that they were moving to France and if anything happened to them before then or on the way or someone tried to frame shit as a suicide: it wasnt an accident. something like that

and also the person's face kept shifting bc i guess my brain couldnt decide on who it was, but it was generally either Vince or Penn out of all the ROs (but Shiloh and Leon were thrown in too?), had aged like fine wine and had never re-married or dated after the MC went missing, and was waiting backstage, watching the interview, with their own luggage packed too. i hope they both landed safely, i woke up before they got on the plane. bc the dream stayed on/off at the Colbert interview with? flashbacks?? idk what the other stuff was. but i hope the happy couple made it out of the USA okay

(idk why France of all places would be the move to go to. im obsessed with Eartha Kitt, and she had escape the US government blacklisting her by moving to France for a long time, so i think thats where that came from?)

also i remember Colbert showing the MC all these memes about her re-appearance, but the only one i remember vaguely was about "i dont support celebrities with massive age-gaps. it's weird and creepy/but what about MC and [the being that embodied all ROs and then some at once]'s 50 year age-gap???/tHAT DOESN'T COUNT, IT WASNT THEIR FAULT THEY DEVELOPED AN AGE-GAP, THEYRE SOULMATES ACROSS SPACE AND TIME WHO ARE FINALLY REUNITED BY THE WHIMS OF FATE" and similar type of stuff of people who didnt know anything about the 70s getting obsessed with the MC's lore bc of this time-warp fuckery that Might As Well Happen, might as well be invested in this, like people doing a tiktok trend of "me before i started reading about what happened to this MC person that's in the news now: 😋✌️/me after: 😢💀 mC, MY SHAAYLAAAA"

also the MC was asked about what was their favorite stuff to learn that'd happened since they went missing, like any movie or music, and MC was like "Probably that people like me now?" (icon). also the MC talked about one of "the most horrific things" they had learned: and lectured their generation for being hypocrites and not standing by the principles they had in the 70s (aka: bigots and people who had been disingenuous, like they parroted "Free love" back then and now hated queer people, or protested that there was never any reason for war then yet now supported Isreal), and that the person they were in the 70s would hate and rally protests against the person they had become. that "the only good ones still left from back then, either are now too weak to help rally major change sustainably or had been amongst those whose funerals I missed. I don't understand why the spiteful are the only ones who made it out unscathed and are still full of energy from back then". Colbert was so charmed the whole time, he didnt mind an angry speech featured mid-interview, he was having a great time meeting his idol and she was not disappointing him

idk, man, it was a very disorienting dream. im just telling you the parts that made narrative sense (i think?? i think the MC killed Ronald Reagan? i donT FUCKING KNOW)

today while at work i kept getting random bursts of inspiration for dialogue and certain scenes so i wrote down what i could on some scrap paper, shoved it in the pockets of my work jacket before continuing with what i was supposed to be doing, telling myself not to forget to take the notes home with me.

can you guess who got hot and took off their jacket, putting it in their locker, completely out of sight and mind? can you guess who forgot the notes? can you guess??🙃

Which one of the ROs look the oldest? I’m just obsessed with how funny it is that from an outside POV there’s a 10 year old age gap. Also it’s also good for angst reasons because it feeds the “I’m different in so so many ways and you’re still the same…” tragedy which I love hihi. Would the ROs ever feel uncomfortable or self-conscious about the age gap? bc irl if a 30+ tell me they’re dating someone 10 years younger than them I react more often negatively than positively. 🌷

grayson by far looks the oldest. i mean the man hasn't had a good night's sleep in 10 years, that does things to a person. i would also say he's got some grey in his hair... look at danny gonzalez if you want a good visual.

i would also say alex looks the youngest in comparison. they're one of those people that eat what they want, barely do skin care and it will have ZERO affect on their appearance. bastard.

in terms of the ro's feeling self conscious... *prods the sad man with a stick*. let's be real, grayson already doesn't see himself as attractive, to him the mc has always been so far out of his league it's pointless to even dream (though that can and will not stop him), now you add the age thing on top of that? gray will have the worst case of imposter syndrome anyone in the history of ever has had.

kennedy knows that technically there is no age gap, or at least not one so big, so it doesn't bother her. it wouldn't even cross her mind unless someone brought it up and even then she'd go "okay and?".

the lights are down, the curtains are drawn, the bag of popcorn lays empty and discarded on the floor. charlotte stares at the television, her mouth agape as the credits roll. she turns to grayson, who sits beside her watching her reaction, amused.

"that's it?" she asks, incredulous as she looks frantically between her best friend and the screen. "han solo's just dead now?"

he nods sadly and reaches over to hold her hand. "i'm afraid so. but it's not over yet; we still have two more movies."

she throws herself across the couch, dramatically covering her face with her arm. "we didn't even get to see luke," she whines.

grayson tries to stifle his growing smile as he pulls her back towards him, where she falls limp in his lap, her face still covered. "it'll all be worth it when you see baby yoda."

finally she removes her arm, squinting up at him suspiciously. "baby what?"

"you'll see," he laughs before gently shaking her in an attempt to get up. "come on, charley; i'll go make more popcorn."

"no," she replies, indignant. "i'm too comfy."

his eyebrows shoot up in surprise, a faint blush creeping up the back of his neck that he's all too thankful she can't see in the dark. "r-really? I can move, if you want -"

"don't even think about it, gronk." she shuffles back, climbing further into his lap and he instinctively wraps his arms around her to keep her steady. "much better," she grins at him, her own arms looping around his neck. "you're okay with me being here, right?"

grayson chews on his bottom lip, his teeth digging into the skin so hard he thinks for a moment it'll split, but he can't force the words out of his mouth no matter how hard he tries. so he settles for a nod, blue eyes wide and entranced by his best friend who smiles oh so sweetly at him.

"so, tell me," she starts, a decisive tone to her voice that has grayson raising an eyebrow. "what else have I missed?"

he breathes out a laugh. "i wanna say a lot."

"give me specifics," she insists.

he tilts his head back to rest on the couch cushions, taking a deep breath as he thinks. "well, there's the last harry potter movie, breaking bad ended, so did game of thrones -"

charlotte scrunches up her face. "when did game of thrones begin?"

"oh, must've been after you disappeared." a deep frown morphs on his face and she can almost see the last ten years playing on repeat in his mind before he shakes his head. "it's not worth watching anyway, the last two seasons were really disappointing."

"what else?" she asks, eager for more.

"you missed me missing you," he says, a sweet smile curling at his lips.

she rolls her eyes good naturedly and swats at his arm. "be serious, gray."

again he frowns. "i thought i was but alright." he takes another second to think before his face lights up again. "oh, you were featured on this Internet true crime show. to this day, it's still their most popular episode."

her eyebrows shoot upward in surprise. "really? why?"

"well, it's interesting for starters," he shrugs. "plus why wouldn't you be? you're very easy to love."

she blinks, his words repeating in her head before their meaning finally sinks and she smiles shyly at him. "easy to love, huh?" She repeats and he nods. "are you speaking from experience?"

he falters, his mouth opening and closing several times but no words come. finally he sighs, resigned, giving her a faint smile of her own. "i am," he tells her and she feels butterflies bloom in her stomach.

"and if i said i felt the same about you?" she asks, holding her breath.

"then i'd ask if i could kiss you."

she stares at him wide eyed, surprised by his confidence despite the bright red blush covering his cheeks, and she blinks at him again, her mind slow to process what's happening before she grins at him.

"i'd say yes," she tells him and he returns her smile. slowly he leans in, one hand raised to cup her face, and softly presses his lips to hers.

she sighs happily, her eyes slipping closed and she pulls him closer, her fingers tangling in his hair. rhe kiss is gentle and sweet, full of the love shared between them and charlotte feels the butterflies go into overdrive.

eventually he pulls back, resting his forehead against hers and she slowly pulls her eyes open to find him watching her. her breath catches in her throat at the warmth in his bright blue eyes, bluer than the sky on a clear summer's day, and her mouth falls open, the first words that come to mind rolling off her tongue before she can stop them.

"so, tell me more about this baby yoda character," she says softly and he throws his head back to laugh, the action shaking her in his lap and causing her to join in with a laugh of her own.

"let's finish the movies first," he tells her when the laughter dies down, though he still wears an amused smile. "then i'll tell you everything you need to know."

she nods, nestling closer and resting her head against his chest as he queues up the next movie. she feels him press a soft kiss to her temple, comforted by the steady thumping of his heart and for the first time since she's come back, she feels as though she's exactly where she's supposed to be.

just played the demo on itch and i really liked it. loved the story, characters and im excited what will happen in the future.

i have one question:

on the itch.io page it says, that the last update was on the 16.June 2024. that lead to my question: is the itch-demo the most up to date one or is there a "newer"one on another website/supporter only? the demo i played ended right after MC´s father appears; and after reading a bit here on tumblr i came across the name of jesse, which (unless i missed it) never appeared or was even mentioned.

please dont take it the wrong way, if you take your time, thats fine. normally i wouldnt even ask this, since you are obviously still active, but the fact that some talking about someone, who i didnt encounter in the demo, left me a bit confused.

also a small bug: when clicking on "full body tattoo", the game assumes, that you clicked on "full sleeved tattoo" and continues as if you clicked on it. if you then click on the "full body tattoo"-option again, nothing happens/changes.
