ReShade 3.4.1 preset

*as always all credit goes to @pictureamoebae​ for an amazing and extensive tutorials I abused to the very last letter

So… basically, this is a very old preset (link link) but it got serious remodeling because I got tired of Photoshop and decided to make a preset for myself that would allow me to not use PS.

Saves in PNG file. Don’t forget to change the save path.

DOWNLOAD - 9.1MB (zip file contains the preset itself, and shaders, and textures you need. If you already have them, great, if not, I suggest you back up your reshade-shaders folder and add the shaders you’re missing - quint_common.fxh file is absolutely necessary for QUINT shaders to work.

New way to find *exact* package file causing errors!

I hope you are excited as me about this.

First a plug: I create maxis-match style cc, specializing in modular/customizable furniture. Find my stuff on my tumbler, instagram or in my subreddit r/ravasheen I post WIP and take requests/incorporate feedback etc!!

Now onto how to find broken cc… I think this should eliminate the 50/50 method in most cases! I extensively use sims 4 studio (S4S) to create my cc. I have known there were cheats you could use in it, but not all of them so I requested a list from the admins. As of the latest release (1/27/2020) you can now use the cheat ‘help’ which displays a list of all the available cheats in S4S. There are lots in here, but there is one cheat you can use to debug your cc:

resource.find:

Locates the package containing a particular instance id in the Mods folder. ex. “resource.find 123456789”. Can be useful when a lastException.txt contains a resource instance of a piece of broken content.

So how this would work is you would take your lastexception file spit out by the game and use https://lastexception.com/ to spit out what the errors are. You should get a resource number (or multiple) from this.

Open up sims 4 studio (ensure it is the latest version) and hit ctrl+shift+c, just like in sims, to pop up the cheat command window. Enter ’resource.find [enter resource number here]’ and it will tell you what package file it is.

Mind blown. This is a game changer for sure! One note, I don’t use mods like MCCC or anything so I am not sure if this works on broken mods. But it should at the very least work on cc.

For other cc creators out there… the cheat ‘help’ lists all available cheats you can use in s4s. Most of them are geared towards creating cc.

Tab & Live Mode Camera Mod

I was having a bit of a problem with the previous versions of this mode due to it being near 5 years old. It was causing sims to slightly disappear from the chest up from what I assume was a glitch related to the FPS controls. So I fixed it!

This original mod was created by Buckley and was later updated to a newer version by Szielins. It works exactly the same, I simply up-updated to work correctly with the new camera controls introduced with the FPS (First Person) update. Like other game altering mods, these package files should only be directly in your mods folder, or ONE folder deep. Let me know if there are any problems!!!!

Most recent update:  ( 12/12/2019 )  1.59.73.1020 (Though it should work with any new updates as long as they do not change anything with the camera.)

Dreamy Sunsets: A Reshade Preset [for 3.3.2.290]

about:

so i sort of wanted a reshade that has lots of fiddly bits that will practically do my editing for me cause im a lazy b*nch! i tried my hardest to make it “dreamy” and “girly”. i took huge inspiration from @glitchysims and @nookstones‘s psds! so thank you for that <3

this picture was taken on a sunny day in summer, early in the morning. so your pics may vary depending on the season, weather and time. but hopefully it will compliment them all! oh and btw, yes the border is included and not edited on!

this reshade is able to be used with gameplay depending on your pc! if you want to use it with gameplay, please make sure to turn off all the extra effects so your game will run smoothly.

hotkeys:

- depth of field - caps lock

- mxao - 9

- cartoon effect - shift + 1

- ambient light - L

- levels - shift + L

- magic bloom - B

- border - shift + B

- sharpen - shift + S

- there are also more in depth options that you can mess about with and toggle on and off for more experiences users. press shift + F2 to access them

important:

- this is not a mod!!! do not put it in your mods folder!!!

- preset goes in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin folder!

- you need reshade for this to work!! download the latest version here!

- a reshade installation guide can be found here!

- if you have a reshade that is an older version and you don’t want to update it, and your depth of field of mxao doesn’t work, follow this tutorial to fix it!

HAZY DAYS AND BLUEBERRYADE – a ReShade preset by amoebae

I caved under pressure and bring you the ReShade preset I’ve been using for a while now. This will not enhance your gameplay. This has been created for screenshots.

98% of you will not like it.

Of the 2% who do, 96% of you will hate the fog effect.

Of the remaining whateverpercent, 87% of you will be annoyed with the work it takes to use.

103% of you will think I’m a terrible person.

I make no apologies for its awkwardness – I created this in conjunction with my high tolerance for Doing What It Takes To Get The Shot.

I will provide what support I can, but because of the preset’s hands-on approach I recommend at least a cursory understanding of ReShade (preferably version 3.0) to avoid frustration. Any general ReShade questions I can’t answer can be researched over at the ReShade forum. Please check my ReShade FAQ tag because it’s incredibly likely I’ve answered your question before (unless directly related to HDaB effects).

Included in the download are:

PRESET INFORMATION 

𝄖  Preset is for Reshade version 3.0.8, you can find here and an installation guidehere. 𝄖  In order to use the background blur disable edge smoothing, please! I’ve created two options for Bokeh lookin’ backgrounds: MartyMcFly DOF and Matso DOF. 𝄖  Blur focus is controlled with your mouse! 𝄖  In tab mode the MXAO decreases significantly so you’ll see it’s harsh in live mode but don’t worry! It will look subtle and more cohesive in tab mode.

I can’t be the only person out there with more skin detail and tattoo CC than sense, right? And given the lack of filtering on those two categories, it becomes a total nightmare to navigate and work out if you can use this overlay with that set of freckles… what about this body hair with these tattoos? It’s the worst.

So I made these! They won’t do anything to your sim when you put them on - that’s not what they’re for. They work more like labels! These items will always show at the very beginning of each sub-category, even above any items added by EA. That way, you can tell at a glance what slot a given tattoo or skin detail will take up when you put it on your sim… which means no more guesswork when you’re layering them up!

ADF.LY BYPASS TUTORIAL

So I’m probably going to get some heat for this but that’s okay. I am against adf.ly being used at all but in regards to my CC especially. I’m not mad at anyone who uses it, I still love and appreciate you and the work that you do! ☼ But I think that it’s time to find an alternative. 

So here is a little tutorial on how to bypass the new adf.ly page that pops up now after the initial page. It comes up after the chrome extension skips the ad but cannot be skipped by that alone. So with these simple steps you can bypass the whole shebang and hopefully avoid a debilitating virus! :)

Also, any editing of my CC that I find behind adf.ly links will be put on my website under the photos of the image as a direct link to the file sharing service.

Patch Updates 1.52.100.1020

The following Mods needed an Update for the Island Living EP Patch. As always delete old Files & delete the localthumbcache after updating. If you download via SFS make sure to check the Date of the Files to see if they are indeed the updated Versions or download from Google Drive!
