the first time jimin laid his heart out bare for jungkook, jungkook didn’t want it. wasn’t interested in jimin as much as the elder held a torch for jungkook. as gentle as jungkook had been in rejecting jimin, the elder couldn’t help but feel his heart twisting in his chest in both sadness and embarrassment. 

after the two have grown up considerably and are meeting up once in a while, jimin confesses that he still thinks jungkook is remarkably handsome (and will always be) in his eyes. by accident. and this time, jungkook is the one to ask jimin out.

2020 FESTA IS STARTING!!

The teaser video for this year's FESTA was posted:

Photos were shared too, accompanied with the message "Here is my secret."

Many ARMYs (Cr twt taegukkei) realized that this year's FESTA might be inspired by "The Little Prince." The little plane in the video and the caption of the photo just straighten this theory.

This year marks the 77th anniversary of "The little Prince" (Published on 1943).

The video shows 7 layers of might represent the sea and the desert. The desert blooms later flowers. It is like the impossible because possible. The layering of these two worlds also shows how everytime they leave a desert and think they found a sea, another desert appearts and so on. There are also more seas than deserts and a journey that starts with hope of a sea ends with a sea.

Still remember the looks jimin was giving Tae in Malta when he went to sing. The part where he's filming Tae screams the "is that allowed" and "is it that serious" memes. (he kinda really looked like he had an epiphany there but idk) Well well Bv3, I ain't getting over it. I wonder what they thought of it when it did air. Why do I think that trip and (the reaction of fans after) sorta eased their dynamic even more on cam to what it is currently?🤔 Maybe?

Yeah, Malta Vmin was really something wasn’t it? Honestly I think Bon Voyage are some of the best times to look at Vmin to see the strange things in their behavior and out of the three seasons Malta is probably the most interesting one to analyze. Mostly because Taehyung being gone and then coming while still clearly being very sad showed us a few things.

1. Jimin missed Taehyung a lot and he thought about him a lot while he was gone. Even complaining during his time with Jungkook because he couldn’t check on the video Tae sent him because of bad connection.

2. Jimin sent multiple things and Taehyung sent things back. As usual it seems they communicate a lot when they are apart.

3. Jimin had to physically touch Taehyung when he came, seemingly unable to hold back. I know Jimin is clingy, but that really stuck out to me.

4. The staff and the members knew to let Vmin be paired up, two times in a row because they would likely want to spend time together.

5. We got to see Jimin comfort sad Taehyung, and once again staff knew they should call Jimin when they saw Tae was sad. Hobi also looks a bit uncomfortable, like a third wheel unsure what to do.

6. Vmin were extremely touchy and almost oddly romantic with their dates. Having Jimin leading Tae with his eyes closed or the singing as you mention etc.

7. Jimin wanted to show Tae everything, even doing things again because he wanted to do them with Taehyung.

8. Taehyung and Jimin clearly wanted to share a room. Again, not liking being apart for so long seems to get to them.

9. Domestic Vmin showed up. Jimin is Taehyung’s number 1 supporter, in all ways! Also Tae being attentive and sweet to Jimin like when he bought the needle and thread or removed his face mask when sleeping.

10. We also heard again how they want to travel together or go out and do things together. Confirming they want to and do spend time outside of work even if we never get to see it.

I could go on, but I can’t make a full BV3 analysis here, it’s just too much to look at. I personally don’t think Vmin’s relationship in itself changed during or because of their time in Malta. I think we as viewers just got a deeper insight into how they usually are. I think the fact that they had been apart and the fact that it was due to sad circumstances they were allowed to be together more and they probably also couldn’t hold back as much as they can under normal circumstances. Compare it to BV1 for example where they also showed clingy behavior but not at all to the same extent where it especially from Jimin’s side seemed like he was unable to stay away from Tae.

To me it also seemed like they were a bit awkward with being filmed some times, which again I think is part of their uncertainty of what is ok or not or simply having to watch what they say a lot more closely.

It’s funny that we have video of Vmin watching BV3 together, and I really think Vmin monitor themselves quite a lot, as well as each other’s vlives. So I think they are very aware of the things they said and did, as well as fan’s reactions to it. And it’s possible that after BV3 where they did a loooot of things, like holding hands for example, made it easier for them to do it at other times as well. I think when they realize fans just categorize things as “vmin things” or “best friend goals” it’s good for them because they obviously get away with a lot more than other members would. It’s kind of interesting how people keep ignoring all the PDA Vmin shows us. Though I think BV3 was actually a huge eye-opener to many fans starting to like Vmin is a romantic way as well.

The serenading was also a great moment of course and even thought I don’t believe in using the term heart-eyes for analysis Jimin was surely giving us some strong ones in that moment.

Anyways, it will be a long time before I get over Vmin in Malta that’s for sure. Thank you for the ask. :)

Would BigHit really allow Jikook/KM to be so open about their relationship through the GCF films as they appear, wouldn’t they want to hide it in fear of negative exposure?

This is the question that I have seen on numerous KM blogs and it has been the one big thing that has kept me from fully believing in the true intention of the GCF films in regard to KM. But now I think I have figured it all out with the help of my older sister. For starters, I value my sister’s opinions on everything because she’s in her 30’s, a NYC court reporter, has travelled to amazing places, and is far wiser than I could ever hope to be, so what she says comes from a place of intelligence and experience. I really wanted her opinion on the latest “GCF teaser” and the GCF films in general to see what she had to say about them. First off, after viewing GCFT she laughed at me asking why I was looking into it too much because it was obvious to her that the film was coming from a place more than just friendship (the rainbow ferris wheel part stuck out to her). So, the next question I asked her was why would Big Hit allow a possible homosexual couple to expose themselves in a homophobic country such as SK?

 Her answer:

“Easy it’s all about publicity. It doesn’t matter if it’s good or bad publicity, it’s still publicity. You have to understand that cultural values/views go out the window when it comes to money and personal gain. Money trumps everything. Big Hit is mostly concerned with marketing their group and gaining revenue. They’ve been testing and experimenting where the best forms of revenue generate from and that is through social media engagement. If Big Hit continues this exponential growth in revenue from sources such as free advertising from social media, then their investors will take note of this success and how they handle it for when they go public. Do internet platforms go crazy when a GCF film is released?

My advice to people, but especially kids, who are invested in celebrities, be they actors, musicians, bloggers, youtubers, authors, whatever, is to keep your distance. No matter how happy their content makes you, no matter how strong the pull of a special interest/hyperfixation/obsession might be, it’s important to step back every so often.

Do you find yourself following them on all forms of social media? Do you follow their friends and family, who might not even make content themselves? Do you research their lives? Step back. Just because they are famous doesn’t mean it’s okay to engage in stalking behavior.

Do you find yourself getting anxious if you miss a video, or they upload off schedule? Step back. I know they can help you through dark times but you can’t rely on them all the time.

Would you be devastated if they turned out to be a not-so-nice person? Step back. You can only trust them as much as you trust any stranger. Don’t see yourself up to be shattered if they fall off that pedestal you put them on.

No matter how much somebody interacts with their audience, the relationship is still parasocial. Just keep that in mind. Don’t put all your trust in a stranger. It’s okay to enjoy these people and their content, but keep your distance and step back.

DISCLAIMER: I’m not hating on people who believe this, I’m just explaining my position and alternatives

The idea that JM and JK have been together for 6 years and are married is….a lot to say the least. I don’t know their relationship but if I’m going by the logic in their actions I wouldn’t at all think this. I feel like I’m the rare person who thinks they’re probably actually together but not like married or something lol

“Gay wedding rings”, a trip to Tokyo Disney, and a shady reaction to “Laguna” isn’t really a confirmation. Let me explain.

Gay “Wedding” Rings

It definitely looks like they have worn those same rings from that infamous Google search, but let me offer a few alternative explanations that’s just as plausible if not more than the idea of them being married to each other:

It’s jewelry their stylists assigned for them without much regard to the styles. Celebrities wear stuff all the time that their stylists handpick for them without the stylist or the celebrity really understanding the symbology behind it–this is evident from the fact that so many idols wear clothes and accessories with curse words in different languages on them or other profane/inappropriate sayings/symbols on them

They bought them together, but instead of an engagement ring, it’s a promise ring for each other or holds some other kind of symbolism

I’m personally more inclined to believe #2 and really think that the symbolism behind those rings is nothing close to “we’re engaged” and is more so something representing progress in their personal relationship (relationship in this context not necessarily being romantic but just a relation between two people). Obviously, I think it could have romantic implications, just not marriage lol

Tokyo Disney/GCF in Tokyo

I am pretty much going with conventional sentiment here that this video has a romantic undertone. I do think it was more so made for Jimin than for the fans about Tokyo. I also think that they seemed to get even closer from this point on. However, I don’t think this was their “honeymoon” or “wedding”. Actually, I think this has a few alternative explanations that could each be plausible:

This was simply a birthday gift for Jimin where they just had fun together and took a rest since this was actually their vacation time. JK made GCF in Tokyo with the intention of documenting mostly Tokyo but found Jimin to be a more engaging subject

This was a birthday trip but also where JK may have made his romantic feelings for Jimin known. JK made GCF in Tokyo with the intention of documenting Jimin as a ‘love letter’ of sorts

This is when they decided they’d pursue something more serious other than just flirting around. JK had the intention of expressing this through GCF in Tokyo, hence his strategic song choice

This was just a fun birthday trip but with the addition that it unexpectedly brought them closer romantically, which is what compelled JK to create GCF in Tokyo

I am more inclined to believe #4. I think that if it is the case they have romantic feelings for each other (which, it seems that way IMO), then it’s more plausible that the trip just brought it out even more, to a further degree and JK started to become more serious about his feelings. It would explain the song choice for that video better than “they got married/honeymooned”. If you just got married why would you want to or even have to remind your partner to “be there for you” the same way you’re there for them? It’s a huge part of the song and would seem like a huge red flag in a new relationship if your partner isn’t reciprocating those feelings

Laguna

Alright now this is a pretty recent idea that a lot of people have considered. It’s the idea that JK watched a video that was filmed at Laguna Beach for inspiration on GCF Saipan. Because gay couples can legally marry in California (and, consequently, at Laguna Beach), and when RM mentioned going to “Laguna” in an interview Jimin and JK looked at each other and laughed, they must have gotten married at Laguna Beach. 

To me, this is the biggest reach of them all. If they were to have gotten married, not only could Jimin and JK have gotten married at literally any of their other American tour/promotional destinations at that time (seriously–they went to Los Angeles and Las Vegas multiple times but we have no proof they ever even went to Laguna Beach. LA is about an hour away from Laguna Beach and has dozens of its own beaches to get married at if one wishes), but like if they did get married there, where is the proof and when would they have the time? Because I guarantee you there would be. Armies follow them around everywhere, and especially in populous areas like Laguna Beach, which is one of the most popular beach destinations in Southern California… It just doesn’t make sense that no one would have seen this “wedding” and that they’d even have time to have a ceremony given that they’re only ever in one American destination for ~1 week at a time, and most of that time is spent performing, rehearsing, and running the promo circuit. They never go there just to vacation

Also, we have no proof that JK actually even watched that video particularly. I mean, it’s possible but like??? It’s still kind of stretching it given that nearly all beach vlogs have similar aesthetics and techniques. We also don’t know why Jin was laughing in that video. Like, yeah, he could’ve been laughing because he knew they secretly got married there, but he also just could’ve been laughing because laughter is contagious and the two next to him just started laughing out of seemingly nowhere. I look at it this way: if he was laughing because ‘haha that’s where they got married/are planning to get married’ then why did he ask, months later, if they were dating? Even jokingly?

So, with that said, here are some alternative explanations for why Laguna was so funny to them:

JK did watch that video, told Jimin about it, and now they want to go there for vacation either to spend time with each other or because of the potential debauchery that could take place in a tropical destination with tons of sexy people roaming around

They went to Laguna Beach back during AHL and had some memorable moments there

I truly think they do know about Laguna Beach and obviously want to go there (RM actually said this), but I honestly don’t know why it was funny to JM and JK. I will say though that I don’t think it’s funny because ‘haha, joke’s on Namjoon, we’re married’, but because of almost any other reason tbh. The marriage thing just doesn’t hold weight there to me

Now that I’ve said all that, I kind of want to talk about my issue with attaching the word “gay” to everything and how that’s used with Jikook. Maybe that’ll be my next long post…

The Relationship between Jikook & 비게퍼 (part 3/3)

One thing you have to ask yourself is that if Jikook’s interactions are just a part of 비게퍼, why do they not stop at official work? Why do these interactions continue even when they are isolated from Big Hit and fans as well

In fact, to prove this point, here is a list of confirmed activities that Jikook engage in together outside of work:

Going Ice Skating together

Eating at JK’s favorite restaurant together 

Walking around Seoul together

Spending JK’s birthday together w/the only other member there being Hoseok

Having lunch with Jimin’s friends together

Going sight-seeing with Jimin’s friends together

Going on an overseas vacation together

Riding in the same car together

Seeing movies and having dinner together

Hanging out in JK’s room/hotel room/apartment together

Sleeping in Jimin’s room together w/the only other member being there being Hoseok

Seeing the first snow together

Hanging out in general (especially on Valentine’s Day, Chinese Valentine’s Day, and other holidays)

and a whole lot more..

I don’t know…it just seems like a lot to go out of your way to hang out with someone you don’t give a fuck about outside of your 비게퍼 obligations. Especially knowing how JK presents himself. These days it really seems like he’s trying to gain control/authority over everything he does/the moves he makes. I get that there’s a layer of 비게퍼 when they do official activities at times, but that doesn’t mean that everything they do is fake and that it’s impossible for them to have a genuine friendship/relationship/whatever

The idea that everything they do on stage is part of 비게퍼 is a bit ridiculous. Because not only do they hang out outside of work, they also do questionable things off-stage and even what they do on stage can have different interpretations (especially within the context of what they do off-stage)

With this, I think I want to conclude the posts on 비게퍼 for now. I had something else in mind that I wanted to talk about but that one’s an opinion I have and the purpose of these posts was to have a discussion about 비게퍼 that presents another side of it all. I’m not going to definitively state anything on this yet, I just wanted to talk about it, present the other side, and see what others think.

Food for Thought: Were MiniMoni discussing Jungkook?

A lot of the fandom seems to think so. So, let’s talk about it.

TL;DR - Bon Voyage 4 Ep 5 Behind Cam: Someone likes Jimin and Namjoon uses interesting language, making people think the someone is a member

On Episode 5 of Bon Voyage 4 Behind Cam, Namjoon and Jimin can be heard having a conversation around the campfire. According to the captions, the conversation goes like this:

JM: 아니 뭐가 (ahnee mweogah)

NJ: 내가 말했잖아 너 좋아한다니까 (naega malhaejahnah. neo joahandanikka)

JM: 나 사랑하는 거 같아 지금 (na saranghaneun geo gatah jigum)

NJ: 쟤가 너 좋아한다니까 (jaega neo joahandanikka)

Assuming nothing had been misheard, a translation of this conversation goes as follows:

JM: No. What are-

NJ: I told you–[?] likes you.

JM: I think [it’s] love now.

NJ: I’m saying, [?] likes you.

**Note: the question marks are there because we don’t know who NJ’s talking about. 

What most makes this conversation interesting to me is just who are they talking about? The literal translation, not taking context into account, doesn’t really tell us much. But there’s a word that’s used that gives some insight, 쟤가 (jaega). Without the caption, there’s little way to know if Namjoon was saying “제가” (jehga), meaning “I” or “쟤가” meaning “that person.” But, because we have the caption, we know that he’s saying “쟤가”.

In Korean, there’s different types of “that” as well as different types of “that person.” 쟤 is used to describe a person who is near you, but not a superior/someone who deserves high respect. Generally, you would not use this towards sunbaes, ajummas, ajusshis, or anyone you’d refer to using an honorific title. You’d really only use this to refer to someone younger than you, close friends, and/or same-age friends who both you and the listener are close with. Thus, the likelihood that Namjoon is referring to a nearby crew member is minimal. And though it’s more literally “that child who is near me” it’s more similar, contextually, to “him/her (that is next to me).” The “person” in question can be of any gender.

The use of this word is fascinating in this context because it directly implies that they’re talking about someone at the camp set. This can be an off-screen crew member (which, again, is kind of unlikely), or another person on screen. 

But, let’s get to something slightly more interesting. Before I go on, I want to be clear that I’m not trying to say this means anything, I’m merely explaining the language nuance and exploring the options.

Okay, so going back to taking in context. There is additional context in this conversation that shows that Namjoon wasn’t really all the way here for this conversation. He uses the ~ㄴ/는다니까 ((n/neun)danikka) quotation ending, which is used to emphasize something you’ve already said. Namjoon’s use of this tells me a couple things:

He’s already said this to Jimin before and is having to repeat himself

He’s kind of annoyed that they’re still talking about this/having this conversation again

The nuance of using ~ㄴ/는다니까 to quote your sentence is that you’re kind of irritated that you have to keep saying the same thing. So, when Namjoon is saying “내가 말했잖아 너 좋아한다니까” and “쟤가 너 좋아한다니까,” he’s kind of saying something like “[I’ve already told you this] (?) likes you” and “[You’re not wanting to hear this but] (That person) likes you.” And the tone in which he says this contrasts Jimin’s tone as well, accentuating the effect. Jimin’s laughing and kind of giddy and Namjoon is more casual/speaking in his normal tone. Please don’t misunderstand this as something extremely negative. It could be playful. It’s just interesting that the way he said it indicated that this wasn’t the start of the conversation–that they had been speaking on it for awhile before we heard that part of it, and that he was just kind of wanting Jimin to accept it. It’s a bit like getting slightly impatient with your friend who keeps asking you if you think someone likes them or not. This is why the nuance is so interesting to me.

Anyway, I said all this to really say nothing at all substantive. It just struck me as interesting, regardless of whether or not you take the conversation light-heartedly, or you think Jimin was having a Taehyung moment where he just needed to be reassured of someone’s affections for him. It’s cool to see these differences between Korean and English and how they can set the tone of a conversation like this
