-don’t try to fix what’s been broken (chances are it won’t work out)

No matter how many people you date or how many people you have sex with, in the course of your life, there will only be a few people that you love. Some may argue against that, but I don’t believe anyone will truly love, to the fullest extent of the word and feeling and experience that love is, more than a handful of people. Two, three, perhaps five. I don’t see the number realistically going much higher than that. I challenge you to think about that. Regardless of what point you’re at in your life, whether you’re currently in love, whether you’re in love, but no longer with that person, whether you’re dating and just getting to know somebody, or even if you’re just plain single. Whether you’re twenty-five or fifty-nine years old. Look back and see the people in your life who you’ve absolutely loved for certain, without any doubts or reservations in your heart. I promise you that number will be very low.
