valentine edwards — 16 — dancer — in camp against her will

HISTORY

she's been dancing since she was four years old — ballet lessons in her family's studio, with the other little kids befriending her because the teacher was her mommy. at sixteen, val only remembers the name of one of them.

and up until today, she doesn't have many people she considers "real friends." she can name four, maybe.

val started branching out to other dance styles in the sixth grade, and has since decided that she loves break dancing and hip hop the most.

her parents are together and loving. valentine was raised in a very supportive environment, with her two older brothers, and one younger sister.

her mother, scared that val had a hard time making friends in her freshman year of high school, forced her to go summer camp to "help with her people skills." whatever that meant.

valentine agreed, because her parents agreed to buy her a new computer at the beginning of the school year.

PERSONALITY

val is very shy and guarded. she is soft spoken, and only raises her voice when her emotions overflow and get the better of her. which is rarely.

much like how she's in control of her body while dancing, she's very in control of her emotions and has no problem keeping them in checks. 

all emotions except one: fear. she's scared of so many things, and that leads to her being shy, and not taking many chances socially.

she's hoping to go through camp with as few bruises as possible.
