Also I’m still not normal about the finer lines of Iroh being present for Yue’s sacrifice.

A man who once waged war on the world and lost his son to it watches one sole girl save the world, himself included, by giving her life. A beloved only child with a duty on her shoulders to please her people… just like Lu Ten.

But she died because she wanted to uphold the world. Iroh had been taught, and passed on these teachings to Lu Ten, that the world was there for their taking, to ‘share their glory’.

Iroh’s recently uncovered eyes watch this child sacrifice herself so he may continue to live.

A water tribe girl, his opposite element, has spared the world on fire.

And who is he in that moment but a spectator to a power that overshadows his birthright

If it wasn’t for the, you know, being on the run thing, I would make it a definite personal headcanon that another reason why Iroh became content with letting go of his ties to the Fire Nation is all because of watching Yue sacrifice herself.

Like, here’s Iroh, an old man, a former crown prince and general, who was raised to once believe the world was there for him to take, and he tried, and he failed.

Years later, not entirely a changed man, but just a bit wiser, he’s at one of the spiritual hotspots of the world, and he witnesses a girl, the same age as Zuko, sacrifice her life for not only her people, but essentially for the world.

A child saved the life of him and the entire world, a man who ultimately didn’t deserve it.

A man who’d lost his own, only child.

I, personally, definitely chalk up being present for Yue’s sacrifice as a silent, defining moment for Iroh’s trajectory into Season 2.

kris deltarune is the character ever . theyre besties with a girl who openly threatened them the day before . theyre an incredibly talented piano player . theyre a gamer . they eat moss . they eat moss with previously mentioned bestie . they used to prank their classmate by hiding under her bed to jumpscare her. when they were even younger they were there to both burn and bury a box with a spooky face on it for the same classmate and then proceeded to scare her again by wearing the box as a mask . they wore horns for a year because they wanted to be a monster for halloween and just decided to keep them on . they are possessed by an otherworldly being and still experiences everything that happens during it . their most prominent thematic foil is an unstable spam ad who tries to give you malware . theyre even nonbinary

Ura-Acca, a sympathetic character, recoils in disgust when Himari suggests she looks like her mom and he is ‘waiting’ for her to become an adult. I don’t even think he liked Asuza. Yeah he might have created an artificial girl who was never allowed to have freedoms and set her on fire later and created this game just roping more girls into it but he draws the line at pedophilia.

Meanwhile Sawaki last episode straight up suggested that Ai is going to look like her mom when she grows up and painted her with flowers that meant “waiting” and “romantic love”.

You can also just compare Ai sitting at the table with Ura-Acca listening to him and how she’s fine with it versus any time the teacher is on screen it being really weird. He was treating her like his lost daughter and poured her a glass of water and told her what was going on so she was aware.

Anyway weird men please stop trying to tell me the teacher is ‘actually good’.

It’s finally done :D

My longest deltarune vid to date and the most work as well.

Things like work and finding a better video maker held it back a bit but I had to get it out there so here it is.
