Aaron's fingers fumble with the tie, his hands shaking so bad he curls them into a fist. Today he goes to trial for Drake's murder.
He takes a breath, trying a second time to tie his tie, cursing when he fumbles again.
This is bullshit.
"Need help?"
Aaron looks up, meeting Andrew's gaze in the mirror. He's leaning casually against the bathroom door, cigarette hanging out of his mouth.
Aaron sighs. "Yeah."
Andrew nods, pushing away from the wall. He carefully balances his cigarette on the back of the toilet and moves towards Aaron. He gently takes the tie between his hands and begins effortlessly tying it.
"How did you learn to tie a tie?" Aaron asks, watching as his brother knots his tie with deft fingers.
"When you spend a lifetime in and out of courthouses you learn quick," Andrew responds taking a step back and smoothing down Aaron's tie. He smirks. "There you go, young man, you look really respectable now."
"How are you not freaking out?" Aaron asks watching his brother walk towards the bathroom door.
Andrew picks up his cigarette, flicking the ashes into the open toilet, and says, "Who says I'm not?"
He walks away before Aaron could respond.

andrew minyard character of all time. he's toxic. he doesn't talk to cops. he has an identical twin brother and they hate each other. he made his identical twin brother promise not to have any other friends and then doesn't even talk to him. he might be a misogynist. his only friends are a born-again lesbian who can beat him up, the runaway son of a yakuza-affiliated serial killer, and his therapist. he's a student athlete. he hates sports. he killed his mother. he's a Mean Girl who runs his friend group like a cult. he's a crim major for the bit. he has an eidetic memory. he's petty. he likes to get people gifts. he does coke sometimes but says it doesn't have any effect on him because he has too many mental illnesses. he's the love interest. he doesn't smile. he was right about wwiii. y2k goth. repeatedly risks his life to help people in situations that have absolutely nothing to do with him and says it's out of boredom. when they picked him up from the psych ward he got in the driver's seat and blasted screamo the whole ride back and didn't say a single word to anyone. oh my god he is exactly five feet tall. he's even gay

NEED the aftg fandom to stop demonising andrew just let him exist. sleeping with his arms draped over the steering wheel, smashing his racquet against the wall when he got scored on, staring at neil in silence for a full minute after finding out what the foxes named the cats, "what are you doing with a maserati?" "driving it.", drinking hot chocolate and watching movies with bee, buying neil armbands so he doesn't have to see his scars, running up and down the stairs in the stadium, falling asleep on the beanbag in the dorms, muttering something that makes renee laugh under his breath during an interview, studying criminology for the shits n giggles, clocking jeremy immediately and going back and gossiping to renee about it, buying clubbing clothes for neil, UGH andrew minyard you will always be loved by me.

"You sure?"
Aaron turned on Andrew. "I don't care if you're gay, and I don't care that you picked the literal most irritating person on the planet to fall for. I care that you're being a hypocrite."

The best thing about Neil’s interactions with Ichirou is that they show he has the ability to choose his words carefully and show respect/submission when necessary for his own safety… and he just chose not to do that before. His pride is a pricey queen that will only bow to a certain caliber of threat. He needs to be confronted by a high enough level of murderous mob member before he finally unlocks the ability to use his filter. He has it in his lil duffle bag, but he stores it in there for safe keeping unless shit is really going down.

maybe unpopular opinion but i kinda don't want jeremy to ever react to something violently because i don't want jean to have to live with that sliver of fear that jeremy could be capable of violence toward him like there's definitely something appealing about like jeremy getting a red card defending jean but at the same time i find the idea of him *never* resorting to violence really appealing too. jean seeing jeremy very very angry and yet still not hurting anyone with that anger? proving to jean that violence is not guaranteed? yeah

my favorite thing about jean and neil’s relationship is by far the fact that neil has absolutely nothing against jean and views him in a neutral-leaning-positive light but jean views neil as a horror show and the functional human equivalent of all of his problems combined
