This morning Sierra had been moving around a lot so we took a small walk around moorland.

It was really early and Moorland looked beautiful

I think it's safe to say she got her energy out

Practiced a few jumps with Violet today. We're getting ready for an event coming late July

5 years ago my friend Linea raised a little foal named Sunny. Sunny grew into the elegant polomino I have now.

Linea's family soon fell into debt. When they told her she had to auction Sunny, Linea was heart broken.

The idea of some random stranger owning Sunny felt unbearable to Linea. So when she heard I had horses of my own and was open for more, she asked if I would like to lease Sunny.

I was unsure, that was, until I met Sunny. She instantly attached to my heart and I was more than happy to lease Sunny--that way Linea could still see her mare.

Then, leasing turned into owning. Now Linea still often visits Sunny and Sunny gets overjoyed seeing her.

Part 1/? Of a reining horse rrp

So I've been volunteering at Starshine Ranch for a while now, and I was going to muck out the stalls when...

I noticed a horse in the pasture who I didn't recognize. I went up to the fence...

And it was a beautiful red roan quarter horse! I had to know who it belonged to, so I ran to Josh...

Who said it belonged to Wayne. So I went to him instead...

Wayne told me he'd been trying to sell that horse for quite a while and he was selling her for pretty cheap too. So, naturally I asked if I could give her a test ride, and he said yes.

So I got her from the pasture...

And brought her to the arena....

This is Sunny

Sunny stands at 12.8 hands

She's a Fell pony Halflinger mix mare. Sunny is great for beginner lessons. She almost never bucks and rarely spooks

Sunny goes with the flow and is perfect for beginners. Her story will be coming soon

When I turned 17 my parents and I bought Violet. She's my first ever horse and I'm so grateful my parents helped me get her.

Violet's been apart of my life for so long now. Despite her age, she's still as joyful and goofy as ever.

Since she's getting older we typically use her as a lesson horse for beginners. She's always very gentle and whenever we have a new rider, I always put them on her.

She's an eventer and jumper but Violet's calm in anything you put her in.

She's an Arabian mare standing at 12.5 hands.

She's my first ever horse and we've grown up together.

Although she's getting older, she's still goofy and playful as ever.

---| SSO RRP Dakota's Journey |---

When I turned 18 I bought my second horse ever at an auction--Dakota

I was pretty new to this kind of stuff, so I bought him even though there was not much information on him.

And I soon found out why.

As soon as we brought him home he bucked and kicked. The auction had claimed he was trained, but it was obvious we were scammed.

I really thought about selling him back, but for some reason, I couldn't. It didn't feel right.

After much debating with myself, I hired one of the best trainer near my stable. She was gentle but strict enough that within a year Dakota was fully trained.

Now were both closer than ever.

He really holds a special place in my heart after everything we've been through. I am so glad I decided to keep him.

We mostly do cross-country and sometimes jumping. I rarely use him as a lesson horse because he can still get spooked by any little critter in the woods. But, despite that he'll always be my buddy.

This is Dakota.

He's my second horse I've ever gotten, and the first I bought completely on my own.

He's a charming, gelding Belgian warm-blood. I typically use him for cross country and a bit of jumping.

He's definitely intermediate because he can easily get spooked and will gallop if afraid.

His journey to my home-stable will come soon.

It's always been a dream of mine to own horses, and I even got to ride one of my friend's horses before our schedules got to busy.

That said, I've never owned a horse. RRP's are just my way of living vi curiously (however it's spelled, idk) (Viacuriously. Thank you @froggistain)

So please, do your own research before doing what I do in my RRP's.
