obligatory nerd note inspired by KCD2's amazing, standout, achingly beautiful soundtrack, and ppl getting into medieval music as a result (exciting!):
bardcore != medieval music. the kcd soundtrack, on the other hand, has a lot of accurately researched late medieval music (but also some definitely 100% romantic era classical inspired tracks).

to wildly oversimplify, early medieval music a) has a different concept of harmonies from how we use them today (modal vs polyphonic) and b) was largely microtonal until 1300s
