i know your parents said no pets

and it’s too early for anything

but look outside :)

on cue, suna knocks on the glass of your window with a cat peeking out of the zipper of his backpack—he even blows on the surface and draws a heart before the fog fades out.

“good morning to my dearest beloved lover of mine.” he comically greets when you open your window to let him in. “i’ll be quick. i just need fifteen minutes.”

the cat—around seven weeks old—in his bag sneezes before you reach out to pet it.

“got us a cat, y/n.” he whispers excitedly and carefully brings him out and into your arms. “hope you’ll like the little guy.”

“i love him already!” you coo, cuddling the cat all curled up in your arms. “but my parents would kill me if i keep him around.”

“that’s why he’ll be staying at my place. i’ll smuggle him here when you want to see him or you can come over.” his palm finds itself on top of the cat’s head.

“your landlord doesn’t allow pets either, rin.”

suna clicks his tongue and shrugs. “what that man doesn’t know won’t hurt him.” he then crawls on top of your mattress to lay down and pats on the empty space for you to join him.

a big content sigh leaves him when you lay next to him with the cat still in your arms—he immediately pulls you close on instinct.

suna promptly brushes your hair out of your face. “does this mean i’m going to need to fight for your undivided attention with this one around?”

“it would seem so, rin.” you smile when he presses his lips against your forehead. “but thank you.”

his hands rub at your upper arm soothingly. “i did promise to do anything for you right? even if you told me to rob a bank for you, i would! i’d even get away with it.”

it’s sweet how he often isn’t afraid to bend the rules to see you happy.

the cat manages to crawl underneath his shirt to which your boyfriend flinches at its claws grazing at the skin of his abdomen. “that’s our cue.” he says as he throws his legs off the mattress—the feline in his arms and still underneath his shirt.

you tail after him to your window with a pout.

“you need your sleep, y/n.” he kisses you swiftly before he zips his backpack with the cat inside and its head peeking out as it did when you first saw it. “i’ll pick you up tomorrow, yeah?” suna’s hand finds yours as always even when he’s got one leg out the window already.

“okay.” swaying his hand in yours, you stand on the tips of your toes to give him a kiss on his cheek. “see you.”

suna exits carefully and adjusts the straps of his backpack on his shoulders.

he looks at you with a smile. “weird. i miss you already.”

you could only shake your head fondly. “go home, rin.”

with a salute sent your way and a cat lolling its head around asleep behind him—he leaves before your parents could find him in your room.
