It would be funny if Andre got evilized in a future episode and Ladybug and Catnoir hear him ask them whether it’s possible for him to right his wrongs about Chloe and for Chloe to come back. Ladybug is angry at Andre upon hearing this. Catnoir is like, “So you want to become a better father to Chloe? You felt guilty about not being a good father. Is that why you want Chloe to come back? Is that why you got evilized?”

Catnoir is angry when Andre reveals he was evilized due to distress about his directorial prospects not going to plan, and that Andre wanted Chloe to come back to use her social media influence to boost his career, not so he can become a better father.

Then cracks form in Catnoir and Ladybug’s relationship when Catnoir realised that Ladybug was angry at Andre because she didn’t want Chloe to come back, not because Andre is such a bad father.

honestly, that makes a great plot for a fanfic......Though I think Adrien would understand why Ladybug wouldn't want Chloe to come back. Chloe did cause ALOT of akumas and did try taking over the city and helped hawkmoth which helped escalate things. Which helped lead to that final battle where his dad dies if you think about it. And heck adrien had gotten angry on marinette's behalf over the pool incident and cut chloe off again even though they stopped being friends due to chloe choosing to do so after Zoey. Chloe online inseason 6 is still trying to frame it in a way chloe isn't at fault despite her choices. So I think ladybug would still have a pretty solid case for bring upset and not trusting bringing chloe back would improve things....especially if they don't show chloe is having a bad time.

I feel like depending on what angles you take the motive it could work from many different directions. Like....considering Andre had framed things as him being free from chloe's mom and chloe... where he claimed he was pressured to do worse and how he will do right by zoey....would mari see it as Andre backsliding into old habits? That he wants to rely on his ex's money or chloe for his movie like how Sabrina had tried to break from chloe before back in season one but went back to chloe? how he said he would do better by zoey but he is being tempted by the potential money and connections... he is willing to go back on something he had seemed to believe at the time. which could point to how yes it seems chloe's mom led him to politics but it was his own nature that caused him to take shortcuts as well if he is willing to compromise what he commited to just because he thinks it might help his movie carrier....which could be interesting because on one hand...

...obviously a dick move...if he is going to bring chloe back he should only do so if he both actually misses her but also actually thinks he can do better and take responsability and help chloe improve. if part of him wants her for connections then it runs the risk he might spoiler or enable her again just to get what he wants since she is easier to deal with placated....much like how he would spoil chloe instead of giving her the discipline and structure she needed...and taking away the consequence of her action could risk chloe starting to think it wasn't THAT big of a deal.

Though it could also be framed in a different way.

Especially when the show framed Andre in the right for leaving chloe and hadn't corrected that for a while....so would mari think Andre was just giving chloe another opportunity that chloe was going to waste because she is irredeemable?

Would it point out how Andre wants to supper and be their for Zoey but also be successful at what he wanted to do and how he might think he isn't good enough....and how that could be symapthetic like someone getting back with a ex due to feeling less finacially stable or something. Would she want Andre to have faith in himself and try instead of backsliding?

Mari could also project on it in various ways...like maybe she could be pissed because she has chosen to keep the secert about gabriel and she associates chloe with her having to do that subconsciously? maybe she doesn't like the idea of Andre changing his reasoning because it makes her think about how deep downs she does want to come clean? Or she could be frusterated that Andre would risk Chloe coming back when a new hawkmoth is around and Chloe has the reputation for getting people akumatized? let alone how she might side with the new mysterious hawkmoth if she is still holding a grudge since the last time mari got a call from chloe...chloe DOUBLED DOWN on her choices. WE the audience know chloe cried and other little details but Mari and Adrien don't so it kind of makes sense Ladybug wouldn't be happy about Chloe being brought back...and considering Adrien got upset on mari's behalf about how Chloe and Kim and the pool incident. I don't think Adrien would initially be thrilled either and understand Ladybug's point.

I wonder if ladybug would see it as Andre backsliding on his rempetion arc would would frusterate her because she HAS to believe Hawkmoth had changed in that final battle and not think about how hawkmoth if he had lived...might have backslide like this.

Like...your definitly right though that Adrien would be pissed about Andre's motive to reconnect with Chloe was due to wanting connections through Chloe for his business and finatical insecurity and not genuinely because he missed her and wanted to do right by her. Adrien knows what its like to be used for business and thinking how the only way to connect with your dad is through the business as that is why adrien tolerated modeling for so long and Adrien knows what its like to get your hopes up that you dad might try to genuinely make amends. Would he project a bit due to his own dynamic with Gabriel? How Adrien had thought Gabriel was improving for a while just to get sent away and brought back on Gabe's terms?

Though Adrien also tends to be the one better at putting himself in other's shoes and had known some of chloe's worst behaviour was due to her craving her mother's love and Andre spoiled her instead of giving her guidance. So Adrien getting pissed at Andre's motive about the connections rather than doing right by Chloe would make sense. I like the idea Adrien would focus on Andre's motive being off...like its possible Andre could have some complicated feelings and miss chloe still and still love her a bit like Sabrina....but that wouldn't change what Andre initally did with leaving Chloe with his ex? wife. and that his motive here was more self focused rather than thinking about how it could affect Chloe. Like what if Chloe came and it did give Andre the uptick and connections he needed? would he abandon Chloe again? or keep her just for the connections? would he spoil her again? Does he genuinely think he messed up in how he handled things before or would he pretend that was the case to get what he wants?

Would adrien symapthize that despite everything that Chloe did she did face some consequences and yet wouldn't deserve to be approached with this motive in mind because it wouldn't actually make Chloe better? Since Adrien does think about he reasons people might act out. Would it bring to light that Andre was in the wrong in how he abandoned Chloe? That andre was more responsible for Chloe's behaviour and hadn't done anything to fix it before?

Would Andre realize he needs to change his motive and get better a bit like Ivan's dad got a slight new perspective?

I really like the idea Mari/Ladybug might miss how fucked up Andre's motive was because she doesn't want Chloe back and is focusing on that rather than seeing the bigger issue was Andre's motive would make things worse since she has a happy life with her parents and most things in her family circle worked out. I mean her grandpa was pretty rascist(even if they rpetend it was just about bread) and disowned Tom for a while and she had to interfer to provoke them talking. and Roland did eventually come to his senses to make up with Tom. Would she think of course Andre wanted to see chloe and that it might be a excuse to see her or something? Since even the sucky hawkmoth/Gabriel had SOME care for his son she could connect with despite how far he was gone.

Might miss the better reasons to be pissed since in show plenty of people show up with not great motives at first and see the light eventually...like jagged stone when he was confronted with having to own up he has kids and especially when Mari isn't the best at putting herself in other's shoes accurately unless its spelled out a bit more since its still outside her own family experience.

So I think Adrien/Chat could be bothered by her not seeing the problem Chat sees in the situation with Andre's reasoning I think Chat/Adrien would still understand her not wanting Chloe around and being on edge that it would just get worse also has a point. and since Adrien is often the one who is a bit more in depth with emotions who is the one who helps mari see situations and people are deeper and more complicated than she first assumes it could be another case where adrien/chat is the one who has to open her eyes again on that.

since Mari and adrien tend to have different approaches. Mari tends to be a bit judgy at first and jumps to quick conclusions...but that also means she can be quick and firm in acting in a situation and won't let people get away with things which can cut through excuses since mari has the experience of being bullied and people not doing much to stop that which caused things to escalate...same with lila. Mari's more firm view of justice withs stubborness can be positive since its harder to get her to bakc down when she has chosen to fight and stand up for people when she is going for it....but the weakness is that mari can be mistaken or miss out on important details and her weakness is she struggles to put herself accurately in people's shoes. she cares and will help fix things when she can but there is a reason her kwami tended to give mari the most advice and guidance.

Adrien on the other hand knows hurt people hurt people and that includes people you don't personally like and most of the people in his life could be complicated or have a difficult time expressing their emotions in healthy manners and Adrien knows making them feel cornered or judged just causes them to double down and be worse at times. He will step in to stop things like mari does but his more understanding approach does give them more openings to continue being jerks like lila and chloe...but also gives them more chances to be better.

Mari had learned to be more understanding and open and not just firm but got mixed signals when it came to gabriel and chloe.

and Adrien had been understanding but faced chloe doubling down and refusing to change and his dad going to bad habits...but he also has the impression his dad is a hero thanks to the lies even if there was some type of change of heart.

Adrien could think about his complicated feeling with his dad and how he had wanted to genuinely fix it and how disapointed he had been when his dad seemed to disregard his wants...and Adrien wished he had more time with his dad to clear that air...would he be pissed Andre was offering to connect with Chloe again but it wasn't entirely sincere in owning up his responsibility and faults and raise that hope? Would Andre be underestimating the care chloe has for him so not realize how hurt she could be? would he point out how it could be similar to how the mom had treated Chloe?

Has Andre considering how Zoey would feel about this? Would Adrien think about how prideful Chloe could be and would she even admit she misses the dad at this point when he left her first? and can Adrien judge entirely since he hadn't reached out to Chloe either and let her push him away and Adrien doubled down on not being her friend before? though a friend is different than a parent so his judgment might still stand.

It also gets interesting because if Chat is firm with Andre about this and motives would it reflect on that letter or the other parenst a bit mari knows about? would it bring up the idea of sincerely trying to do better and make up for you mistakes is important and compare andre to other adults like Nathalie and Gabriel ect?

I know alot of people might just use this to salt on Mari more entirely...but it really is a good dynamic because Mari tends to have a slightly narrow view especially when upset where chat/adrien tend to give her different Perseptives she hadn't seen before and cause some growth while also showing the different things they might focus on.

It could also help remind people Andre is why Chloe is like this the most...not just her mom and give some extra sympathy the show tried to pretend we shouldn't have since chloe had doubled down instead of trying to fix things and stop things from escalating...like sabrina did choose to come clean in the end after all instead of doubling down.

It could also remind us that Mari/Ladybug CAN be wrong about people and what she might miss. I like the idea Chat might be firmer with how Andre's motive was wrong.

There is alot of interesting ways this could go! Its so chewy! I wonder if Kagami could also have opinions or the other heros? like Ivan or the others with complicated family situations with thoughts on Chloe. let alone Zoey and Sabrina.
