I've said this on other platforms, but if mastercard/visa/whatever go after a large payment source like Valve, Valve should just tell them "fuck off then, we won't accept your payment method". When a company like Valve who is large enough to be an obvious line item on a companies balance sheet stops accepting them, it'll change things drastically.

It worked to basically kill off American Express and Diner's Club (not really, they're still technically around, but far less than they used to be).

While I approve of attacking this stuff legally as well... that only matters if the company doesn't "suddenly" get "government" protection. Remember, these types of payment policies are used to kill off undesirables in fascist regimes, make their shareholders know it'll impact them financially, even without a court case, and you've got the shareholders on your side.

Great and now there's this. Theres truly no room for an ounce of complacency this is a direct attack on queer creatives.

As someone who runs formal intelligence testing for a living (amongst other things).... I too would like to mention that IQs aren't real.

And yes, most of the more famous "IQ Tests" were developed, and championed by eugenicists (and worse).

I've said a lot about intelligence testing in the past, but I'd like to say again, if anyone is suggesting that their "intelligence" number means anything... it's worthless. Heck, even an "IQ" score is pointless as different tests that give numbers related to IQ can have different meanings behind those same numbers!

Oh, and "super secret fun fact"... your "IQ score" will change as you get older.

Isn't it fucking insane that so many people think that IQs are real. Like people genuinely believe you are born with one set level of intelligence that can be measured on a scale from 1 to ~200. As if intelligence wasn't extremely nuanced and completely subjective. And the fact that the majority of scientists that have advocated for IQ tests in the past have been eugenicists doesn't seem to concern anyone either
