Tzuyu

I went up, say Hi and requested her to sign using my nickname. So I asked her since she likes animal a lot, does she likes reptiles too. Tzuyu smiled and replied yes she likes it too. I asked her if she likes lizards this type of animal and she said she likes it too.

I passed her the letter and she asked me what is the meaning of my nickname. I told her it’s similar to the hip hop duo and so she asked me if I like hip hop.

So I told her instead of hip hop, I’m more interested in beat box and performed at several places before. Tzuyu asked if I can show her some beat box ‘I like this kind of (music)’ and she showed an expression that she really wants to see so I performed in front of her. She was fascinated and even told Nayeon ‘This fan did beat box’ who was sitting beside her.

  Momo

I told her to sign with my nickname after greeted her and she read out my nickname one word by one word, I almost fainted.

I asked her who she sat with in the bus and Momo said she was alone. The seating arrangement was 2:1. She slept well on the way to fansign venue.

  Mina

Heart almost stopped because she was smiling very brightly at me. I asked her the same question as I asked Momo too.

Mina said she sat with Sana but both of them totally fell asleep while on the way to fansign venue

Summer, Lovely Signal sent by Twice

Q: You have a comeback after 3 months. This is the first time you will be promoting with JYP-produced-title-track after debuted.

 Momo

We are nervous but anticipating at the same time after thinking we will have more chances to meet the fans. We once envious of the other sunbae-nim (seniors) who promoted with the track that included ‘JYP’ in the introduction part and finally, we are able to sing it through Signal too. We feel really happy and honored. It is a track that suits with Twice lively and cute concept and I hope you will give a lot of love to the song.

 Jeongyeon

‘Do it again’ from our debut album was composed by JYP PD-nim too but he put more effort as it (Signal) will be the title track this time. He composed the choreography personally and made a lot of changes. He came down to the practice room, taught us the choreography and said the way we danced were really cute (Laugh).

 Q: To Twice, what producer JYP is. He is famous of giving good advices to the company artists. Do you have any memorable advices given by him?

 Mina

I’m not sure if I can say this but he is really a father-like figure (to me). He bought us meal frequently and gave a lot of advices during teaching too.

 Sana

He took care of our meal ever since we debuted. Recently, because it is more difficult for us to chat when there is 9 of us so we have been divide into 3-member per group to have a meal with him. He will always compliment us ‘You became prettier’ whenever he sees us.

 Q: Jihyo and Chaeyoung wrote the lyrics for ‘Eye Eye Eyes’ together. What is your thoughts as an officially debuted song writer?

 Jihyo

I really want to compose and write the lyrics for a song. I didn’t expect it to come true. I asked if I could try to write the lyrics for a foreign-composed-song without lyrics and took the challenge with Chaeyoung. This was my first time and was clumsy but I’m happy as I was able to experience new thing.

Chaeyoung

I have been writing lyrics alone so I took this good opportunity as a challenge. It was more fun to work together with Jihyo unnie and we came out with the lyrics very quickly. We got confirmed (approval) in first try and (I thought) we might need to make a few correction during the recording but we actually finished it in one try.

 Q: You have 4 hit songs starting from debut song ‘LIKE OOH-AHH’ to ‘KNOCK KNOCK’. What do you think is the reason you received this much of love from the public? And do you agree with people saying (Twice is) ‘The trend’.

 Chaeyoung

I think we are thankful and able to receive the love from everyone because we were given the song that suits us a lot. I am someone who listen to our songs a lot and still, they are so good to me. We are able to show the 9 different unique personalities that we have not only on stage but through broadcast shows too. I am thinking is it the combination between good song and lively energy that makes people to like us.

 Jeongyeon

The part that I am really thankful of. Our members count is on a higher side but they (public) can recognize us one by one. Being describe positively itself is a great honor to us.  

  Q: You received New Artist Award in 2015 to Daesang in 2016. It is very rare for a rookie. Do you feel the responsibilities or burden by this great achievement?

 Tzuyu

We are really happy. It is a touching moment. We are always thinking to show you a side of Twice who work even harder as a repay.

 Jihyo

It is a lie if we don’t feel burden by it. We received tremendous love within a short period of time and of course we will feel burdened and worried a lot. By any chance, we are thinking to work even harder so we don’t change or become arrogant. (I thought) And therefore, we will be able to promote with a better image in the long run.

 Q: During the debut showcase, you said your aim is to become ‘A singer that respects by many people, and become a singer that comes into people’s mind when mentioned about Korea’. How many percent do you think you have achieved?

The biggest aim we set during early debut days. We are still in the process of reaching the goal. Showing people our unique color, the genre of music and stages we want to perform are like the steps moving towards our goals.

We are still lacking. We have only promoted for 2 years and now, this is the new beginning for us. There is a long way to go and a lot of things we want to do.

 Q: Other than music, is there a hobby that you fell in love with recently.

 Momo

I play many games. I enjoy playing the game alone and we play mafia and red-ginseng games among ourselves very often too.

 Tzuyu

We play a lot of games among ourselves. I play a lot of game too and I am good at Tetris (Laugh).

 Dahyun

All of the members are addicted to games. We play Mafia game when we have time in the waiting room and that’s how we enjoy our leisure time.

 Sana

I fell into charging of battery. Not long ago, I slept without charging my portable battery but I tried (charged) and found it to be so much fun. There were times where I woke up to the phone with 0% of battery but now I feel good to go to the venue with a fully charged phone.

 Jeongyeon

I like sports recently. I am more concerned about my health. I want to go to gym but I don’t have much time since I am focusing on preparing the comeback. I will exercise whenever I have spare times.

Mina

I like clothes so whenever I have time, I will keep searching for clothes online. I am those kind who will search for ‘What new fashion is released this time’, (instead of buying) I do eye-shopping more. I like puzzle too. Not too long ago, I spent about 10 hours to complete our official goods poster puzzle.

Recently, Nayeon unnie and I took a lot of photos using the film camera. I print and scan it frequently. I started to draw again recently.

 Nayeon

From portrait to scenery, I took a various concept of photos using my film camera. Since I spend more time with my members and staff, I mostly capture the daily life of people around me. I go to print the photos personally too.

 Jihyo

I took photos of this and that using the newly bought camera. I am working towards to do more reading as well. I was those type who don’t read much and glued to the phone previously. There is an increase numbers of interview and after I challenged myself to write the lyrics, I felt that I’m lacking a lot in terms of vocabulary. Even if I don’t have time, I will spend 5 or 10 minutes to read too.

Q: No matter how busy you are, what is the ‘Let’s not forget about this’ that you will do.

 Chaeyoung

No matter what, there is a chance where (you will) lack of the positivity when you are tired. However, when there is a difficult period, thinking of the fans helps me in gaining the positive energy.    

 Sana

The fans are always waiting for us no matter we are at the music broadcast or events. For my grateful fans, I will always want to communicate with them through SNS, I will greet them whenever I meet them or when I leave.

 Dahyun

My vision is not good so no matter how tired I am; I will remind myself to bring my lens. Dahyun ah~ let’s not forget about it and bring it (with you) (Laugh).

We are still lacking a lot but I want compliment more. We have become more familiar with and natural while performing on music broadcast or events throughout the 2 years.

 Jeongyeon

We have become prettier. We saw our early debut photos again previously and we told each other ‘Seriously, we became prettier’, and ‘Look at her’ while making fun of each other. We were chubbier and had a baby-like feels last time.

 Q: When do you feel 'I'm happy because I am one of the Twice member’, ‘Good job in becoming part of Twice’.

 Mina

Every moment. It is impossible for me to perform alone on stage and it is only possible when the members are there together. I am really happy because we are very close to each other. I am happy.

 Tzuyu

We don’t fight even though we have different opinions among ourselves sometimes. We talk to each other and get over it quickly. I am extremely happy to be with these members. Twice is indeed a good team.  

 Nayeon

I don’t have a lot of friends where I can pour my heart out to but now, I have 8 of them. They know me well, I can show everything to them, I am happy because there is Twice who I can have a heart-to-heart talk.

 Dahyun

We might feel the time throughout this one and half year to be short, we might feel that it has been a long time but, there is still a long way to go. In the future, as of right now, I hope we will not forget the bright and healthy side of us. Thank you very much for loving the Twice who is still lacking off as always. Once, I hope you don’t fall sick, stay healthy and be happy all the time. We will work harder in order to repay your love.      

Chaeyoung

You have worked hard but let’s work even harder. There are lot of things you will need to do, to grow and to accomplish in the future. Never forget the positivity and if we work harder steps by steps, we will be able to draw a bigger picture than the 9 of us desired of (achieve a greater success). Fighting! Once we want to show you a growing image of Twice through this promotion. Look forward to the Twice who has grown and improved.

Although there will be a hard time, all of it is going to be a precious moment to us when we look back. While thinking of those moments, let’s cheer up! And to Once who is there for Twice*, you are a great presence to us. You are everything to Twice.

But after debuted, I am able to discover what the fans love. Should I say Once has become one part of my life. We will show you a better side of us.  

Jeongyeon

My trainee life was about 7 years. And I think I went through it quite well. As much as the love we received from everyone, we will not forget our roots and let’s work harder. Once! Just like the meaning of Once, just like the song ‘One in a million’, you are the only one out of the millions, a very precious person in existence to us. We never could have come this far without Once.

 Tzuyu

I was shy before debuted. I didn’t start a conversation with someone who I was not close to and I barely talked. I am still not good at communicating but I want to praise myself for working harder in communicating with the fans and has improved bits by bits. And because of Once who always cheer for us, I want to show you more of our brighter and cool performances. Similar to us who gain strength by looking at Once whenever we are tired, I hope Once will be happy by looking at Twice whenever you are having a hard time too.

 Mina

The happy moment will come even though we are suffering right now so let’s work harder. Please look forward to us in the future too. Once, you are the one who created Twice. It might sound like a common phrase but (I would like to say) ‘Because there is Once, there is Twice’.

 Sana

In the future, to spend a great time together with the members and Once like now! Never forget how we enjoy ourselves on stage like how we use to enjoy the stage as always too! Good job. 170520 Music Core Pre-recording Fanacc

1.     Nayeon helped Sana to tidy up her clothes

2.     Sana’s shoelace got loose and she nearly fell. She squatted down to tie her shoelaces, Chaeng squatted down to help her too

3.     Fan shouted “Twice Hwaiting! Once cheer on you!”. Twice heard and Jihyo followed what Once said. And Momo said “Once Hwaiting! Momo cheer for you!”. Sana came later to the stage so Jihyo said “Sana Hwaiting! Jihyo cheer for you!” to Sana

4.     Momo followed and said “Sana Hwaiting! Momo cheering for you!”

5.     The mic was off after the pre-recording when Sana said “Once Jjang (the best)”. Dahyun gave Sana her mic and Sana said “Once Jjang” again and gave a thumbs up to Once when she left

Twiceland in BKK Speech

Tzuyu: We came to Thailand and feel the love of Thai fan ourselves. It's fascinating, I'm happy. A lot of Thai fans came to welcome us at airport that I can't imagine of. Although I'm not good in Thai, but I hope I can express my gratitude to you today. I want to come back to Thai and perform again next time

 Nayeon: Sorry that we can't meet each other that often. This is the first time, we'll learn Thai, work harder and meet you more closely next time.

170517 Show Champion Pre-recording Fanacc

1.     Once asked Nayeon to recommend a menu and Nayeon recommended Rabokki (Ramen+ Tteokbokki)

2.     Jihyo with bangs today. Dahyun said Choco pie is delicious and gave a thumbs up

3.     The girls said they will start hair-styling in 10 pm for M countdown pre-recording tomorrow

4.     All the girls went to the waiting area where Onces were standing, it’s like a mini fan meeting

5.     (Maybe) The girls felt warm due to the dance so all of them hold one handheld fan

6.     Jeongyeon pretended to dry Momo’s jacket by using the handheld fan

7.     Momo came to the waiting area and asked Once if they have eaten. When Onces said they haven’t, Momo became sulky right away. Her expression was funny

8.     Mina looked lethargic today

10.  Dahyun wanted to do the dubu dubu dance but there was mic at one side so it’s hard for her to perform. Once told her just do one side. Dahyun asked the members what she should do too. 170518 M Countdown Pre-recording Fanacc

1.     Chaeng was the first to came out. She bowed and said thank you to Once while coming out. Mina was coughing when she went up to stage

2.     Nayeon was shocked when she saw so many Onces were there and make a heart signal

3.     Chaeng said to herself “I made a mistake again” when she went down from the stage after the first recording

4.     After the second recording, the girls told Onces to go home and rest/sleep quickly since they have to go to work or school later

5.     Mina is really pretty and sexy when she sings her part

6.     At the end, Jeongyeon used a mic (?), thanked Onces for coming, they gained strength and said their expressions changed something like that (T/N: the op forgot this part) after seeing Onces

7.     Chaeng asked Onces if they slept. She frowned and said “She slept” after Onces told her that they didn’t

8.     Nayeon showed off to Once that she slept for 7 hours

9.     Once asked Mina if she is okay. She answered “Erm” cutely, nod her head and gave a thumbs up

 Nayeon “When the fan came to fansign, he said he really want to tell me that when he went to Olympic Hall for Twiceland, grandpa and grandma who walked pass him asked which artist concert he was going to watch. He was really touched when the grandpa and grandma said they know who we are when he answered them ‘Twice’ and I was touched too. I’m still fascinated by the music video’s views and song ranking.  

 Jeongyeon “I like pictorial shooting but for magazine cover, Twice will be on the front page. My mood is good and it’s a matter to be thankful of. I hope everyone will look at it (Laugh) There is beautiful girls like Twice, I will be very happy if someone who doesn’t know us, know us now.”

 Momo “There will be Twice first overseas concert in Singapore and Thailand during April. I’m curious what I’ll feel when meeting the overseas fans. It’s fascinating. I’m anticipating to see what is the difference (between overseas fans and) Korean fans and it’s going to be a fun concert.”

 Sana “I went cycling together with my family when I was young. I fell down and ‘flew out’ like a superman. Everyone literally burst out laughing during that time. Although they came and asked if I’m alright but they couldn’t stop laughing at all. ‘Sana, you’re incredible. You flew out like a superman!’ and I was really angry. (Laugh) I can’t forget that moment.”  

 Jihyo “Before debuted, I’m envious of the singer who stand on the stage as the main character. I wanted to be the main character too but I could only look at the stage as an audience. And therefore the concert is very special this time. I felt (my mood is) somehow strange but extremely happy at the same time. I’m really happy when they said they like my stage when I was guested on Masked King of Singer.”

Mina “There is a word in Ballet. If there is a main character, there is friends. Since it’s a place where it develops and connects the people around, it can’t be completed without them.Likewise, Twice is not a ‘place’ (team) where I can do it by my own and because it’s together with the members, I could become (part of) Twice too.Because of the members, my dream came through, I’m happy and thankful.”

 Dahyun “The fans are really precious. We can only gain energy during the promotion when the fans are there. The pre-recording always starts early in the morning but there are a lot of fans who are from other provinces came too. They always leave positive words in the letter and I gain energy while reading it.”

 Chaeyoung “I really like the lyrics written by me in ‘Precious Love’. ~ I cried until my eyes would be swollen and in pain... And I laughed until I couldn’t breathe anymore... We fought like we were never going to see each other again. And I missed you like you weren’t there anymore~ (Lyrics translation cr: Kpopviral) Although I’m still lacking in experience, but I can remember vividly because I worked hard in writing it down based on my feeling after watching a movie.”

  Tzuyu ‘My mum always gives me a lot of advices and she told me to read many books. To be honest, I’m not good at expressing myself. I might look strong but I’m easily hurt too. My mum told me that there is no perfect people in this world and it’s impossible for everyone to like me.
