THERE’S SOMETHING THAT slips between his lips. a frustrated grunt to match the beat of his hips snapping. one hand had been pressed into the slender curve of her back , pushing the fae deeper into the kitchen counter , the other gripping onto a tangle of blonde hair. astoria could be fucking demanding sometimes that it often drove atlas mad , yet here he was … motivating himself to her sharp words and breathless moans to the quick rhythm of their strict lust. “   fuck , ” he breathed out , his thrusts never faltering. “   always so damn eager. ” the vampire then dropped his voice low. the hand he had against her back slid against her skin until he let it come down harshly against her ass with one fluid clap. “  and so quick to forgot your manners.  ” there went another snap of his hips , this time giving her just a taste of what she was asking for. “ now ,  say please.  ”

“   can we at least do this at my place ?   ”  there was still obvious traces of hatred towards the family manor deeply rooted within the fae. wild horses couldn’t even bring him back there , so this was his compromise for his sister’s simple request. “   I know it won’t make us feel like we’re ten but at least I have a mini bar and good view of the city.   ” which in his opinion were a lot better than the stuffy walls within their jail-cell of home. “   and I want to pick the movies.   ”

Moon was next in line to get the last set of pancakes before they made fresh new ones. She was so excited because she was in love with how the schools cafe made their pancakes. She was also hungry too. While she waited to be next she ate on a few strawberries from her bowl. Once she looked up from her fruit she saw the pancakes were gone and the person in front of her decided to take the whole stack of pancakes. “ Well that’s just effing great! Thanks pancake monster,” she said to the person infront of her giving them abit of a glare. But then realized she needed to settle down. She was just cranky from not eating anything yet. She sighed and shook her head “ I’m sorry…that wasn’t me. I meant enjoy them while you still ca-sorry sorry,” she shook her head.

SHE BARELY ATE in school’s cafe , having limited herself to boozy off-campus hangover brunches and lattes from the nearest coffee shop. only today she actually needed to be in class early and with that came with the downside responsibility of eating here instead of some place that served bottomless mimosas and bloody mary’s. a small stack of pancakes rested on her tray and she was reaching for a plastic syrup container when she heard a voice coming from behind her. everything they were saying was coming out so quick that it was almost comical , but then the gifted human realized they were talking about her and that was enough to make her turn.  allie’s features contorted into a blend of genuine confusion    ― while the girl behind her continued to do ... whatever it is they were doing ( allie’s bet was on them unlocking some other petulant child mode ). “   what did you just call me ?  ” she believed it was pancake monster. “   I mean , chill , they’re just pancakes , not coachella tickets.  ”

andromeda took in the tan skinned woman and a small smirk passed across the witch’s lips. “well, actually, the sassy attitude and the bigger ass were my biggest clues,” she says tauntingly. the woman was gorgeous, there was no denying that. andromeda had broad tastes in physical looks - she really wasn’t picky, but more than anything else she loved some sass. made life more exciting. 

DENINA WASN’T OBLIVIOUS to the effect she had on people just based on her appearance. it was one of the reasons why her confidence was so high , she knew how people saw her. and beauty was just as powerful as strength when it came to her previous profession ( she could could have the guiltiest snakes within her grasp singing like a canary with only batted lashes and a little lace ).  she just never expected for a reaction to be as blatant as the figure in front of her had just displayed. “  is everyone in this school as forward as you ?  ” she was teasing , leaning on her desk as she settled her suspicions with one lean leg peaking out of her pencil skirt to cross over the other. “   I guess if you’re going to stand around and utter compliments , you might as well tell me your name.  ”

beau was always polite and patient. two things that had been instilled in him from a very young age. he was never really in any rush. he was metlicious and planned well, so there was never really reason to hurry. turning over his shoulder to look at the face the voice had come from, his face twists a little into a confused look. “you can definitely fit to move around me if you’re in a hurry,” he shrugs, carrying a pretty big stack of freshly delivered books. he wasn’t the strongest witch ever and the weight was definitely slowing him more than normal. 

HE WASN’T ONE for smart commentary , but once you’ve lived as long as raphael has , you sort of become accustom to it since it seemed to be a common reflex among those who weren’t keen on familiarity with him. he was a vampire and he was damn hard to kill. that alone was enough to fuel his ego to be arguably one the worst in existence , though he was choosing to let all his negative energy be fueled elsewhere. for later , he told himself. and while it would have been nothing for him to knock all the books down in the other’s hand , raphael decided on word play and continued to wait while the other struggled. “ I could also remove you to make this process easier on the both of us. ” he answered back smoothly , eyeing the books over briefly.  it wasn't exactly a threat , but it certainly could be. “ shouldn’t someone be helping you ? " honestly , anyone could have done this faster , he’s sure of it.

seraphina had never met the blonde before, but she looked vaguely familiar. “sure, yeah,” she nods a little, digging into her bag beside her, blonde tresses falling in her face as she looks. after a moment of searching, she pulls a black pen out and hands it to the girl. “i’m not obsessive about my pens. consider that one a gift,” she says with a small laughing smile. “this class is terribly boring,” she admits, with a nod, tucking some of the hair behind her ear. “i just can’t focus. eventually it’s just this droning sound coming from his lips like a white noise machine,” she jokes. 

“   you’re a life-saver , seriously.  ” allie stopped her struggle with her bag to take the pen , making sure the motion was swift so her cold fingers wouldn’t linger for long. “   and I know. it’s like , why should I care about warfare when I’m barely passing combat.  ” it wasn’t as if the gift human was going to be attending any various battles that needed strategic planning anytime soon. if she needed help on understanding the mechanics of it all , she’d pop open game of thrones and watch battle of the bastards. at least then she’d be able to see the appeal ( kit harington’s short , but he’s hot. she’s blames it on her preference for brunettes ). “   I’m allie , by the way.  ”

for some reason lola was having a really good day. it wasn’t that she was miserable most of the time, it was just that she wasn’t overly happy too often but today was one of those days. she was practically bouncing around the dorm, just wanting to get out and do something. “danny. come on, let’s go somewhere, do something. it’s such a beautiful day. pretty please? i’ll owe you one, come on.”

“   ― yeah ? and do what ?   ” the shifter was all for having a good time. it was may , the weather was warm , and sage was out of sight. he had stolen the fae’s ice cream and was leaned over the counter with it , a spoon making dents into the pint that weren’t there before. he figured if the girl complained about it when she got back that he’d cover it with a few bucks. or just flat out lie about it when the time came. a lazy smirk painted on his features once lola was close enough. “   what’s got you so chipper , anyways ?   ” the hand that held the spoon raised , one solitary finger pointing upwards once he realized something to tease her with. “   wait , let me guess. you had someone over last night for a little puppy-lovin’ ?  ”

mercury always walked around like he had a million and one problems, maybe he did. his childhood had fucked him up for life and he knew he’d never be normal again. it was something that only his siblings could understand and then then - none of them really understood him. nobody did. the person he felt knew him the most was mikey, which still felt weird to him. “hey brother.” mercury greeted, walking into mikey’s place. he’d always been good at getting into things. him being a troublemaker as a child meant he could break into pretty much anywhere he wanted to.

FAMILIES WERE COMPLICATED. and the fae knew that thanks to the experience that was given unwillingly to him by cain , though he didn’t have much to compare it to. he just knew that families weren’t supposed to be as messed up as his. he also knew that other families had a required a sense of privacy that his apparently seemed to lack. not that he minded when his siblings barged into his place , he was used to it by now , but would a text kill them ? maybe a ring on the doorbell so he could at least make himself decent instead of spilling out his bedroom in nothing but nike sweats and socks. “  you know , there’s this thing called breaking and entering,   ” his voice was groggy as he greeted the other in typical brotherly fashion and listing off negative notions. “  pretty sure it’s illegal. frowned upon. discouraged.   ”

Aslyn could see the disturbance and she swooped in. Linking arms with Raphael she went to steer him away and into a different direction. “Can I have a word with you? I won’t be long. It’s that or chat at Pulse but it’s pretty loud in there,” she explained while they walked. The young witch was encroaching on things she probably would have heard a stern talking to about from her father but since he was non existent.

EXTRACTING HIMSELF FROM being linked arm and arm with a student wasn’t as easy of a task as one would imagine , not locking eyes with them but the assumed camaraderie and the voice that followed it was enough to identify her. a roma witch. aslyn , or something , if memory served him correctly. if raphael had it his way , the connection between the two would have always stayed at a distance , but their situation was complicated. he unlinked himself from her , and readjusted himself outside of an empty classroom by smoothing a hand over the navy material that made up his blazer. “   you have twenty minutes.  ” and he hoped whatever she had to say was going to be worth the detour in his plans for the day.

Aslyn could respect a topic change as she watched him take a seat. He seemed better once the topic deviated from that one and she let it go. Whatever was going on wasn’t her business anyway. “It’s not a pretty answer,” she started. “I got spooked when shit hit the fan and I ran more or less. Super cowardly. I regret it.”

“ can’t be that cowardly if you came back. ” he shrugged off with full nonchalance as he let the plastic of the blood-bag in hand hit his lips so he could swallow thickly. the vampire was just trying to make light of her situation , whatever it actually was. ruby liquid dribbled at the corners of his mouth and he used the pad of his thumb to wipe it away once he was ready to continue their conversation. “   if you come back to something that used to spook you , wouldn’t that make you somewhat brave ?   ” he wasn’t a philosopher when it came to this shit but he was sure there was at least some truth behind his words. “   you didn’t stay away , that should count for something , right ?   ”
