The end of the story isn’t the ship leaving for the West, it’s Sam coming home to Bag End. The wonderful thing in Middle Earth isn’t what is lost, it’s what remains, what is saved.

searching for a pen pal/editor

hiya!! i’ve been making a lot of octopath-related headcanons and theories lately but i’m kinda struggling with writing any of them down in a concise way and keeping things organized so i thought i’d try looking for help here?

like, right now i’m sitting on a pile of about 20 unedited document pages (including spreadsheets) and i still feel like i’m nowhere near done with the majority of those projects (it’s all very chaotic and messy and the amount of stuff is probably going to double if i keep on adding more at this rate)  

in other words- i’m in dire need of someone who’d be willing to listen and assist me with putting all my different thoughts in order and compiling them in a readable format because oh boy,, it’s a lot and i’ve currently got no idea how i’m supposed to handle it alone–

i’d be extremely grateful if someone would be willing to sit down with me and go through everything i’ve gathered so far + i’m absolutely ready to add, remove or change stuff based on suggestions! (also looking forward to meeting new people and willing to share my discord as well)

So I went to an art exhibit recently, a collection of Native American art from pre-colonial times to the present. As you might guess, there were a few pieces whose artist was lost to time or erased. But instead of the usual “artist unknown” credit, the curators instead chose to label the artists as “Name Once Known”.

I think that’s amazing. It says, “we don’t know your name any longer; we’ll never know who you were, exactly. But you were a person once, and you mattered. You had a name, and you were loved, you had a life, and you made this art. And that means something. Your name was once known.”
