Lovers who cant comprehend their feelings so they enter a friendly rivalry that is so violent because it's charged by raw homoerotic energy they have to bottle up due to personal conviction (Bebop focusing on his creators illness, Lash focused on his EGO) They have no outlet for the desire they have for each other, which makes Lash wanna turn Bebop into a puddle of tar... yes, this will lead to the most gut-wrenching, heart breaking angst-fueled rain scene where they are crying (leaking oil from their eyes?) and screaming at each other about their love
