Well this aged poorly.

I am in *tears*, that was quintessential Doctor Who, RTD2 is off to a great start 🥹 And Murray Gold being back? My heart is happy 😊

I’m honestly not sure about watching the next series of Doctor Who. Ncuti was so disrespected between David Tennant (as much as I love the man as the Doctor) overshadowing his entrance and now Billie Piper is overshadowing his exit!! Everything I’m seeing about the finale is about Billie! Ncuti deserved better. Never even went up against Daleks or the Cybermen and I believe was the only Doctor to not do so?? If Disney hadn’t taken so long to renew then we might have gotten a series 3 with 15 that wrapped up all his storylines better instead of the convoluted mess of a finale that we got. Poor Belinda got shoved in a box for most of the episode?? And now is suddenly a mom when she expressed no desire to be a mother beforehand??

Now I will say the whole thing with Poppy had me sobbing. The Doctor so desperately wanted her to be his, from his first “I wish” back in Space Babies, and trying so hard to keep her real when the wish world was erased. The scene when Ruby is insisting on Poppy being real after she disappears had me crying my eyes out, and then all the effort and regeneration energy the Doctor puts into shifting the timeline only to bring Poppy back and she’s not his??? Broke my heart. As a mother I could not imagine a world where my daughter existed but wasn’t mine. So RTD is still great at tugging the heartstrings if anything. But the ending nearly made me throw my phone.

(Oh and 13 coming back for a scene had me squealing!! I loved her so much but hated the stories she got)

(And the Rani’s actress was WASTED!! I loved every moment she was on screen and then she just gets eaten by Omega??? What the fuck???!!!)

Anyway I think I’m done ranting. For now. I’m going to go cry again.
