By the time I turned 36, I was still not done with school and decided instead to come back to Korea and go into the film industry. I was the most recent one to enter the film world, so I first started by picking up cigarette butts. I didn’t have any money, so I canceled my apartment contract and took the security deposit to film a movie. Fortunately, my movie was selected for the Busan International Film Festival. However I didn’t have anyone to do public relations for my movie, so I came out here like this on my own.” “I’ve actually never seen a movie director advertising his own film in the streets like this.” “Really?
