She scowled at him, gritting her teeth before popping her deep red lips. The detective pulled the cover over the body once more and pushed him back into his proper resting place. "A thousand people can die for all I care." She murmured, "Alright, sweetheart, I'll humor ya. There was indeed a full moon last night-- but wouldn't there have been some reports of a giant wolf running around?" She was still trying to suppress her bubbling anger and irritation. The god always had a way of getting under her skin.

".....oh ya have got to be joking." The body lay all but forgotten as she turned her gaze to the trickster. It was followed by a quick shake of the head. "They don't exist." Of course. It did not matter what cases of the supernatural Athena had dealt with before, if it were another's opinion (aside from Mitch) it was most likely tossed aside. "Some up an comin' artist probably tryed on some Wolverine claws and decided to have a little fun, nothin' more." Well that was stupid.

Blue, eyeliner caked eyes flickered up to the god, then down to the body. It was strange now-- how she acted seemingly unphased by the other's presence. 

"While I'm guessing itd be incredibly foolish to assume it was your son what you're suggesting is just as foolish." Her faintly freckled nose wrinkled up in a childish manner, "Too large to be any breed of wolf within a thousand miles of this place. Please don't tell me it's mythological I've dealt with enough of that shit already." 

Gods. Mutants. The Boogeyman. Vampires. While Athena was easy to convince she needed more physical proof than what could easily be just a killers sick attempt at amusement. 

"How long ya been stalkin' me for, sweetheart?" Her slightly irritated gaze turned back down to the body.

"Besides my own sweet ass body? Mmm, nope. Ya got a name, purty?"

  "My, my, I was about to ask you the same thing!" He chuckled, watching the peculiar young woman. "Got any sweet offers?”

The body was not like she had seen before. Mauled-- mangled-- torn. 

Athena poked at it rather childishly with the blunt end of a pencil, brows furrowed in thought. "I have no idea." She murmured finally. 

"Something new for you, isn't it?" Came her sidekicks rather amused tone, warning the chemist a smack upside the head. 

The detective went back to looking at the body. "Go get the bimbo. You're late for your date." With a nudge of her elbow she dismissed Mitch, who gave a huff and the roll of the eyes before slipping out of the morgue. 

This wasn't natural. No man could do this no matter how mad they were. 

"The way the scratches travel down-- stop-- looks like bite marks-- large dog but too large for wolf. Only wolves would be at the zoo unless counting the illegally possessed one five apartment complexes down--" The rambling continued. Thinking it was nothing but her and the dead body.

Athena popped her overly glossed lips, "'M gonna go with you actually, secertly, deep down-ly, love doin' that and say I missed ya too and give ya a big ol' hug, how's that?"

"Hey, chickadee! Ya miss me~?"

“‘Bout as much as I missed havin’ t’ train the new recruits.”

She dug the badge from her jacket pocket, flashing it quickly. "Detective Inspector and I'm afraid the rest is top secret." Her lips only curved upwards further.

  “What kinda work, love?” James asked, running a hand through his unruly brown hair. He pushed his glasses further up on his nose.

The detective's blood red tinted lips curled upwards easily. "You flatter me, sweetheart, but I'm here for work."
