This is Franklin the turtle. He is involved in a children's book series where the readers learn about his different adventures. This book in particular talks about Franklin talking too his neighbors and the people he surrounds himself with. Here at the very end, Franklin talks about how his favorite part about his neighborhood being the neighbors themselves. While I never read much of the Franklin books during my childhood, just seeing this book in the juvenile section of the library did indeed remind me of it. It brought me feelings of nostalgia and comfort knowing books that were so common when I was a kid are still likely being read by children today. I am also quite fond of the art style. The simple warm colors and softness of the characters of the book is very nice. I know it as one of the best art styles in children books at this time.

Monster Hunter: Wilds is a game where the player is a hunter with a large arsenal of creative weapons to choose from that are used to hunt down incredibly large, and intimidating monsters. When these monsters are slain, the parts collected from them can be used to create both weapons and armor, unique to the monster the parts came from. This specific armor set shown is from the Lala Barina, a very large, white spider with an abdomen that looks like a rose, throwing out red paralyzing particles. The armor reflects the grace of the monster by using the color of its abdomen, legs, and has petal details similar to the rose. A lot of detail goes into the many armor sets similar to the respective monster, from the color to even how intimidating they are. The designs of each armor set is so diverse, I imagine there is a set that fits everyone's preference.

Percy Jackson is a book series that follows the story of a young, demi-god boy who must continuously go on world saving quests. This world revolves around Greek mythology, and as a child of Poseidon, Percy has abilities that revolve around the sea. This ability along with his heritage is highlighted in the cover of the first book in the series. The art for the covers of the Percy Jackson as well as the Heroes of Olympus series do an incredible job of showing the unfortunate and harrowing experiences the children in these books are forced to endure, but the first cover here is one of my favorites. This cover sets up the rest of the series well by showcasing a young hero faced with uncertainty. This is done mainly with cooler and darker tones to give that melancholic vibe. I also really enjoy the dynamic in some of the other covers showing gigantic beasts towering over our protagonists.

For the color walk I have two images in different settings I really liked. First is the dirt path right outside of the agriculture building. This small path is surrounded by shrubs, greenery, rocks, and has a tree. The setting is very quaint and peaceful, allowing something simple for students or people passing by to enjoy, even for a short moment. It's a similar vibe to jumping over a small puddle or quickly playing hopscotch that was etched on the sidewalk as you walk through. It can also be used as a place to relax as seen by the benches near the end of the path in the front of the building. The second image is two plants, a ponytail palm located on the 3rd floor and a larger plant located on the stairs leading to the 3rd floor. This picture really highlights the versatility of plants in general. One plant being relatively short with only long leaves, and then in contrast a very large plant with a red flower on top. It also shows the use of plants to capture people's attention when it comes to decoration, mainly because of how much these two plants caught my eye.

Marvel Rivals is a 3rd person team based video game that centers around characters from Marvel comics. The game itself has been a favorite of mine since its release, not only because of the gameplay, but also because of the incredible art style. instead of copying designs from the comics and pasting them into the 3d style, the character designers instead created their very own designs, either unique from the comics completely or simply taking inspiration from already existing ideas. Some of my favorite takes on characters are shown above. From top the bottom is Magik, Mantis, Scarlet Witch, Adam Warlock, and Hela. Each character, even besides the ones shown, have designs that highlight the character's abilities, such as Mantis having plant based powers or Adam's light based abilities. The artists do an amazing job at portraying the characters, including their alternate cosmetics in the game. My favorite character, both in design and gameplay, is the character, Magik. Magik is a mutant girl who weilds a sword and has the ability to transport through the realm known as Limbo, have demons fight alongside her, and transform into a demon herself called Darkchylde. This can be seen right below the middle of the image, where a creature with large red horns can be seen. Speaking of this image, it does incredible work showcasing a selection of characters with the artstyle.

This is a white tulip. White tulips are commonly seen as symbols of innocence. I have always really liked flowers and have been meaning to get around to growing some. There are many beautiful and elegant flowers that are loved by many such as spider lilies or bleeding heart flowers, but white tulips are flowers that I have always admired for their simplicity. Something about the flower is always so calming. I also have especially liked it from a story standpoint. Since many plants such as this one hold special meaning, they can be used in association with a character to compliment that character's personality, or reveal something about them later. An example of this would be from the games, Pokemon Sword and Shield. There are two characters named Rose and Peony. Rose is a business man adored by many but has harmful desires, while his brother, Peony, is a much kinder man. Their personalities stem from their names. Even beautiful roses have their thorns much like the character's harmful nature shadowed by his charisma, and peonies are considered thorn-less roses, complimenting the kindness of the character while highlighting his relationship to Rose. In the case of white tulips, it would be interesting to seem them used as foreshadowing for a story centered around mystery. A character associated with the flower could be a culprit in the mystery but end up innocent, a trait that revealed earlier by their association with the flower of innocence.

This is the title screen for the game, Hades. A roguelike dungeon crawler based off of Greek mythology. In this game you play as Zagreus, son of Hades, and continuously attempt to escape The Underworld with the aid of the gods of the surface. With each failed attempt, you start over almost completely. The title screen itself does a good job of highlighting the mechanics of this game, defeat powerful beings in a hellish environment, but this game is a lot more than that. This game is unique in its incredibly diverse playthrough, with every failed attempt, the path to freedom has a chance of being vastly different. The biggest differences being the change in mini-bosses, and large changes in the main bosses that can catch the player off guard. But what makes this game really stand out is its incredible art direction and vast character dialogue. The art for this game is outstanding, both in character and level design. Each character has a color palette fit to them, and each levels background highlights special attributes. This can be seen in the examples at the top showing the goddess of the harvest, Demeter, and the section of the underworld dedicated to champions, Elysium. As for dialogue, with each run of the game, your character can collect a "boon", a direct line to the gods above that'll grant you power to help you escape the underworld. With each boon, especially early on, there is always a different dialogue given by the specific god. The gods will also sometimes directly interact with other gods, or point out events that happened in your previous failed run. There was so much voiced dialogue, I don't think I ever got a repeated voice line until after I first completed the game. Overall, there was a lot of care put into this game, and the title screen sets the player up for things to look forward to in the game.

I could not decide on which image to use for this specific post, so I decided to use both. Both images depict the Pokemon known as Gardevoir. Gardevoir is a Pokemon introduced in the third generation of Pokemon games, and is loved by many of the fans. The Pokemon cards shown are both from the Pokemon Trading Card Game set, Paldean Fates, and each highlight specific attributes of Gardevoir that makes it one of my favorite Pokemon of all time. The first card in specific shows a Shiny Gardevoir. Shiny Pokemon are incredibly rare alterations of Pokemon with a different color scheme than the original. This first card shows the Gardevoir dancing in a beautiful moonlit lake. This highlights the creature's elegant design, a flowing gown coupled with the smoothness of its movement, arms, and head. This card perfectly captures Gardevoir's grace, something that makes it a beloved Pokemon. The second card on the other hand, highlights Gardevoir's personality. In the games, Gardevoir is described as an incredibly loyal Pokemon, strong enough to create black holes and even put its life on the line, or sacrificing itself, in order to protect its trainer. Side note, whenever I have a Gardevoir in the games, I'll always nickname it "Andromeda". One, its the name of a nearby galaxy with a supermassive black hole in the middle, two, Andromeda is the name of a princess in Greek mythology that follows a story of loyalty and sacrifice, and three, its the name of one of my favorite, considerably elegant, songs. Anyway, this card follows two other cards showcasing Gardevoir's earlier evolutionary stages, all helping their owner knit. This describes the Pokemon's immense love and loyalty, encasing itself as a beautiful Pokemon with a beautiful story.

Titanic Rising is an album by Weyes Blood is an album centered around romantic pursuits, loving, and living life even in the face of hopelessness. I believe the album cover really reflects the elegance of the showcased tracks. It showcases a woman floating around in a bedroom submerged in water, with an almost heavenly light shining through the window. Songs from the album such as Andromeda, Something To Believe, and A Lot's Gonna Change highlight the feeling that the album cover gives, they make the listener feel as if they were floating, especially through the beautiful harmonies. The photo was apparently taken in a pool, and Weyes Blood describes the place as a safe and imaginative place. Many other pictures were taken in the same area, all with similar vibes showing Weyes Blood interacting with the room's environment. The image not only show's the room's beauty, but it also displays the elegance of the human form.

This is one of the most strangely touching shots from the movie Everything Everywhere All at Once. This movie follows Evelyn, a woman who learns about technology that can allow her to borrow abilities from another life time, and even shift her consciousness to another reality. In a scene before, the characters Evelyn and Jobu Tupaki are transported to a world where they are rocks, this is where Jobu continues to tell Evelyn of her nihilistic viewpoint, seeing everything as pointless and saying, "Every new discovery is just a reminder-", and gets cut off by Evelyn saying, "We're all small & stupid." However in this image, from a scene that happens later after Evelyn discovers a different way to live life, she flips Jobu's idea around, pointing out that since nothing matters, everything that happens is of equal importance. Jobu points out that since Evelyn is a rock in this scene and shouldn't be able to move, Evelyn turns around with googly eyes and says, "There are no rules!"
