AAAAA HELLO! I'm sorry for answering this so late! Finally, some answers :)

Question 14

Dirk is not deeply concerned with his image, but really hopes that other people see him as wise, intelligent, curious, and deeply familiar + skilled w/ the arcane. Thankfully for him, in this regard, his actual image is very similar to the one he hopes to project.

There are also aspects of his actual image that he doesn't necessarily like. Before he somewhat unintentionally ascended to the seat of power of the arcane order he leads, he had a duel with a malicious actor in the order who was seeking that power for themselves. He lost an eye, but won the duel, the power, and a reputation as someone with great integrity and courage in battle. He doesn't object to the notion of him having great integrity, as he really does aspire to that. However, he does have a bone to pick with those who admire him for his combat skills—he recognizes the necessity for physical conflict, but strongly prefers solving problems through more peaceful means.

More neutrally, Dirk is often simply seen as eccentric. He embraces this reputation, considering he wouldn't quite be himself if he didn't do all the things that won him that description.

Dirk is definitely on the warm and personable side. He loves to communicate and connect in any way he can, something that can be seen through the sheer number of languages he's familiar with. He does like to hole up in his study, but eventually, the solitude drives him up the wall and he has to interact with others.

Question 25

I absolutely love Dirk's sense of wonder and his curiosity about everything around him. He never became disillusioned or fell out of love with the world. Instead, he learned more and more, and will always be pursuing a greater understanding of the beauty of being alive.

Just finished a thingy of my OCs Otto and Gerlach (both he/him)!

A moment of calm, but only just that—the recent peace on their homeworld still necessitates a lot of work for these old warriors. Even while in uniform, Gerlach is still wearing his favorite scarf, a gift given to him by Otto decades ago.

It's not perfect but I'm quite happy with it :)

Springtime Symbolism OC Questions.

A little list of OC questions based on Spring Symbolism in North West European Heraldry. Obviously many of these things have different symbolic meanings in different cultures and have had different associations at different points in history - this list is intended more for diversion than serious historical analysis.

Green Leaves and Blossoms - The Promise of Renewal.

Does your OC hold onto hope for a better future? For themselves? For those they love? Or for their society?

Has your OC ever made a conscious decision to make a fresh start? Or have they even reinvented themselves completely? What did they hope to leave behind? Was it truly possible to do so?

Is your OC skilled in repairing or rebuilding what is broken or worn? Or would they sooner dispose of something and replace it with something new and (perhaps) better?

Does your OC find their moods affected by the seasons? Do they struggle more during colder and darker months? Or do they find unique pleasure in each season?

What would social or cultural renewal mean to your OC? A return to a previous golden age of freedom, tradition or peace? Or a fresh beginning for society into something new and enhanced?
