Wtf if you have a super powered rig then you should want shit to be optimized so that money doesn’t get wasted on software that SHOULD run flawless on some guys shitpad but is instead chugging along on your PC.

My solution for bloatware is this: by law you should hire in every programming team someone who is Like, A Guy who has a crappy laptop with 4GB and an integrated graphics card, no scratch that, 2 GB of RAM, and a rural internet connection. And every time someone in your team proposes to add shit like NPCs with visible pores or ray tracing or all the bloatware that Windows, Adobe, etc. are doing now, they have to come back and try your project in the Guy's laptop and answer to him. He is allowed to insult you and humilliate you if it doesn't work in his laptop, and you should by law apologize and optimize it for him. If you try to put any kind of DRM or permanent internet connection, he is legally allowed to shoot you.

With about 5 or 10 years of that, we will fix the world.

Ok. all this is fun and nice but a big reason vegans don’t eat honey is that honeybees displace native bee populations. Obviously talking about where honeybees aren’t native, like here in North America, like here in San Diego county where we have 650 native species of bees!

also.. i think vegans are aware beekeeping doesn’t literally kill bees (despite the strawmans in this post). simply put, the core principle of veganism is trying not to participate in animal exploitation, and (while im keenly aware beekeeping doesnt always harm and can benefit bees) includes beekeeping.

One of the most life-changing things I ever learned came from Mythbusters, where they tested and proved (with cognitive testing puzzles and reaction time tests) that lying down and resting with the intention to sleep STILL provided significant mental benefits over just staying awake, even if a person couldn’t fall asleep in the amount of time they had. 

It helps me to actually sleep to know that just lying down with my eyes closed is still doing me some good, and helps me to not freak out/beat myself up when I stay up later than intended. Any amount of rest is better than no rest!
