Stolen Moments (Black Hat x Demencia)

(Inspired by the recent revelation about Demencia potentially stealing kisses from BH)

He knew she would come to him yet again.

Black Hat stood pensively and wondered why he had been allowing (or rather tolerating) these recent nightly encounters. Mostly he blamed it on the mixture of boredom and morbid curiosity, convincing himself that he derived no pleasure from it whatsoever.

Covert and hidden moments, brief seconds of stolen kisses, the maddening rush that came along with it, he would pretend none of it had even happened. However, he could not deny his triumphant grin each time he saw Demencia approach. It was the thrill of possessing the concept that she represented, the power that radiated from her.

He could feel her presence long before she was even in sight, he could taste her madness, he could recognize the rhythm of her heart, his sweet executioner, his bitter blessing. She was a deadly and marvellous being, slithering danger, a beautiful whisper of death. His giggling messenger of doom, his pride, his efficient weapon. A mad Maenad singing of her eternal allegiance to his dark power.

When she finally arrived, he gave her a stern look.

“Took you long enough.”

She merely giggled, teasing him.

“You’re adorable when you complain about everything.”

“Do not forget your place, Demencia.”

“Why don’t you come here and help me remember?”

He smirked, shrouding her in his shadows, pulling her close, concealing their delights from the world. None should dare witness the private moments of monsters. His claws sought to grasp her, his lips sought to demonstrate a wicked passion only a demon could possess. In these moments, he lusted after what she represented. Destruction, power, death, glory, all of it, here he could kiss and caress Chaos itself. Demencia’s joy knew no limit. 

And in these stolen seconds of the night, the kisses stay hidden, for he shall never tell, and neither shall she.
