A week! I will have checked in and be living in my apartment at Disney in a week! That is crazy! I can’t believe it, but I kind of have to right, what with all of the things I’ve packed and the itinerary in my email along with every other thing Disney has sent... This is going to be my life for at least six months. I know what you’re thinking, “Did she say itinerary in her email?" Why yes, yes I did! I received my itinerary earlier today and was told my location and my housing complex, and honestly, I couldn’t be much more pleased than I am with both of them! Still, Il have things to iron out, though with the housing, considering I won’t know who or how many I'm living with until Check In has come and past, little scary, but I’ll survive. Just hoping I don’t get a bunk bed, but we’ll see. Hopefully the bunk bed is stable to climb into, seriously. Anyway, I’m sure you’d like to know where I was placed, and maybe have been waiting since you started reading, so drum roll please...

Frontierland! As posted earlier with the tag *landofmyown, cluing you in, I have been placed in Frontierland in Magic Kingdom! So you can catch me do-si-doing around the stores tucked away in the wild frontier, maybe at the local watering hole, maybe after you just got Splashed, who knows? All I know is there are a myriad of places I could be working and many things I could be doing which is super exciting! Oh! And I wil be living in Chatham which was my second choice as far as buildings go! And that means I could be living ( based on linking with two toher ladies ) in a 1 bedroom 3 person, 2 bedroom 6 person, 3 bedroom 6 person, or 4 bedroom 8 person. Fingers crossed for the double occupancy or at least the singular triple occupancy, but can’t complain too much either way -- though who wants a bunk bed, really. However, all that matters is I will be there and if that has to be in a bunk bed then so be t!

Moving on to other things, other things being what I have left to do here in Indiana before I leave... I still have five weeks of classwork to get done. Yuck. Hopefully I get most of it done before I leave so that I can just finish it the first week and not have to worry anymore. Pray for me. As far as packing, though, I’m fifty percent packed into the tubs and et cetera, everything will go into the car Thursday and / or Friday. And beside that I just have the lauundry to do for packing and the internet catch ups with writing. It’s a lot but I have most of four days to do it, so good vibes would be great and positive energy... Or just energy in general, your girl could use it. Maybe it’ll help my currently tweaked foot. Who knows, really. Anyway, I think that’s it! I’ll see you guys next week. Adios!

*:･ﾟ✧ °O° Stand Out ( Jan 22 )

I am screaming! Everything is happening so fast! I am officially two weeks away from move in, apps for fall have dropped, so y’all need to get on that and apply so that maybe you can meet me. Anyway, I went shopping Saturday, still have more things to buy, but I’m maybe a third of the way through packing which is awesome. I’m just worried about everythng fitting in the car. Might mean I leave my carpet behind or have to rearrange things to minimize the number of tubs and et cetera. Anyway, I’ll have everything packed and in the car by next Thursday night so that I don’t have to worry about it when my mom and dad get home from work next Friday ( before we drop off my sister and head to my grandma’s house three hours south of us ). As far as things I have to do, still a lot. Have to finish that packing, catch up on my writing tumblr, and finish all of my homework so I don’t have to do it in Florida. All of that takes time. Thank God I only work today, Thursday, and Friday this week, then not at all next week since Friday's my last day. So glad I didnt try to work that last week. I would have felt so chaotic. Everything by themselves is easy enough, it’s the time they all take that’s the issue. But! I’ll figure it out. Can’t wait to get my itinerary in a week, though! Man, my life is about to begin. Yay! ‘Til then!

When I forget a line to a Disney song...

*:･ﾟ✧ °O° I Just Can’t Wait to Be King ( Jan 15 )

We’re just going to pretend I make my posts on time every week even when I post them late but do the Monday date because hey maybe it’s just for the week of that Monday, right? Lol anyway, a lot happened this Monday. It caused a major freak out on some people’s part, minor inconveniences on others... It was rough, but my group of roommates got through it. What is it you might be asking? Well, that’s housing. And housing when they don’t give you the number of links you wanted.

We kind of expected this would happen, but we hoped it wouldn’t. It’s hard when you’re the last arrival date until quarters’ arrival dates. Anyway, we had to split our six person group in half and then make more choices toward houing than before since as three we could be placed in 5 person, 4 person, or 3 person apartments beside the 6 or 8′s that we expceted as six people. Luckily, it was easy enough to split us based around who was on the computer and messaging at the time we received the messages and who wasn’t.

Kind of dreading getting a 6 person room or 8 person room now since it could end up being not us 6 and then I wouldn’t know half or even more of the people I’m roomed with, but it is what it is, unfortunately. We’ll see what happens, I guess, but at least I have Jacki and Mer to enjoy living with almost for sure, since they do try to keep you with your link. But still. And if it’s just the three of us, I’d rather have a 1 bed, 3 person or 2 bed, 4 person to be honest. However, I’ll roll with however it goes. Fingers crossed it works out, though!

Moving on, I did get my New Hire Paperwork not too many days after last post, and that took an hour’s time to do but was finished with ease, so that’s always nice and definitely good! I was glad I got it before work that day when everyone else was getting it sooner and some way later apparently -- it would have driven me crazy all shift not to be able to do it. 

So the big steps I was waiting for are all done now, now it’s just waiting on the itinerary that will come in about two weeks while I pack and worry about what I have to do here rather than what I have to do there, like my schoolwork I want to finish before the deadline so I don’t have to do it while I’m there.

It’s a long to do list, but I’ll get it done. Just have to do it. So pray for me, give me motivation, whatever. I’m just happy I’m moving forward, my life is beginning this is good. And I can’t wait for more! ‘Til next update. See you, then, and have a magical day!

*:･ﾟ✧ °O° Why Should I Worry ( Jan 08 )

Today, I’ve noticed a trend -- in myself and other dcpers. We’re all worried about something, anxious and tweeting or anxious and just a little bit impatient to move forward in the process. As mentioned by many, the DCP is just a big waiting game until you get there, from waiting for apps to waiting to be moved from Applied, then to waiting for acceptance and waiting for the program, and then it flies by and you have to wait to go back. See? Lots of waiting. I, and my roommates, for one, am waiting on the New Hire Paperwork. We are now four weeks from arrival and in this three to four weeks we are supposed to receive that part, then we are to receive housing at the two to three week mark. The count down and readying is all a tizzy and I can’t complain even though I am just as anxious as the others to get there. The best kind of anxiety for me, honestly. But, oh yeah, waitng is hard when you do not have much to do in a day.

But the news isn’t all waiting, I actually have some moving forward... Just not with that. Today we were able to sign up for a second class ( or two if we had none via the waitlist and people’s dropping of clases ), so I signed up for of course the most sought after class and the other in my top two that I just HAD to take. Need I say it? Probably not, but I still will! I enrolled in Disney Heritage! I’ll be in the class alongide three of my ( hopeful ) roommates and I could not be more excited. I have only heard great things about it. After all, who doesn’t want to learn Disney History? 

Beside that, I’ve started packing. Lightly of course, can’t pack everything yet, but I can pack the bedding I am bringing since it’s new and just has to be washed first. Then my towels and some bathroom items. It’s coming along nicely that being said! Next week more should be done, fingers crossed. ‘Til then, though. Ta ta for now!

*:･ﾟ✧ °O° When Will My Life Begin ( Jan 01 )

Yes, yes, yes. It’s not the first. Yes, yes, I’m late I’m late, I’m late for a very important date, but you must forgive me. Both Mondays were holidays that I missed these two weeks. How was I supposed to write then? Anyway, not much has happened anyway. At least on the DCP front. Of course Christmas happened, and of course I received Disney gifts. It never fails, but I suppose my favorite gift ( beside being n the DCP wich came early ), is my Neverland Spirit Jersey. That’s right, that style we all know and love has a Peter Pan version and I got it for Christmas. I can’t wait to wear it on Arrival day since you know, it’ll be the 65th anniversary of the release of Disney’s Peter Pan ( the animated one, of course ), and it will be comfy to move everything into my apartment with. Comfy and not too warm as we walk in and out and perhaps up ( and down ) some stairs. That being said, as it is the 4th and not the 1st as I write this, tomorrow it is month until I move in which means I should get at least the month arrival email if not more from Recruiting, yay! And today I can book my hotel on the way down with the points we hav to do so. Important steps. Important steps. I am counting the days and glad I have work for part of the distraction and school for the other. It is crunch time. Glad to have you here for the journey. I’ll keep giving you updates, and we’ll see when my life begins ( soon )!

*:･ﾟ✧ °O° Every Turn I Take ( Dec 18 )

You know, some days, it feels like all I can talk about is Disney. I love bringing it up at work when it permits, for instance when a customer has a Disney Dooney or a Disney sweatshirt or something Disney on. Sometimes it’s about the program, sometimes it’s about the parks or a ride or the vacation club. I just hope I’m not driving my family crazy, but even so what am I going to do, stop? Not easy. However, they haven’t asked me to so I think I’m fine! Anyway, today, the January 16th arrivals were able to sign up for housing and that means in about three weeks I should have my own. Hopefully I can connect with all my roommates! I’ve been wordy lately with long entries here, but today I just don’t have much to say other than that and how crazy it is that it’s only a week until Christmas and 49 days ( including today -- the 18th ) until check in. 49 days! And that’s 46 days until we leave to stay at my grandma’s before driving to Atlanta then arriving to Florida that Sunday. It’s so so close. So close. I can’t believe. Anyway. That’s it for now. *:･ﾟ✧ °O° A Dream is a Wish ( Dec 11 ) 

Hey guys!!! Another week has passed in this whole journey and that means more pieces of my life have been falling into place in this puzzle of sorts, not to get too metaphorical or out there for you. Really, not too much has happened, had a couple emails from Disney which like I said before was things I would already have access to ( and I did ), but still, it started the ball rolling and as every email comes and every week passes this dream I’ve had for years, honestly, has become more and more of a reality. It’s sinking in that I get to spend six months ( for sure ) of my life at the Most Magical Place on Earth, and even though it’s sinking in, I still don’t know how to take it. It makes me speechless, it makes me grin, and it makes me long for the future where I get to do so and never leave like I will have to after this journey comes to an end as each time will be a little different for a myriad of reasons. Anyway, life, at least DCP life has been uneventful, still will be, at least until after Christmas I believe, since I don’t think I will see an email again until after Christmas, one being about classes and one being about signing up for housing and when that opens and what to do with that. Fingers crossed that goes well in the future, but we’ll see! Either way, I won’t be able to complain too much as long as I can link up with at least my friend, Mer, out of the five people I have ready to room with me. Praying that it will work out that we all can link! Anyway, an update outside of this but still affecting everything...

I have to take another class. I think I said that already, or maybe I didn’t, either way, it’s a true statement, and that class will run me into March. The last day being the 4th. You know what, I did say something, anyway a little more detail on it, I have chosen to take Perspectives of Humanities, and considering I took Intro to the Humanities already, it should be a piece of cake, and hopefully, easy to work around work considering these classes are already easy for me to get through. There hasn’t been too much work or at least not what I consider to be too much and I’ve only had good grades in my classes with this school, anyway, it does mean I will have to find ways to work being on my computer for some odd hours in a week to do homework, and I will not be taking advantage of the Distance Learning offered for CPers which basically just gives them guaranteed hours to do hw. I don’t suggest that, not taking that opportunity if you have a class to do, but for me, it’s the better option since I just cannot force myself to work on homework when I have motivation, so that would just not end well for me. It’s different with actual work, like that will be perfectly fine, so no worries there, but yanno, can’t force myself to do anything. Do not want to do that again.

Other than that, it’s been a quiet week and I’ve just been putting nails in the coffin so to speak, I can’t believe I put my two weeks notice in at work in almost a month. But, I do not know if I will come back and because of the length of time and how my job works, I can’t just take a leave of absence. It’ll hopefully work out to get back to it when I get back, but if not, I’ll find something else. Especially with Disney on my resume. Anyway, until next week, y’all.
