About the Voltron Ending

I’m honestly not that mad with the ending but I can still see why people had a problem with it. Allura’s death, Shiro’s marriage to some ‘random’ and the fact that Klance didn’t happen. Let me tell you my opinion on it.

I honestly don’t have a problem with the fact that Shiro got married to some “random”. I think the most important thing to see here is the fact that they gave representation for Shiro and weren’t afraid at all to show a gay kiss between to male characters. 

Klance. I think that the fandom is angry because they’ve been shipping it for years since Voltron even came out and they’re disappointed that they didn’t get to see the ending for them. This goes back to the fact that I saw someone say that they wanted to see gay representation between two three dimensional characters instead of Shiro’s “random” husband. 

Not everyone is going to be pleased with the ending but I honestly didn’t have a problem with it. Plus I’m very content with the fact that they were bold enough to show a gay kiss in a kids show, because in all reality that’s what the demographic was always aimed at. Kids.

Fic authors deserve more credit.

Story time: I started a book about 23 hours ago and just finished it. Also in that time I slept for 10 hours, spent time with family, was at work, etc. Anyway, I enjoyed the book (Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda). But it felt like it flew by, so after I finished I looked up the word count because what are pages? Pages are meaningless. I only function in word counts anymore.

The estimate I found was 58,580. My immediate reaction was “oh, that’s why. That’s nothing!” But what a shitty response. Because no. That’s not nothing. That’s a whole. Damn. Book. An entire novel! And Fic authors regularly bust out 30k, 50k, 100k, 150k words. AND THEY DO IT FOR FREE. WHILE WORKING AND LIVING THEIR LIVES.

So anyway, thank your favorite fic author today because they deserve it. Because they’re amazing. They’re the MVPs.

There was something in the atmosphere that made you so bored and you needed to have some fun. Today wasn’t one of those days where you had to prepare to fight Zarkon or save a planet from the Galra. It was just one of those days where you were in the castle with nothing to do. You had played a couple of rounds of Monsters & Mana with Coran, Pidge and Hunk in the morning but now you were just draped on Shiro’s chair in the control room trying to keep yourself from overheating.

The ship was very close to a star that resembled the sun and all of a sudden the AC had shut off. Pidge was working on trying to get it to turn back on but it had been a while since she started that so now you were left wondering what you were going to do. The doors open to reveal the team walking in. They were all sweaty and gross just like you because of this damn heat.

“Pidge, I thought you were working on the AC” you complained.

“I was but someone kept complaining that it was too hot and we had to take a break” Pidge looked over and shot a glare towards Hunk.

“I get hot really easily!” Hunk defended.

“Guys, I know that it’s hot but try to bare with it, ok?” Shiro said. You looked over to your boyfriend and you couldn’t help but get a peek of his super built biceps. He wasn’t wearing his sleeved black shirt that he normally wears under his vest, he was wearing just his vest. It didn’t help that they were also glistening with a coat of sweat. At that very moment, a mischievous idea popped into your head and a smirk hoaxed your lips.

“How can I bare with it when it’s so hot” your voice dialed down a bit lower and you dragged out the O at the middle of ‘hot’. Shiro looked over and saw your position on his chair that immediately made him gulp.

“Why are we even so close to this star?” Lance asked throwing his hands up.

“I’m not really sure why we ended up so close to a star like this, but if we don’t fix the AC soon everything might start overheating and shut down” Allura explained. You had gotten up from your seat and walked over to them. They were all hunched over looking at the hologram pulled up in front of them giving you a perfect opportunity for you to slide your hand inside Shiro’s pants and rest your hand on his ass. Shiro stance stiffened and from the corner of your eye you could tell he was staring straight at you.

“Well why can’t we just put the particle barrier up to protect us from the heat?” Keith asked.

“Because Coran and I are still trying to fix that. It took massive blows from all those Galra attacks, I don’t know when we’ll get it up again” Pidge explained.

“It would be more practical to fix the AC to stop the overheating problem then get to work on the particle barrier for when we eventually get attacked by the Galra again” Pidge informed her team.

“Sounds like a plan. I’m practically overheating now and I’m running out of clothing options here. I don’t want to be running around in my birthday suit” some of the team laughed at your joke but you and Shiro knew better than that. You weren’t opposed to walking around naked in the castle if it meant you got to tease Shiro and not overheat. As everyone began to sit back up, your hand slid out of his pants making him shiver. You have him an innocent smile and walked away with a little more movements in your hips. Shiro couldn’t help but look at your nice ass and shining skin as you sat back down on his seat with one leg crossed over the other. He was prepared to throw you over his shoulder and take you to the room but Keith had asked him if he wanted to spar and maybe get a good work out in the meantime. “Can I spar with you guys too?” you questioned.

“Sure” Keith nodded making you get up from your seat and follow them to the training room.

“So, I’ll go easy on you because I know you’re usually not out there all the time fighting like we are” Shiro said sounding a little cocky while he rubbed your shoulder.

“Good to know” you said as you grabbed his hand, twisted it and lifted yourself off it to wrap your legs around his head and made him summersalt off the ground to hit his back on the floor. It was an unexpected take down that made the blood rush to Shiro’s lower half. After your little sparring session with Shiro, Keith was next and you had taken him down too. It was adorable that they doubted you and now they got their ass kicked by little ol’ you. As you got up from the floor a sudden breeze of air hit you and the sound of the air conditioning surrounded the room.

“I’m about done now. You boys have fun alright?” you panted as you walked away. Since the air was back on you didn’t wanna be all sticky and gross.
