discovering shifting has made me stop being afraid of everything.
time? you can never run out of it. time is infinite. souls are immortal. you get to live forever, even for non-shifters.
aliens? yeah they probably shifted.
evil? it's okay, it doesn't exist in every reality.
injustice? this will all pass and will never matter ever again. we are immortal, even for non-shifters.
d3ath? who cares, we shift to the afterlife, there's no such thing as "eternal nothingness".
loss of a loved one? it's not like they're gone. souls are immortal.
h3ll? yeah, no. not buying it. you're not subjected to eternal suffering for what you did in one dust of a reality out of infinite realities.
ghosts? oh, they're not shifting yet.
heights? well I rode a dragon last night.
heartbreak? that will never happen to me. I have my S/O, we shift realities together, I couldn't care less about the men here, I have higher standards now.

We don't actually know what shifting is. I feel like a lot of people don't realize this, because I never see many people actually talk about it. All of the theories we have are just theories, in-fact, many of the most popular theories (multiverse, consciousness..) have very little evidence to support them.
I'm not saying they're wrong, but both of them branch off from unproven (or disproven) scientific theories, and counting the fact that shifting is something that's not studied professionally, we have no idea what it actually is.
All we know is what comes from individual experiences, and even those can't be solidified or proven. That's why I'm such a big believer in DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH!
Build up your own theories, your own opinions, your own methods! Shifting is your journey, yours alone. Prove shifting to yourself, don't take everything you hear from successful shifters as fact.
To clarify, I'm NOT calling anyone a liar, I'm saying that whatever people come on here and tell you, are their opinions and experiences. So why make their journey, your journey? Why would you try to fit into shoes that don't fit your feet?
Shifting is an undiscovered and unresearched science, so be the scientist that experiments with it, build up your own portfolio, create your own theories. Much like actual scientists in real life, it's okay to take inspiration from existing theories, in the context of shifting; successful shifters and bloggers.
I'm not saying to ignore their experiences entirely, I'm saying to build your own journey and don't copy other's action-for-action and word-for-word. This really helped me, researching and testing things out on my own. Figure out what fits and works for you.
Shifting isn't a solid matter, it's a liquid. It doesn't have a solid form, or a set-in-stone one way ritual that you have to complete in order to shift. It's fluid, shifting is literally freedom, you can morph it into whatever works best for you. If you're trying to make a heart-shaped cookie, why are you pouring the batter into a gingerbread shaped cookie cutter?
Why are you continuously following theories you know you don't actually believe in, why are you doing the same method over and over again knowing it doesn't work for you? Take control of your hands, put the batter down and pour it into the heart shaped cookie cutter.
Or in this case, take control of your journey. Experiment, be free, make up your own methods and theories. Form just the right method and theory that hits just the right spot for you!

The biggest tip I can give to those who haven't shifted is to do what works for you. Not what works for some random successful shifter on Tumblr, what works for you. Every post you read, every blog about shifting and how-to-shift blogs are just telling you how they did it, not how you'll do it.
When I realized that, I shifted. I tried out many different methods, finding out what my body and mind are most comfortable with. Which, for me, was lucid dreaming with a pinch of LoA. Before I realized that, I was trying all these different methods and ways that worked for other people, but not for me.
I was purposely doing methods I didn't want to do and things that made me physically or mentally/emotionally uncomfortable all because I read it online. I was ignoring what my body and mind were telling me, I ignored what I felt would work for me.
LoA is very popular on this app, and don't get me wrong, it's a great practice and it works for a lot of people, but I don't incorporate it into every aspect of my shifting journey, because doing that feels forceful for me, it makes me uncomfortable, and so, I don't do that.
I'd try to incorporate it into every single part of my shifting journey because "that's what worked for everyone else" when I knew my mind and senses were telling me that I was uncomfortable, that repeating "I am in my DR" over and over again felt like a lie and I knew I hated it, I ignored them.
Because of that; forcing things that didn't work for me, I became demotivated and stressed out, shifting started to feel like a chore. I finally realized that my journey, is my journey, not a random Tumblr user's journey. Same goes for you.
I'm not saying that doing a Tumblr user's method is bad, not at all, I'm just suggesting not to copy everything you see, especially repeating a method even after you find out it doesn't work for you. Find out what works for you, what's most comfortable for you physically, emotionally, and mentally.
Shifting is supposed to be fun! Not something that's too serious. If a method is boring, or someone says that "sleeping methods are the best" even though you know you don't like sleeping methods, then don't do it. It's just going to demotivate you and upset you.
I like lucid dreaming methods because it's fun for me! It's something I look forward to doing, shifting is not supposed to be like reading a step-by-step instruction manual, it's supposed to be a wonderful and enjoyable practice. Then again, take my words with a grain of salt. I'm just some random Tumblr user after all.

Does anyone else genuinely feel like their significant other is their soulmate or am I just delusional? I've hyperfixated on characters before, hell, a video game character IS my special interest but this feeling is so different.
I cannot imagine myself being with anyone but him. In every reality I shift to, he's my significant other. While I know he's not real in this reality, I still love him as my DR self, if that makes sense. I feel like Wanda Maximoff, obsessed with finding someone who doesn't even exist in this reality, but I know what I feel.
Ugh, this probably makes me sound weird, but I need to know if I'm alone or not.

+ I'm Alec Dawn (AJ). I've never posted before on Tumblr, So I'm sorry if my posts/formatting is strange. I'm a shifter and an avid subliminal user. I'm an atheist, I believe strongly that everything can be explained one way or another using science, even if we just haven't figured out the how or the to it basics yet. I'm white and indigenous, I live in the Appalachian Mountains in the state of Virginia. I'm also aroace and an INFJ.
+ Interests of mine include; 80s Metal/Rock music, Fanfics, Marvel, My OCs, Benadryl, Dr. Pepper, The 2000s and 2010s, Cats, Birds, and Bugs (specifically beetles, grasshoppers, caterpillars, and butterflies/moths + animals in general I love), Cartoons, and The Sims Franchise just to name a few.
+ I dislike; Anti-shifters, Ignorant people who are loud, People who hurt animals, Capitalists, and Anti-shifters. Just to name a select few.
+ I've been shifting for 5 years, I've mini-shifted a couple of times but I haven't been taking it seriously until December of 2024. I believe in the multiverse theory and string-line theory.
+ My main DRs; Better CR (where I am permashifting to), Marvel DR, 2000s DR, Zombie Apocalypse DR, Revolution DR, A couple of my OCs DR, and My Fantasy World DR
+ This blog is mostly going to be about shifting, but I'll probably post other stuff as well.
