I wound up taking a break from Imardi, but I am eager to get back into it with the introduction of the final evolution of our Water starter.
Aquastria
The Storm Horse Pokemon Height: 6'3 Weight: 850 lbs
Polda: Stories indicate that gatherings of Aquastria can cause severe storms at sea. A herd is often referred to as a Stormfront.
Saira: Aquastria have been known to guide ships to safe passage in storms and fog. They are often found breaching the water alongside ships.

It’s been a little bit but we finally have the second stage of our water starter! We also have a nice new Dex background
Capriwave
The Bubble Horse Pokemon Height: 4'8   Weight: 600 lbs
Polda: The bubbles around its neck come from within the scalchop on its chest. The bubbles can remove even the most stubborn of stains.
Saira: Its tail is incredibly strong and it is capable of making waves over 10ft tall. With enough force, it can even break rock.

I unfortunately still do not have a full lineup for them BUT LOOK, they've been colored!!
Name: Cynder
Pronouns: they/them
Gym: Fire Gym in Narlitse City
Lineup: TBD
Age: 23
Height: 6'1
Personality: Boisterous, competitive, enjoys a good party. Loves to sing and plays the mandolin. Travels frequently to perform so it can sometimes be hard to book time at their gym. Luckily, they're taking a break from touring Imardi to focus on the gym, just in time for you to make your journey. Can you stand the heat of the desert? Or will the Flower of Narlitse burn you to ash?

Gym Leader, Cynder - WIP
Cynder (they/them) is our fire-type gym leader. Still working on their team. I mentioned earlier that there was some LoZ themes in Imardi, too, and Cynder’s outfit is very heavily inspired by Link’s Gerudo outfit from Breath of the Wild. This may change at some point, but for the moment, I rather like it.

So I’ve got a bit of WIP for the second stage of Capmini. It’s mostly done, I just need dex entries for each version...
I’d also like a nicer background to display them on, rather than just white.
BUT...
I also started the fire gym leader cause I was very excited about them. Imardi is very Lord of the Rings/High Fantasy vibes but I’ve got some Legend of Zelda inspired themes in there, too.
Suppose I can always just post both.

Capmini The Tiny Horse Pokemon Height: 3'2   Weight: 200 lbs
Polda: Unlike Oshawott, the scalchop on its chest cannot be removed. Capmini take great pride in it and dislikes getting it dirty or damaged.
Saira: Capmini dwells in ocean shallows, and its short tail fin makes it a poor swimmer. For defense, it expels a jet of hot water from its mouth to distract and pain predators before fleeing.

Pokemon Polda & Pokemon Saira
Imardi is a WIP fantasy and mythology based pokemon fan region. This blog is for me to post WIPs and finished works, share progress and seek input as I build up the region of Imardi.
Fun things you might note - the ‘games’, the towns and cities and the region itself are named using Quenya, one of Tolkien’s Elvish dialects. I’ll admit, they’re probably not grammatically accurate both for brevity and because online translators can only do so much at times but my goal for this was mostly to garner a vibe or theme for the area.
For example, your starting area in Polda and Saira is a place called Árakal Village, which roughly translates to Dawn Light - as in the start of the day, a place where you’re just beginning.
I hope you’ll all enjoy your journey through Imardi. We’re certainly looking forward to sharing it with you.
