The problem with living on an island is that you have to cross the ocean to get to the other half of the country tiny plane with 6 passengers (including me) and 3 flight crew.

Lbonus I had a single seat, and there's no overhead bins, so no one is reaching over my head to do luggage.

Also this flight is literally like 20 minutes

Wellington can be a horror to fly into because of the wind but today was probably the nicest I've had also at least you know the pilots are world class because if you can handle wellington on a bad day you are golden (there's legit landing complications on YouTube of the nonsense this airport deals with)

Also the lady driving the Airport bus was an older Maori lady, and let me tell you nothing makes me feel more comfortable she was so nice when I was struggling to understand how to tag on where as old white men always make the stress way worse by acting as if any slight inconvenience is a personal attack like making me panic will slow me down bro

It's like the amount of people writing kids who have clearly never met a toddler in their life like babes I beg do a five minute google about age related milestones

i find it so funny in teen dad bruce wayne fics when he gets called into the principals office for like the most minor thing ever. sometimes it's so obvious that the people writing these fics haven't been in school for a while because usually the parent would just be emailed about this stuff or not told at all!

for example, they'll be a fic like, 'Damian has been doodling on his desk and he + Bruce get called into the headteacher's office!!!!' when in reality, Damian would probably just get some kind of demerit mark in the system and then be sent on his merry way😭

or sometimes, it's the opposite and the kids/Bruce don't get NEARLY enough repercussions!
