In Depths Unseen, a Jellyfish Dreams

In the silent depths where light softly fades,

A jellyfish drifts in the ocean’s vast shades.

Graceful and gentle, it floats without care,

In a world so immense, yet starkly bare.

A creature of beauty, with a translucent glow,

Pulsing and dancing, in the currents’ slow flow.

No thoughts to ponder, no dreams to weave,

Just the rhythm of the sea in which it believes.

It feels but does not know, the warmth of the sun,

Nor the pull of the moon when the day is done.

It senses the world in a silent refrain,

Yet unaware of joy, untouched by pain.

In its silent world, where thoughts never tread,

Lies a simple existence, unspoken, unsaid.

A life in the balance, between being and naught,

In an ocean of mystery, a ponderous thought.

For in its simple being, there lies a sad truth,

A life without knowing, eternal youth.

Drifting forever, in the sea’s vast embrace,

A sentient being, lost in time and space.

Oh, jellyfish, in your dance so serene,

What wonders unseen, what worlds unseen?

In your quiet existence, do you ever yearn,

For a spark of consciousness, to think and discern?

But onward you float, in the deep sea’s choir,

A creature of instinct, but never of fire.

In depths unseen, you continue to dream,

A life of sensation, in a world unseen.
