Daenaera’s character is referenced in the main series (before F&B) when GRRM talks about three Velaryon brides. She existed long before Jumphaera & whether that non canon fanfic goes into Aegon III’s reign or not, Daenaera is his queen and the mother of his children.

ACOK came out in 1998 btw, so Daenaera was clearly already conceptualised then. GRRM had two decades to change his mind about her character before publishing F&B, but he didn’t because she’s important to the narrative. COPE.

Am I the only one who is getting really annoyed about that discord server blog keep putting the greens in the Daemyra tag? If I wanted to see them.. I would go to the green tag. Generally, something strange has been happening with tumblr lately, because it stubbornly blocks everything that I don't want to see, and then I still see it on my wall and in my recommendations. If I block pro TG tags and pro TG blogs, why does tumblr still think it's a good idea to recommend pro TG posts to me, lol? Another problem is what you say, because some people still stubbornly tag their anti-TB posts so that they can be seen by pro-TB people, because "they wanted to reach us", and when they do, they are very offended that we comments under these posts…

I saw a post complaining that the show goes above and beyond to give Syrax a personality + bond with Rhaenyra but doesn’t even given TG dragons personality/bonds with their riders and they’re neglected and they specifically named Dreamfyre and I just- Dreamfyre is basically non existent in this narrative. Helaena herself neglected Dreamfyre so, why would they waste money and resources giving a dragon that doesn’t even participate in the dance a personality + bond with its rider?

Not to mention Rhaneyra is the centre of the story. Syrax was in the cradle with Rhaenyra and she was the youngest dragon rider and only dragon rider Syrax has known and at the stage were at in the show, she’s been with Syrax for over 20+ years. Syrax is the mother of the dragons of Rhaenyra’s children. Why wouldn’t they highlight over and over again the bond between these two and how connected they are?

It’s bad enough TG has made up entirely new characters and slapped the names ‘Alicent’ and ‘Aemond’ on it and now they want to make up dragon bonds and personalities as well 🤦🏽‍♀️

Well, I'm sorry, but why don't Aegon, Aemond and Helaena have the opportunity to appear on screen more often? Because the show still makes Alicent a more important character than them, even though as they grow up, she should be pushed aside in favor of Aegon and Aemond. I know that according to them, screen time should be taken from TB and given to them, but it doesn't work like that…

Dragons are incredibly expensive. There weren't many of them in GoT, the focus was mainly on Drogon, although their designs were identical and with such dirty colors that it was sometimes difficult to tell them apart. In HotD, each dragon has a unique design, the colors are bright and distinct, so they must be even more expensive to make. So it's clear they won't push them any more than absolutely necessary. Dragons appear when and only when they are needed in the plot. TG want season 2 to start with Helaena and Dreamfyre in the same scene as season 1 started with Rhaenyra and Syrax. Syrax and Rhaenyra showed up for the usual ride, but that was just to show that "hey look, she's the main character" and then we don't see "unnecessary scenes" like that unless they serve to introduce something, like showing that Laena he is now a Vhagar rider. The truth is that neither Helaena nor Dreamfyre are important in the Dance. Helaena will be important in the B&C scene and her own death. This is the sad truth. She doesn't do anything else. Dreamfyre will probably appear in two or at most three scenes throughout the series - perhaps the funeral, Helaena's death, and during the assault on the Dragon Pit. Similarly with wild dragons - people want them to appear, but if the Cannibal does appear, it will be for a few seconds when he eats someone.

Ooh this is pretty hard but imma narrow it down

1- tiana from princess and the frog is and still is my childhood and favorite childhood princess and i hold a candle to her, she’s also better than me because i could not have waited that long or refused money to achieve my dream but she did and her determination throughout the movie admirable. I always wanted to dress up as her for halloween, but my mom wouldn’t let me celebrate it, not even dressing up to stay at home and im much too old for my first halloween🫤

2-Bonnie Bennet from tvd 🥺bon bon, she saved everyone lives a million times with barely little thanks, but im not gonna get started on the tvd fandom or writers. I just love her so much, like many of my faves she’s powerful and when she refuses to help it satisfying, she’s so genuine and the kindest person. I would have loved to see her style be more bohemian, but Kat Grahams pulls of every outfit.

3- rhaenyra targaryen spefically from the princess and the queen/fire & blood not the hotd show while i do love emma darcy as rhaenyra. I always loved how rhaenyra while showing kindness pre-her sons death wasn’t completely toothless like in the show version. (But for real rhaenyra does break my heart she had to deal with an evil stepmother at seven and had to die in the two most horrific and painful ways by fire and animal bites and to top it all of shes not remembered fondly, doesn’t even get to be known as queen, she’s a character i feel immense sympathy for because she was set up to fail/a glass ceiling and we don’t get much insight into her because george made her a test how you take the claims of Rhaenyra crimes & character says everything about you)

4- Buffy Drisscoll from andi mack (this is probably me being more of a sofia wylie fan, but I love Buffy not only is her name cool, but she stubborn and competitive and a great basketball player i was one as well so hehe)

5- Percy Jackson (at the time i read the books i was in middle school but i related to him so much, adhd, schoolwork is hard, and he was just very cool but he didn’t recognize it yet )

I get that you guys hate Daenerys. I don't understand it but I get it. What I don't get is why so many of you have these misogynistic fantasies about her death.

That's all well and good but there are tens of men in the books who have done worse and continue to do worse in pursuit of far less noble causes. I don't see people posting rape fantasies about them. I have never seen a single post where Gregor Clegane, Jamie Lannister, Petyr Baelish, Tywin Lannister or his odious brother Kevan are subjected to sexual violence before being murdered ignobly.

If anything people often blorbo-fy them. Jamie Lannister is apparently on a redemption arc even though there is little evidence of this in the books. Gregor Clegane has blinding headaches so we can't really judge him for how he chooses to destress. Tywin might be a monstrous person in canon but at least he loved his wife and that apparently forgives a multitude of sins. As for Petyr and Kevan, little is said of them but that's the point isn't it.

Aegon II the rapist without a single redeeming quality has fans who arduously defend him. "He's only a rapist because mummy and daddy didn't love him." "He's only a rapist because he doesn't know what rape is." It's fascinating stuff because many of those fans who arduously defend him are staunch Daenerys haters.

You guys are always yapping about how Criston Cole is Rhaenyra’s victim. Even though the show contradicts you on this point many times. Even though the producers contradict you on this point repeatedly. 

However, no one wants to reckon with the fact that those men took a tale about a misogynistic paedophile and the child he groomed and isolated and then turned his child victim into the initiator/aggressor. 

It’s par for the course with the adaptors. We watched it happen with Dany and Jorah, Doreah and Xaro Xhoan Daxos, Loras Tyrell and the homophobic way they adapted his story. The racist, heavily sexualised way they adapted the sand snakes and Ellaria Sand. I had hoped the fandom would know better by now but alas!
