I am 23 years old. I live under the bombardment and constant aggression against Gaza. Here we struggle with a life of constant death and loss. I lost a large part of my family. We also lost our house in which we used to live. We were displaced more than 10 times from one place to another, searching for safety. In fact, there is no safe place. We had many ambitions and hopes. I graduated from university and intended to travel, work, and many other things. But the war came and destroyed all that. We also had a source of livelihood and clothing shops.🇵🇸🍉

The occupation completely destroyed and burned them all, and we no longer have any source of livelihood. We also lack access to food and drinking water. We suffered from many diseases, such as hepatitis and malnutrition due to the lack of a suitable environment for life, and I had surgery to remove the gallbladder. Here we live in hunger and fear. My mother also suffers from chronic diseases and we cannot find a cure for them. Our lives are in danger. Therefore, I hope you can help, even if just a little, as this will help us get out of death."🇵🇸🍉

The most difficult decision for us was to leave our country, to leave Gaza, to overcome the obstacles we faced and the losses we suffered, and to start a new life from scratch.💔💔

Collecting data is becoming increasingly difficult for the Gaza Health Ministry due to the destruction of much of the infrastructure. [...] Some officials and news agencies have used this development, designed to improve data quality, to undermine the veracity of the data. However, the number of reported deaths is likely an underestimate. [...] Armed conflicts have indirect health implications beyond the direct harm from violence. Even if the conflict ends immediately, there will continue to be many indirect deaths in the coming months and years from causes such as reproductive, communicable, and non-communicable diseases. In recent conflicts, such indirect deaths range from three to 15 times the number of direct deaths. Applying a conservative estimate of four indirect deaths per one direct death to the 37 396 deaths reported, it is not implausible to estimate that up to 186 000 or even more deaths could be attributable to the current conflict in Gaza. Using the 2022 Gaza Strip population estimate of 2 375 259, this would translate to 7.9% of the total population in the Gaza Strip. on july 5, 2024, the lancet published a short editorial note conservatively estimating 186,000 dead in gaza, or 8% of the population (one of the authors served as member of the board of israel's journal of health policy research and for israel's national institute for health policy research).

these are staggering, jawdropping numbers, a clear statistical demonstration of ongoing genocide. these are figures that were hardly surpassed in historical armed conflicts. germany's death toll in ww2 was around 9% of the prewar population. israel is an abomination and must be stopped immediately
