Imagine this....

Imagine the two of you having a small distance between each other’s bodies. Simply looking into each other’s eyes full of love mixed of lust. The two of you are on a date, they asked you out a couple of days ago for a date and you agreed because you really liked them, but they don’t know about your feelings. All your friends have been telling you that they like you back, but you think there is absolutely no way. You weren’t very confident when it comes to love due to your past experiences with it. So, when they asked you out for a date you were both happy and confused.

Happy because they asked and confused because they asked you out of all people. On the day of the date you got up early to get ready. You’ve already picked an outfit out two days before and was prepared for your date. After you put your clothes on, you took a final look at yourself and took a mirror selfie to send it to your friends, asking them about your choice of outfit. They replied with capital letters expressing how excited they are for your date; you smile and thanked them for being supportive.

You get up to your date at this new café that opened nearby your home. As you entered the café, you immediately were able to spot them sitting by the corner where there isn’t a lot of people. The moment you saw them your heart started pounding as you realised how good they looked even out of school. It was almost like you could hear your own heartbeat in your head. You then shook those thoughts away and did a small pep talk for yourself saying, “you can do this.” You walk up to your date slowly so you wouldn’t startle them. As they were looking at the menu, they were then able to see your shoes from the corner of their eye. They slowly look up and you swore your face went pink as a cherry blossom when their gorgeous eyes made eye contact with yours. They then gave you a gentle smile that made your heart swell up. “hey, you came” they said, motioning for you to take a seat. You replied nodding slightly, “it would be rude of me to not come would it not?”. They chuckled and handed you the menu. As you were going to take the menu from them your fingers brushed against theirs slightly and you were internally screaming hoping they did not notice how red you are right now.

You decided on having some cheesecake and the two of you ordered. As the two of you were waiting for your food, they tried to strike up a conversation with you, but you were too shy to even look at them. You kept looking down and fiddling with your hands underneath the table. You then felt a thumb and an index finger under your chin, they tilted your head up saying, “Why do you keep looking down? I can’t see that pretty face of yours if you hide it from me...” Oh how you wish you could kiss that pretty smirk off their face.  

When you got your food, your eyes were sparkling at how delicious the cheesecakes look, as you were ogling them, you heard a laugh and looked up to see your date giggling to themselves. You tilted your head in confusion as to why they were laughing at you. They replied stifling their giggles, “sorry, you just look like a kid who just received a gift for Christmas which is adorable.” You pout with blushing cheeks saying, “I can’t help it, I love cheesecakes.” They then took a fork to take a piece of cheesecake and put it against your lips, your eyes widen at the sudden act, and they said, “do you need me to say ahh?” You opened your mouth slightly and they fed you the cheesecake. Your brain short circuited as they fed you. As they were going to feed you again you stopped them saying, “you haven’t even taken a bite of your cheesecake” You gathered the courage to take the fork next to you to take a piece of your cheesecake to feed it to them, they eyes widened slightly but they closed their eyes and allowed you to feed them. The two of you talked and shared a few laughs. You then realise how the two of you have so much in common. Not only were they good looking, they have talents as well, what is there not to like about them?  

After the two of you finished eating, you went to grab your wallet to pay but they stopped you saying, “ I insist, I’m the one who asked you out after all” and then they proceed to pay and you thanked them. As the two of you walk up to the door, they open it for you, and you smiled at them.

As you were walking with them during the evening, chatting and laughing. You felt their hand brush against yours. You noticed them looking away and talking to you, so you decided to gently grab their hand and they whipped their head to look at you. You gave them a gentle smile and asked, “do you not want to hold my hand?” while tilting your head. You saw them blush and felt your hand being squeezed slightly. They said, “How could not want to hold a hand that belongs to an angel like you?” and gently kisses your knuckles. You begin to stutter as you stare at them, those eyes that got you falling in love, their soothing voice that has helped you sleep well and that gorgeous face which constantly lives rent free in your head.

The two of you noticed a small park to sit at. You sat in silence until they spoke up, “hey, uhm I’ve been wanting to ask you out on a date for some time already but I was afraid you would say no...” You stared at them in awe. They’ve been wanting to ask you out. But the two of you rarely spoken to each other because of being in two different friend groups, all this while they have been noticing you and you did not catch them doing it despite looking at them every time they’re near you. You were questioning yourself, but you got interrupted with their hand on your forehead, “wait do you have a fever? Your face looks red “You breathed hitched at how close they were. You could hear your breathe.

You gathered the courage to lean in and press your lips against theirs. You stayed there for a bit and moved your head away but they stopped you saying “ who told you to pull away?” and they gently grabbed the back your neck and started to kiss you again. You felt like you were on cloud 9, as they gently tilted their head to deepen the kiss. You weren’t sure what gave you goosebumps, the gentle cold breeze or their lips. The two of you pulled away, smiling at each other admiring the beauty of the date.
