The process for applying to the express entry program is mentioned below:

1. Create an online profile on CIC’s Express Entry Portal 2. Submit the profile to make an EOI (Expression of Interest) 3. Wait for the CRS score to be calculated 4. For recent draws, check the CRS cut off. If you secured a score equal to or greater than the cutoff, then you’ll receive an ITA. 5. Submit an Electronic Application within 90 days of receiving the ITA

Usually, the PR application is processed within 6 months. If approved, you can move to Canada along with your dependents as a permanent resident.

Provincial Nominee Programs

Nomination from a Canadian province can provide the applicant with 600 additional points. Since this is substantially more than the usual cutoff, your PR application will likely be approved. Once you submit your profile through the Express Entry portal, Canadian provinces are automatically notified of the same. After assessing your profile, they will provide you an EOI, if you’re eligible for nomination from the province.

You may also apply separately to the province through various immigration programs. Every province in Canada is independent to create its own immigration program to meet its population and economic targets.
