stop using the "this will only stop safe abortions" argument against conservatives. they know and are fine with women dying a bloody death for trying to get an abortion. for them it's not a bug, it's a feature.

btw if you live in the midwest (a region where a lot of the states are going to have trigger laws or ban abortion completely it looks like) and if it’s possible that you can leave ur state, get to illinois. Illinois isn’t just a state where abortion is permitted, in illinois abortion is strictly a protected right. illinois’ right to abortion is permanent and isn’t going to be changed anytime soon. in illinois your abortion rights are completely confidential. illinois is one of the easiest states to access abortion in and the process is fairly simple, and it’s going to always be legal to do so even as the right to abortion is overturned in other states. it’s very much a safe haven to anyone who needs to flee their state right now. if anyone can provide any resources and links that would be greatly appreciated.

Anyway mutual abuse is NOT real. If women fighting back to survive their abusers mean they are actually just as bad as the men beating them, then you are just outlawing self defence. Saying mutual abuse is real means that you only support female DV victims when they don’t fight back and die. I know sooo many DV survivors and all of them (including myself) had to beat up their abusers to survive. Liberal feminists and anti-feminists know absolutely nothing about domestic violence situations and are ready to throw women under the bus the minute we try not to die

note how no other demographic has ever had to argue suicide rates in order to demand their rights. women didn't need to threaten suicide because they already get killed by men. people of color didn't need to threaten suicide because they already get killed by white people. gay people didn't need to threaten suicide because they already get killed by straight people. so on and so forth. and suicide does happen in these groups as a direct result of their oppression, but it has never been argued as the main reason why these groups deserve their rights. no other group has ever had to say "if you don't do these things, we'll kill ourselves". there was no need, because they already face actual oppression.

Just one more reason for feminism to not focus on 'equality' is that even when the ratios of employment throughout fields and political participation and academic achievement reach 50/50 (so the 'sexism' is gone), misogyny absolutely can, and does, still exist.

You can't look at figures for male vs female student achievement and say 'that means that girls are dominating and no longer oppressed' because all the while, the male students are still harassing and tormenting the female students while the reverse is not happening.

It's not a rates race. Feminism should always be about women and eliminating what hurts us as whole human beings rather than just our output as students or employees. Men continuously benefit from misogyny, even when we persevere through challenges and outperform them. The problems are still there, even when we rise above them.
