"No, like I said, I would end up eating them all and I don’t need that." He smiled as he watched the other take a cookie out of the bag. "Have as many as you want, seriously." Whether that was one or five, Cade didn’t care. "I’m Caderyn by the way, Caderyn Blake."

"I really don't think that you should have done this, but thank you. I get what you mean." Matthew chuckled quietly though he didn't try to hide it like normal. Hesitation seemed to be clouding his movements like normal, taking a cookie out of the bag. "Thanks."

"No, no. It’s better than you take one, or a couple. Otherwise I’ll eat them all and that’s bad for my stomach." Caderyn patted his belly and looked down at it before back up at the other man. He took a bag of cookies out of his jacket pocket, and opened the ziplock up to the man. "Here you go."

"Yeah." Matthew fell silent, dropping his gaze to the ground before it returned to him again. "That would be nice, but you don't have to."

"Ah, I gotcha." Cade wiggled his shoulders a moment then, not really sure what to say. "Want a cookie?"

"I know that it does. I've uh..I've realized that as well. And with all of those people that I have surrounded myself with. They just aren't here right now."

"It’s shitty, but it gets easier. You’ll soon realize that you don’t need them, and when you surround yourself with people who actually care about you.. yeah, nothing can beat that."

"And you have every right to. At one point in my life I believe angels were watching over me and my brother - it was all a waste of time, for prayers were never answered."

"I have no reason to believe that angels or God exist. If they did, my prayers would’ve been answered. It’s safe to say others have been in similar situations, so having faith would be quite rare.”

"No I don't really. Father thinks I'm a disgrace along with my brothers and sisters. They don't trust me and I have lost sight of those I truly care about. Angels were watching over you though."

"That would be interfering with free will though. Not every prayer is answered, not even my own. Faith is rare, but I question it because you have to look at what today's society claims to be a God."

This shit really does work. So I'm gonna go to bed before I end up saying something I will regret in the morning.

"So I've noticed..." Though the words were mumbled, he was fairly certain that they would be heard. "I know exactly how you feel though. Only advantage you have is being able to go somewhere. I can't go up or down and I'm stuck here. No real allies and no real enemies." Which, the last part at least, was good. It meant no trouble for now. "It really is. Lost contact with everyone I ever cared about."

Another small chuckle was elicited from the angel due to the demon's reply; fidgeting with the ends of his wings. The pure white feathers leaking out over the ground and his lap. "Nice effort. I was simply making an observation. And...relatively alright. Yourself?"
