I love the whole interview but this little snippet most of all:
Terry: “You can usually bet, and I’m sure Neil Gaiman would say the same thing, that, uh, if I go into a bookstore to do a signing and someone presents me with three books, the chances are that one of them is going to be a very battered copy of Good Omens; and it will smell as if it’s been dropped in parsnip soup or something in and it’s gone fluffy and crinkly around the edges and they’ll admit that it’s the fourth copy they’ve bought”.
You can never own enough Good Omens copies.

In 4th grade, my bff was in a death feud over chess with a boy in our class but instead of competing like normal people they decided that the best way to determine who was chess master was for each of them to select one of the two biggest idiots in class and teach them to play chess, My Fair Lady style, and see whose idiot won. We are just now, 22 years later, grappling with the moral implications of this exercise.
#I mean that is basically what Pogchamps was#a bunch of titled chess masters grab twitch streamers and teach them chess and then duke it out#still one of the most poetic moments was Moistcr1tikal scholars mating xQc and WFM Alexandria Botez and GM Hikaru Nakamura being in shamble

#like i say this with all the love in my heart for good food#that looks like it would hit the spot but it is sorely missing a lot#those fries are the bomb but they aren't restaurant quality unless the restaurant does something to spice them up#which could be as easy as taking some seasoning salt and tossing them in it#that roll is fine but it could have easily been replaced by coleslaw and it would have been an improvement in presentation and quality#the roll itself might be good but you've got fries and chicken as well you kinda need something to act as a bit of a palatte cleanser#and I say that as a coleslaw hater#like this plate is very brown! it has no color and that makes it unappealing#additionally that chicken while it looks like it was battered and fried to perfection it does also look underseasoned#but granted idk what seasoning blend they may be using in the batter so I won't knock it until i've tried it#final rating 8/10 I would tear that shit up in a heartbeat but it could be better
