"Many share my name, but there is only one me."Independent fandomless multimuse written by one Hex Flareheart, formerly of dorkindustri not-fame. Generally quite selective.Principal muse is Surox Andor (no, not that one, we don't talk about that one), an ancient immortal sorcerer/interdimensional warlord known for conquering worlds. He is unambiguously evil. His crimes are numerous and heinous. Basically, while going in-depth into them is unlikely, expect possible mentions of a number of unpleasant things this unapologetic asshole has done in pursuit of his goals. This blog is a sideblog; expect follows and asks from hex-flareheart.

You look like you'd put people in some kind of goo or slime or similar. Ooze even. Like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
"Well, you're certainly not wrong." In some regards, a comparison to someone like Baron Draxum wouldn't be inaccurate, minus the part where this man has far less redeeming qualities.

Send "You look like you...", complete the sentence, and see how my muse reacts to being told that!
( Ex: "You look like you bite people." or "You look like you get mad when someone doesn't say "bless you" when you sneeze." )

Surox, favorite world you've interacted with?
"Well, that's certainly a forward question." He has to take a moment to think on this. "...there was a world I'd previously left a side project on, centuries ago. I believe I've alluded to said side project before. I never expected to return to it- something of a backwater, that one, at least in the eyes of someone like myself- but when that Azure Dragon emerged from it, I was suitably intrigued."
"The only tragic part of that was her remaining beyond my control, but that's fine. She's indirectly shaped several of my projects since. Who knows, maybe I'll pay that one a visit again sometime."

"Spiral Energy..." Oh god what now. "Truly a fascinating concept. The will of people made manifest. Infinite potential for evolution realized. It's really a shame that it's such a difficult force to utilize; if I'd had access to it, I likely would've attempted to use it as a component in the dragons, instead of Spark of Divinity." ...yeah okay the concept of Spiral dragons sounds simultaneously sick as hell and also terrifying, thank you for that mental image.
"Tragically, I know enough about it to know I'd never be able to leverage it. I'm certainly of the wrong type, shall we say." Putting it mildly there, chief.
#gonna go ahead and reblog this one for the day crowd#because I wrote this at fucking midnight almost#(and it was lodged in my brain while at work yesterday so)

Powerscaling is at this point something I don't really engage a whole lot with, if mostly because I don't find it particularly useful, especially when comparing across universes. Also, I'm at a point with writing where I'm more willing to treat characters as writing implements, and acknowledge that sometimes defining anything resembling a hardline power level can be counterproductive to a function a character serves. Literally talked at length about that regarding Surox last week.
All that said, of my characters who do have established power levels, reigning queen is currently miss Not-Appearing-On-This-Blog-Except-As-A-Guest-Muse, Naka, who is a living delete button. This is not even an exaggeration. She's also pretty much the only character I have that operates on scales that could exist anywhere in the ballpark of, say, Gurenn Lagann. This is not to say she could compete; as she is right now, she absolutely cannot.
Most of my other characters tend to operate more in the realm of "could conceivably knock down a building", with some exceptions like Surox (nebulously Strong Enough To Not Readily Be Able To Be Defeated, Merely Inconvenienced™), Yuki Sakura (literally star-powered), and a couple other gods and miscellaneous elemental beings. Probably most of that'll be discussed on morsstellae, given pretty much all of them are from Rutania.
Also I guess there's the dragon Surox previously fought, who is very readily comparable to Godzilla, so I'll let you put two and two together on where she falls.

Okay I gotta know if this isn't classified info or something, how exactly did you meet Surox, Irene? Gotta be one heck of a tale there.
"That story is longer than your entire lifespan." Okay that has to be an exaggeration.
"Kidding! But in all seriousness, that's really a tale that requires more time than I can afford to spend right now. I'm a busy woman, after all. Maybe another time." This is definitely not in part because I don't actually have a fleshed-out answer to this question at this time.

Examine! An unusual metal shard. Unblemished silver in appearance, but it vibrates with an unusual energy, thrumming with an unknown power. It almost looks like it was once a piece of a greater whole... And despite looking like silver, its material composition is anything but.
A fascinating sliver of metal of unknown origin. Innocuous and unassuming it may look, but there's clearly something more to this, whatever it may be. It certainly isn't any ordinary silver. What secrets could this possibly hold?

Examine! That weird fuckin William's Burger Castle that seemed to manifest out of nowhere on your. Secret lair? Vacation place? WHATEVER that hidden planet you two used, Surox and Irene.
This was not here earlier. What even is this, some... fast food establishment? To service who? How did this "William" even find this place to begin with?
A random fast food joint that suddenly and mysteriously appeared on Nemora during our most recent visit. I think I've seen others of this brand before! Surox seems baffled by it, but I for one wouldn't object to a burger right about now.

Examine! A random-ass grief seed, for Surox-
The crux of the Incubators' machinations. A little relic filled with one's misery, and eager to absorb more. Eager to cause more. A miniature calamity. Elegant, sure, but inefficient and unambitious. Truly emblematic of the Incubators' failings.

Send “Examine!” and an item or person and I’ll write an RPG description of it/them.
topheavybrawler:
(For example, a stormtrooper mask:
“A white mask with a black visor on the front. Putting it on, you realise that the visor isn’t even transparent. How are you expected to do anything competently like this?”)

Irene Andor
How the fuck did someone like him marry someone like her?
Faceclaim: Izabella from The Misfit of Demon King Academy
Surox has a lot of people who work under him, but almost no one can be said to work alongside him. Almost no one, except, of course, his wife.
Irene Andor sticks out like a sore thumb, to put it bluntly. Where Surox is an unambiguously evil, greed-driven asshole, Irene is a sweet, gentle individual. She acts like a soft mother, and very much looks the part as well. How the fuck did Surox land this woman, much less keep her?
No one really knows the answer to that question except Surox and Irene. As mentioned in Surox's bio, he tends to separate his personal life from his "business" life, and the same very much applies to Irene as well, though her role in the "business" in question is very different from Surox's. Where Surox acts as the figurehead of his empire, making decisions and solving problems by force when the situation calls for it, not to mention all the "projects" he gets up to on the side, Irene is all about logistics and coordination. She's the macro to his micro, to borrow some RTS terminology.
The main work Irene does is managing personnel and assets; Surox hands her a problem to solve, and she coordinates the movement and assignment of everything and everyone needed to solve that problem. On the daily, this means managing their extensive logistics network, as well as managing their numerous scouting and "prospecting" forces. On a less regular basis, this means deciding what units or squads to send on assignments, what resources and equipment to allocate them, etc.
In other words, Irene is pretty much the one who runs the actual empire part of Surox's empire, and this is something Surox himself is more than happy to admit. For her part, Irene seems to enjoy this work, and most who are under Surox's employ who have seen her would agree that she's probably the most pleasant person around at any given time. And for someone of her demeanor, she is seemingly remarkably unfazed by the things Surox gets up to. At no point is the evils of Surox's actions hidden; he sees no value in hiding it from anyone, least of all his wife.
So this bears repeating the question: How the fuck?

OC Lore, Give Us Something On Miss Mystery Over There
In a twist that quite possibly anyone could've seen coming if they noticed any one of the multiple times I alluded to her previously, "miss mystery" is none other than Irene Andor, Surox's wife. She's mostly non-combatant, but if there's anyone who could be argued to run Surox's empire more than him, it's her.
She's also sweet as a marshmallow. And yes, she's a milf.
