“They’re all dead. All eight of them, blown to a million pieces, at first we thought it had to have been a land mine they stepped on but we’re not completely sure… what do you need us to do Negan” the recruit said. “Go to Simon’s second satellite post and start getting the men ready, it’s the closest one to where they were recruiting at, so if it was something more than just an accident they will be coming there. It may just be an accident but we need to prepare for every fucking outcome. After two weeks nothing had happened; Jared had returned a day later and had brought with him food from the Kingdom. Simon had returned from the Hilltop with food as well as working utensils and said that there weren’t any fighters at the Hilltop and that their leader, Gregory was a weasel that was easy to convince to take the deal and that there would be more each week. Negan knew something was off by what he said but didn’t push it and sent him and Arat to make the same offer to Oceanside.

Just then; Mary appeared “Mom?” Dean and Sam said as tears filled their eyes “I believe in you boys and I love y’all too, you’re the only ones that can stop this and I’m sorry I was the one that started this all-” Mary said as she hugged Dean and Sam. “We will see you soon…” the boys said as they exited heaven and began their journey to hell.

Hell Followed - Chapter 16: Family doesn’t End in Blood

Dean, Sam, Castiel, Crowley, Rowena and Ben arrived at Jody place. Dean and Sam led Ben inside; where Jody was waiting with Claire and Alex. “Claire and Alex will help Ben get settled in“ Jody said, Ben hugged Dean one last time before he followed Claire and Alex inside. “How bad is it?“ Jody asked “Castiel, Crowley and Rowena will stay here with y’all, just in case while we’re gone and thank you for this“ Dean said. “Where are you two going? “ Jody said “Heaven-“ Sam said. “There’s an entrance to heaven not too far from here at a playground, but I’m not sure how you will be able to enter” Castiel said. Sam’s eyes glowed red and yellow as he said “oh, I’m about to break that fucking door down!“ Sam said. Sam and Dean arrived at the entrance where Castiel said it would be, and then Sam went to work as the combined powers of Lucifer and the ones given to him by Azazel flowed through his veins. He used his mind to break down the door; as they entered through the gates of heaven, they went straight to one person first.

 And as they opened the door to his room; all they could hear as they entered was, “what in the hell have you fuckin idjits got into now?” “Hello Bobby, we need some help-“ Dean said “let me get my scotch” Bobby said. He poured two glasses and kept the bottle for himself “so, boys what do you need?“ Bobby asked. “Do you know what part of heaven John is in?“ Dean said. “Why?” Bobby asked. “Because, all hell has broken loose down there and the creature we’re trying to kill; John spent some time being tortured right beside its cage“ Sam said. “The Shedim-“ Bobby said as he down the rest of the bottle. “Yes, how did you know-“ Dean said “ Rumors spread when you’re being tortured in hell, anyways he is on the other side of heaven. The only door over there, but why did you come to me first?“ Bobby said. “Because, you’re our family Bobby, always have been, always will be; we had to see you first-“ Sam said. “Family doesn’t end with blood“ Bobby said. “It doesn’t start with it either- “ Dean said as he hugged Bobby and whispered into his ear “I need you to give Lisa a message if she is up here; tell her, I love her and I will make this right, if it’s the last thing I do- “ “Be careful sons…” Bobby said as they left. Dean and Sam arrived at the entrance to John’s door and entered, and as they entered all they heard was, “boys, I’ve been waiting for you, it’s time for us to talk… “

Sam raced to check on Ben. Ben saw Sam coming from a few blocks down and ran to meet him. Ben remembered like his mom did, and he knew after all this time if Sam is here then something happened. “Where is she? Is she ok?” Ben said “Dean is with her, he sent me to make sure the thing didn’t come after you; it’s not good Ben” Sam said. By the time they arrived back; Castiel and Crowley had arrived in the pimp mobile. Sam led Ben inside to find Dean closing her eyes, Ben broke as he ran to hold his mother’s body “Ben, I can promise you two things. One; I will find a way to bring her back and two; I’m gonna kill the son of a bitch that did this to her. Now, I know you have no reason to trust me but I need to take you to a friend of ours where you will be safe until we get the son of a Bitch that did this“ Dean said. “I’ll go, but we can’t leave her here not like this” Ben said “I’d never Leave her here like this, she is coming with us. I’ll pull the car around, Sam get some blankets“ Dean said. 

Dean wrapped Lisa gently and laid her body in the trunk of Baby. Ben hugged him as he tried to keep it together “I promise you, even if it costs me my life; I’ll keep that promise to you, now go wait in the car I need to talk to Castiel” Dean said. Dean motioned for Cas to come here while Sam was talking to Crowley. “Cas, I do remember what you said when I killed you, and I want you to know I do love you too. You’re my best friend and I want you to know that you can always talk to me about anything, don’t hold things in like I did. Because it just cost me everything, but I need a favour. I’m taking Ben to Jody’s but I’m asking you to stay there and protect him, and get Rowena or Crowley to do a cloaking spell.” Dean said. “I’ll do this Dean, but where are you and Sam going?“ Castiel asked “Hunting-“ Dean said as his eyes changed again for a brief second “Dean, you need to hear this- “ Sam said Dean came over to Sam and Crowley “what is it? “ Dean said “There might be a way to find out more about the shedim, it was a rumour but I’m not sure if it was true; but moose and squirrel, I’m telling you it’s worth a look at-” Crowley said “Spill it now” Dean said “the rumour was that there was a soul tortured close to the shedim cage; Azazel had the soul torture close to the cage because he wanted to break the man quick. And only the princes of hell and Lucifer knew where the cage was down there, the soul that they said was torture there was; John Winchester“. Crowley said “looks like we’re gonna have to have a talk with Dad…” Dean said.

The song Ramble on by Led Zeppelin screamed through Baby as Dean pressed the gas all the way to the floor, as it topped out at 180.Sam wanted so bad to turn the music off and ask Dean something but he always remember the number one rule; Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cake hole. Dean finally got tired of the constant look from Sam and turned the music off “what is it Sam. What do you want to know” Dean said. “How are you so sure that the Shedim is going after Lisa and Ben” Sam said. “Because she’s the only woman I’ve ever really truly loved and I mean loved with everything I had in me. And when I had to leave her it broke me, I promised myself I’d never love someone like that again. I’d never even try to love again, I can take loving you and Castiel because you’re my brother and Castiel is my best friend. But I can’t take the heartbreak of loving someone the way I loved her again.” Dean said. “And you believe it’s gonna go after Ben because you love him, because he is Lisa son?” Sam said “No, the Shedim will go after Ben because he is my son. I’ve always known, even when Lisa said he wasn’t. There’s no way in hell that boy ain’t my son, and I’ll be Damn if this son of a bitch does anything to them. Sammy, I swear to you; if I don’t get there in time, I’m gonna hunt this bitch down. And I’m gonna tear whatever fucking heart it has out and shove it down it’s throat before I rip the bitches head off, now how much longer is it to Cicero” Dean said. 

“One more hour, and Dean, keep calm. Let go of the guilt because we can’t have you go dark side again” Sam said. “Oh, trust me the next time I go dark side I’ll be the one in control “ Dean said. Dean and Sam pulled up to Lisa’s house; the door was already wide open, they got there just in time to see the shedim dig it’s talons inside Lisa “ Lisa no!!!!!” Dean said as he hurried to catch her as the shedim sped away faster than anything they had seen before. “Lisa, stay with me don’t you die on me!” Dean said “Dean?” Lisa said “you remember me?” Dean said. “You never forget the one person you truly loved, no matter what kind of mind wipe you go through. Yes, I know what Castiel did, it lasted a few months. And I was angry because I didn’t get a goodbye, Ben didn’t either, we wanted you to stay Dean.” “Where is Ben?“ Dean said as tears began to roll down his eyes “He is safe, he is at a friend’s house a couple blocks down.” Lisa said “Sammy, go make sure he doesn’t get hurt“ Dean said. Sam ran out and down the street to make sure Ben was safe “Dean, promise me you will keep your son safe; yes, he is your son, I just didn’t want you to feel like you had to stay. I wanted you to always have a choice“ Lisa said. “I promise ,and I always knew and I never stopped loving y’all“ Dean said. “I never stopped loving you Dean Winchester.....” Lisa said with her last breath. Dean let out a blood boiling scream as he held Lisa’s limp body. And his right shadow arm started to glow as his anger reached a boiling point; the mark returned but this time something was different as Dean arose, his eyes change once again except while his left eye stayed normal, his right became red and black. “I understand what Amara meant now“ Dean said.
