something that always gets me is that after said intense staring, they both startle. like, they realized they were having a momemt and it was too intimate for them too

every time i get to this scene i get so flustered. it feels like i am not supposed to be watching this because it is too intimate

carmy says to syd “you make me better at this” while looking directly down at her. his eye contact is intense. then he says “i wouldn’t wanna do it without you,” reassuring sydney that they’re doing this together. how am i supposed to react to that? the tension between them is something i haven’t seen before

The mood of season 3 was so depressing you just can't get into it

the editing team cut together a scene that depicts Carmy having a panic attack outside. he’s thinking about his ‘girl that’s a friend/girlfriend’ and his dysfunctional family, which causes him to keep panicking. then he thinks of the moment his business partner/friend walked into his life and starts to calm down. the song playing was distorted when he panics with thoughts of his relationship and family, but plays correctly when he starts calming down with memories of meeting his coworker. that edit was shown to chris storer, and approved by him and the studio. and no one on the team wants to acknowledge the romantic implications of what they released ?? absolutely not be so fr

Bitch! I always said the confirmation when I first watched that Sydcarmy was a romance was the song while they were cooking together that, in the one silence in their dialogue, goes "this is what love is for", right?

I didn't even hear it because I listened for it. The music SWELLS. It gets louder just for that line of the scene, to act as strong as a line of dialogue, why?

Because, of course, the part we already knew, Carmy is helping Sydney strain broth. They're cooking together, collaborating on something they love in the same way - their arc together - and helping each other. "This is what love is for".

All that still stands like it did that first time when I went "oop- I'm right" but I forget that the music SWELLED so you didn't have to even be someone who listens for it, it tells you straight up. It gives a second of instrumental getting louder first to signal you to listen to the music so you don't miss it, then it comes in with "this is what love is for".
