something that people really dont understand about ADHD is that we dont “jump from one idea to the next”
we have very fast, very associative minds that connect ideas. we have a train of thought, it just goes WAY faster than yours!
example: im thinking about dogs. that makes me think of pitbulls, which makes me think of an animal planet show i enjoy. the show connects to tv in general, which makes me think of my favorite cartoon. i associate my favorite cartoon with art and animation, and i wind up thinking about shading techniques.
TL;DR: having ADHD is kinda like playing a lifelong game of 7 Degrees of Kevin Bacon

Sometimes I sit here and think WHY THE HECK DOES CUPHEAD AND MUGMAN ONLY HAVE 3 HIT POINTS and then I remember they’re literally made of glass. Then I’m like holy shit those poor little cups! Like imagine being made out of literal fragile breakable material and then having to go up and fight all these hard battles literally constantly! Like damn that’s why whenever they get hit you hear the sound of glass cracking. Like it should be obvious but sometimes when objects are personified certain quality of the original objects are changed around but not in this case. I say again, those poor little cups.

My favorite interpretation of Elder Kettle has to be Swimmingbird941’s in youtube.
Just some crazy old guy who wants his kids to kill the devil so he doesn’t go to hell for his bad deeds.
They go to visit him before fighting king dice and he says “You have until midnight” and Swimming adds in “If you don’t save my soul by the witching hour I’ll burn in hell eternally!”
