I feel like the last Bristolian pirate fits their whole vibe of “oh ok something bad happened to me, guess the next logical step is to become a pirate”

16 - have you wrote a backstory song?

I’m probably going to try to adapt Randy dandy-O or some kind of old drinking song for their backstory because the very repetitive and silly lyrics seem to suit Ghost (and it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that drinking songs are easier to play on guitar /s)

1 - “id” Info

Name: Ghost

Age: They lost count

Gender: I’m not even sure he knows what that is at this point, but xe uses any pronouns

Criminal record: she’s done as many crimes as possible, but will argue that since they’re technically dead fae can’t get a criminal record

3 - how’d they get it?

They died onboard the Charon (the wayfarers ship) and it tied them to it in the afterlife, so ae is stuck haunting the ship even when the people that killed it are long dead

6 - is their backstory based on any existing one?

I kind of just modelled it around old campfire ghost stories I was told as a kid and made it so he follows the same rules and logic as traditional ghosts.

Their chosen weapon is a sword (specifically a cutlass) because she’s been trained in using it from a young age.

Out of necessity he uses knives because in ghost stories that’s the thing they seem to be able to use even when they’re incorporeal so she follows the same logic if ne isn’t possessing someone.

Xe avoids guns just because they don’t quite have the same aesthetic as a cutlass.

They're *some form* of nonbinary, using they/it pronouns. I swear thats where the unintentional self-insert ends.

The Impetuous Wayfarers' Society is a band of rogue immortals. Traveling across the universe, they search for fresh tragedies to make light of with story, song, and the occasional flamethrower.

Ghost - Blue @probablynotadragon

Ghost is a literal ghost who haunts the crew’s ship, The Charon. Despite possibly being the oldest of the crew, xe feels like a younger sibling. A younger sibling who might kill you with a cutlass.

Artemis Shaw - Artemis @artemisisqueer

Artemis is the Skeleton on Parade and the Skeleton on Parade is Artemis. As long as the the idea of it persists, they will never truly die. With an immortal crew to remember it and enough bravado to set the stars ablaze, it will be quite some time before they are gone for good.

Phoenix is a gay witch who exists out of spite. They stole from the rich and gave to the poor, but who knows what their morals are anymore.

Jess would be a science officer if anyone on the ship actually had a job. In the absence of such responsibilities, she sates her idle hands with the devil’s work, causing chaos amid the crew and plotting her own downfall.

S.C.R.A.P. was a scientist, before they became science’s unwilling victim. Their body was replaced with mechanical parts and their mind bound by rules made by others. But SCRAP is an inventor still. With enough creativity, any rule may be circumvented. Any action can be justified.
