We need to talk about tumblr's systematic fatphobia.

Posts of fat people are being marked as "sexual content" even more frequently than they used to, but now we have this fun little addition as brought to my attention by a friend;

That's right. Not just blatant kink-shaming, but now, if you make posts about or with fat people, you can now be flagged as "promoting disordered eating"! Multiple completely innocent posts of fat people literally just existing in their own bodies have already been flagged this way.

Raise hell about it. Reblog and share fat content more than ever. Don't let this shitty website tell you that your bodies are "wrong" or that you aren't allowed to exist publicly.

Tumblr staff, if you care about eating disorders (you fucking don't), stop promoting this sense of shame and fear and disgust towards the idea of weight gain. Stop shaming and censoring people for posting about their own bodies and experiences. Fatphobia kills. Fatphobia causes disordered eating. Fatphobia is the disease you should be worried about.

This has also been disproportionately affecting fat trans people, because of course it has.

Don't stop talking about it. Don't let this bullshit ceo silence you.

after eight years, I finally updated my huge Historical Fashion Reference & Resources Doc! Now in the form of a MUCH more easily updated Google Doc with better organization, refreshed links, and five more pages of books and online resources.

I know tumblr hates links, but it’s worth it for a doc that I can now update with far more regularity going forward! RIP to the original, you did your duty for far longer than you should have. 😔🙏🏼

For people looking for leads on how to replace Duolingo, r/languagelearning is actually full of resources. I highly recommend taking a look through the links in the sidebar, such as Resources and the discord masterlist. They also link to a guide on how to learn a new language which has a section on how to find resources, which in turn lists a couple popular repositories.

My personal recommendation in general when looking for a language learning resource is to find something dedicated to just one specific language, as those will have much more in-depth courses.

All that said, Duolingo does have the advantage of being particularly easy to access, and having a pretty varied list of languages available, so yeah it's totally understandable if people want to stick with it.

DayD-

DayD is a term/label for those who experience/engage with vivid daydreams. This term is meant to be an alternative from maladaptive Daydream Disorder, as somebody who uses the term DayD engages in it as a casual thing and not as a coping mechanism! this term could apply to writters who experience their worlds before they write them, storytellers, post recovery MADD, systems who see this label as useful for their headspace/ alters, etc!

This is Not a MADD label!!! While daydreaming seems like a good way to comfort yourself, using it to cope can cause severe mental issues such as depression. Engage safely!!!

she has no hospital backing her, and that is the problem. The insurance company has no way to pay for legal support, and the hospital has little say in how the records are maintained. the case would be very diffucult for EITHER side, meaning it could go almost nowhere for the money wasted. If it was more feasable on the defenses side, she would have been out of practice a long time ago from defendant testimony ALONE.
